Great host, fabulous views

We had a very relaxing couple days in Seldovia. We could have easily spent our time lounging on the deck overlooking the harbor. Sandy was incredibly helpful helping us with logistics of getting to town and providing contacts for some local activities. I'd highly recommend booking here!

Fantastic place to stay

We wish we could keep this place a secret hideaway for just us but we know that won't work. What a great place to stay! The deck has the most fabulous view and comfortable chairs, great to relax after a hike. Beautiful sunsets. The inside is perfect with a comfy bed and nice linens. We had the best weekend and look forward to staying here again.

Loved it

We loved staying here. So peaceful. Food options in town are limited but what we ate was very good. Rented a gold cart and went all over. Were there during salmonberry season. Picked some and added it to the vanilla ice cream from the local ice cream shop. So good! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

A little slice of Heaven

What a gorgeous place! The accommodations were exceptional even with the pouring rain. The huge deck provided an oasis from the rain but allowed us to take in the gorgeous view. The indoor accommodations were perfect. Sandy, the host, provided excellent information. What a gem of a place!

Perfect getaway on a small harbor

A friend and I spent 3 nights here in July - it was a perfect place to hang out, watch the harbor scene, and explore Seldovia area. Extra bonus was a couple evenings of sun on the deck. While I haven't stayed anywhere else in Seldovia, having walked around town, I'd venture that this waterfront suite was the best in town. One caveat - the couch isn't meant for sleeping on, which I did, but someone who needs a firm mattress should not count on that as an option.

Little slice of heaven

I grew up spending summers in Seldovia and wanted to introduce this magical little town to my husband. We only had a couple days and I was hoping to find a place to stay that would let him really relax and soak in everything about the area that has enchanted me for years. Well I’m Wife Of The Year, because I found the PERFECT little spot in Sandy and Phil’s adorable studio on the harbor! Not only was the space impeccably clean and welcoming, it was just charming and so cozy that we felt at home the moment we opened the door! Sweet little kitchenette and a super easy grill set up outside (on the AMAZING partially covered deck) to cook on, television with access to streaming networks for the rainy late nights, very comfortable bed and linens and plenty of thoughtful touches here and there to meet our needs, and then some!The location and view just cannot be matched; we spent each morning enjoying our coffee while we watched the boats head in and out of the harbor, otters happily napping, seabirds overhead and the magnificent backdrop of the misty mountains framing it all. Absolute heaven!Centrally located in town but the private deck makes all the difference; suddenly you’re alone with your own private Seldovia! The warm, helpful owners live above the unit and we never heard a thing; it was awesome having them close by in case we needed something but SO appreciated that we never felt like we were imposing. My husband even forgot they were there!We’ll be back!

Room at Asta gallary.

Great room and PRIVATE deck overlooking the marina. Awesome views from the deck. Room was comfortable and cozy. Host was fantastic. We used the gas grill with cast iron skillet and griddle for cooking, worked well. Be advised grocery stores only stock frozen meat, you need to plan ahead to defrost. Absolutley loved our stay.

Restful escape

Sandy is an amazing host. Seldovia is a beautiful place to explore and get away from the business of the everyday life. My husband and I were able to really slow down enjoy Gods creation and just enjoy the simplicity of being out in nature with the comfort of a clean and comfortable place to come back to each day with amazing views of the harbor and inlet including eagles and otters and other wildlife. I would heartily recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Seldovia. There were very many thoughtful amenities. Thank you, Sandy!
