Este es un apartamento espacioso de 800 pies cuadrados en el nivel inferior. Se encuentra a orillas del magnífico Lago Superior y está a pocos pasos de la playa. I can't imagine waking up to these views every day. The property is absolutely gorgeous. Bob and Julie are gems. So sweet and helpful during our stay. Everything you need is here. We really enjoyed the sauna/shower and having a bonfire on the beach. It was the perfect jumping off point for our adventures in the UP. Book this stay. I promise you will not be disappointed. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Was just what we needed for our getaway , loved the sauna. Even though the weather was not ideal we had a great time going to waterfalls in the area and a boat tour .

What an amazing stay! Julie and Bob have thought of everything and were wonderful hosts. We loved watching the sun rise and set from the deck and the beach. The views were glorious and the sand easy to walk on. We even got treated to the northern lights one evening! Im hoping to go back sometime.

Julie and Bob are truly one in a million! From the moment we booked, they felt like caring grandparents—checking in to make sure we made it safely to their place and offering thoughtful recommendations throughout the weekend. Their home is a little slice of heaven, from the comfiest bed I’ve slept in for ages to the cozy fires while watching the sunset over Lake Superior. Every detail made us feel so welcome and cared for. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts or a more perfect stay.

Bob & Julie met us upon arrival. They were friendly and showed us around the property and how to utilize everything in the apartment and out on the deck and beach. We were pleasantly surprised with the wine, food, and chocolate treats. Apartment was immaculate and provided more than we needed. Really enjoyed the sauna, deck overlooking the beach, and being down on the beach. Location was central to exploring much of the UP.

What a lovely place

Julie and Bob's place was easily one of my favorite and most memorable stays. Everything was comfortable, clean and full of thoughtful touches. The sauna and private access to the lake shore was amazing. Julie was very attentive and helped us with everything we needed. We have already recommended this place to several of our friends! Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Thanks again for a lovely getaway.

What an absolute gem. Cherry Pointe Cottage is clean, cozy, and conveniently placed between Munising (which has excellent excursion opportunities) and Marquette (which is where we went to eat and do a bit of shopping). Bob and Julie were the most welcoming hosts and gave spot-on recommendations and intel about the area. Waking up to the sound of the lake waters lapping at the beachfront and ending the day with a campfire by the water made for the perfect bookend to our busy days. We came here to celebrate our anniversary and throughout our stay we felt welcome and cared for. This is a special place that we feel fortunate to have found.

Great location to relax or explore the U.P.

As with every other review, we loved their place! It's perfectly between Munising and Marquette with easy access to lots of outdoor trails. It felt just like home, even more so coming to the breakfast food to give us time to get to the grocery. Don't miss going out to see the stars!

Location and view are awesome!

Great stay! Very peaceful location right on the lake, simply beautiful. And the hosts go above and beyond…wine, chocolates, breakfast items, and Bob shared his personal craft beer with us. You can’t go wrong with booking this place. Thank you Bob and Julie for sharing your home with us.

Wonderful setting, view, home and host.

This is a perfect place to stay in and around AuTrain. The view from the home is beautiful along with access to the water Julie & Bob are the perfect hosts. They make your stay special with caring for your comfort and visit with many extras - breakfast for your first morning, wine and treats. The home is beautiful & meticulous and has more items than one could ever need. The bed is extremely comfortable Their attention to detail is in every aspect of their place. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay or more wonderful hosts.

Lovely Stay on Lake Superior

This was a fantastic stay. The view and location were perfect for what we wanted to do on this trip. It is close to activities like pictured rocks and has lots of good dining options if you prefer eating out. It was a little different staying in the house with hosts but there is an easily accessible private entrance and the back yard area including a deck overlooking the lake and a private beach were left all to us during the stay. A nice boardwalk around to the entrance made loading and unloading the car easy. There were lots of extra amenities including a sauna and a pool table. The hosts gave us tons of good information and even had wine, chocolates plus breakfast food stocked in the refrigerator.

Julie and Bob were SUPERIOR hosts.

Their place was perfect for our UP get-away: the location right on Lake Superior was magical. We swam, enjoyed the sun from their beach chairs and, checked out all of the beautiful rocks on their beach. The rental was clean but homey. We could tell it was a place they cared for and enjoyed spending their time in in the off-season. More amenities than we could’ve ever hoped for including tons of two player games, A SAUNA, exercise equipment, a nice TV, and wine and chocolates on arrival. Definitely recommend this place to any and all hoping to have a relaxing and/or activity-filled vacation.

We are both retired school teachers from the lower peninsula who moved here to live in this beautiful area. We previously lived in Sterling Heights where we raised our six children. We know have 5 wonderful grandchildren and a sixth is due this summer. All of our children love to come visit us here, and it has become a very special place for them as well as us. We've made many meaningful memories here. We hope that you will do the same, and enjoy our home as much as we do.

This property is located between the two cities of Munising and Marquette. We are in the middle of the Hiawatha National Forest and some of the most beautiful shoreline in the Upper Peninsula. From the property you can see Grand Island in the distance and picturesque little AuTrain Island is within a
kayak ride away. You cannot find another lodging closer to the water than Cherry Pointe Cottage Apartment or more accommodating hosts.

Although we live on the premises, you will be the only other people on this property. You have a private keyed entrance and a very large area to stay; more spacious and homey than a hotel/motel room. It's a cozy, comfortable apartment.
