La unidad # 305 tiene capacidad para 6 personas con una cama king, TV de 32 'en el dormitorio principal, 2 camas individuales en el dormitorio de invitados TV de 18' y un sofá cama en la sala de estar con TV de 48 '. Great, affordable place to stay on the beach

We enjoyed our stay here! Everything was as advertised. The only downfall of this location is it’s not within walking distance to anything other than the beach. No problem if you’ve got a car, but if you want to experience anything else that Destin has to offer, you will need to drive.

If you are a smoker I recommend being on the 1st floor as you have to go outside to the designated smoking areas to smoke. Not far from the beach. Great view. I did have the chance to see other units and I will say 305 East was better maintained than the others. The other wasn’t bad it just wasn’t my style. It was a great space for my husband and I and out 3 adult kids. We brought an air mattress for my 19 year old son. We opted out of using the sofa bed.

The unit was nicely decorated, great ocean view, and had all of the amenities. We also love the two nice swimming pools. The Islander is close to McGuire's Irish Pub , AJ's, and lots of good food. Our overall stay was great, but the King master bedroom mattress was a extremely firm, would suggest a mattress topper to soften it. We do love the Islander, nice and quiet, and very friendly staff. We love the location and will be back.

We love the location and the family feel you get at this property. The only complaint we had this year was that the pickle ball courts were under construction (due to open 3/16) and did not actually open for the kids to play until 3/21. That is one of the highlights for the kids, so this was a big disappointment for them.

Date mistake

The property was very clean with great location, enjoyed very much. Only complaint was that I had accidentally booked wrong check out day and when we checked in I explained this to facility. No one I could speak with about it…bummer. It was totally my mistake but was hoping to atleast get a portion of last night back that we couldn’t use.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Gorgeous view, great communication, well stocked kitchen for cooking basic meals. Direct view of pool from balcony and unobstructed beach view. If you are staying more than 3 days or have more than 4 people, Bring a little extra of paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing packs, laundry soap, shampoo,conditioner, body wash, and trash bags. There was no in unit laundry but there was coin laundry on site. They have shopping carts to help haul around your groceries and bags and walking was pretty good for both old people and toddlers. Beds were comfy for 4 but we didn’t try out the sofa bed. We were so glad we picked this beautiful spot.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were fortunate to find Unit 305 available for a last minute trip to Destin for the July 4th holiday week. So many condos require a 6-7 night stay which was not possible for our family so this unit worked out perfectly for the 5 nights we needed. The unit was clean, beautifully updated, spacious, had all the basic necessities, and a beautiful view of the pool and gulf coast! The amenities were as advertised so we came prepared with some extra necessities from home and then made our grocery run to the Winn Dixie 1.5 miles away. Since there was no washer/dryer in the unit it was nice to have linen exchange days for fresh towels. I would like to suggest updating the amenities list to specify there is no w/d in the unit and only a coin laundry available as both were listed which led to my misunderstanding. Not a huge deal since we tend to over pack and would not have stopped us from renting, but we might have packed a little differently. The beach chair/umbrella service was great and the attendant was very nice! We brought two of our own beach chairs, since there were 4 of us, to save on additional chair rental costs, but it was nice to have that option as well. The walk from the condo to beach was super easy and not far at all. The beach area was really crowded but that was likely due to the holiday week. We also enjoyed going for walks/runs in the morning along the long stretch of Gulf Shore Drive which had side walks for added safety. The pool area was well maintained and very nice as well. Our daughter was so excited to come home one evening and find them showing Finding Nemo on the big screen by the pool. She watched from our balcony and had a great view! Overall I would highly recommend this unit at the Islander and would definitely stay here again!

I feel like our unit could have been cleaner; I vacuumed on the second day we were there, the walls were dirty. The unit could use a good scrub, but overall we enjoyed our stay! we will return to the Islander again; we may try a different unit, or hope that if we use the same unit again, that it is cleaner.

Making memories

This was the second time my husband and I stayed in this unit and once again it did not disappoint! What was an even greater blessing was that our son, his wife and our Grand-daughter, who was just under two were able to stay part of the time. It was her first time to the Ocean and the memories we made with them will be treasured forever! ;)

Great place!!

Overall great place and great stay! We love that it was gated and a great area in general. No issues with our rooms or the hotel. Everyone was friendly and easy to get along with! Will be back next time!

Poor housekeeping

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was filthy when we got there. Both bathroom sinks were clogged with hair and so was the bathtub in the hallway to where none of them drained this was something that when housekeeping cleaned it should’ve noticed that they didn’t drain. The dishwasher was clogged and the pump was out we had to call maintenance on that and turned out that we did not have a dishwasher the entire time we were there and no one told us that after they performed maintenance on it and found the pump to be defective. Overall where we stayed was nice on the beach but we will not be coming back.

Beach Family Vacation

The property manager was more than helpful. The condo was clean and spotless. The check in process ran smoothly. Just a short small walk to the beach. Overall we had a very nice vacation and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at his condo.
