Great trip with the family! Beautiful views- the beach and water were perfect! Condo was nice and clean. Beds were comfortable. The basketball court is not operational which was disappointing for our teens boys but overall we had a great trip!

Good stay with family

Our vacation was really good. The condo was clean and getting to the beach was really easy. The condo bathroom needs updating but the shower pressure was excellent regardless of being on the top floor. Location was central to Destin

Great Place!

We didn't give a full 5 star just because it could use a little work. Ceilings show signs of many leaks and also has many cracks. Worst part was ALL of the power outlets are worn out and almost none of them can hold a plug which was strange and something we've never experienced any where. All in all we would absolutely stay here year after year. Price is right and it's a great location!

Great unit, fun resort!

We have stayed several times at this resort, but this was our first booking with Panhandle Getaways and it was much easier! Communication was clear and prompt, the unit was as described, we had no issues.

Beautiful view

We had a great time in Destin! The property was close to pretty much everything. We didn’t have a vehicle so we either walked or took an Uber. The beach is amazing, soft white sand and very clean! The pools were great except it was pretty windy most our stay so it was kind of chilly to get into the pool. The condo has a beautiful view of the ocean and beach. The place needs to have a deep cleaning. The window drapes and air vents were super dusty. The bedrooms and bathrooms need an upgrade. The beds were comfortable and looked pretty new. Overall the place was great and we had a good time.

Overall the condo is great, great view

Location for this resort is awesome. Beach was beautiful. The bedding in the condo could be updated but other than that it was top notch. The RESORT itself could make some changes. The umbrella rental is a joke. They say no private set ups in front of the rental chairs. We were set up on the front row one day and some disrespectful women laid out their towels 6ft in front of us. There is nobody to regulate the private setups. My advice bring your own chair and set up on the neighboring properties. We won't use this resort again if they have the same umbrella rental company and rules.

Good enough

The room has a great view. New couches in the family room. Place was clean enough. The bunk beds have been removed from the second bedroom, two double beds in there, one of which is very noisy. That bedroom needs a ceiling fan, the a/c doesn't really reach that room well enough. The cable worked in the living room and master bedroom, we brought an Xbox for the kids to use in the 2nd bedroom. I don't think I'd stay here again, but only because of how the complex sets up their own umbrellas and chairs 4 rows deep right in front of the water. They make you rent theirs, or set up your own stuff behind all theirs. This might be nice if you fly in, but if you bring all your own equipment, it's annoying and I think $35 a day for an umbrella and 2 chairs. The condo complex itself was clean and well maintained. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could.

The resort was wonderful but the condo itself was in need of some major TLC.

We loved this resort but will not be returning to this condo. The furniture was falling apart. The couch foot was broken so it sat at an angle. While we were eating dinner a bar stool literally broke underneath me. The bunk bed ladders were broken and there were screw ends sticking out of it the sliced my child’s leg. The cabinet door was broken. The ceiling had been patched many many times and still looked like it was going to fall in. The shower head in the master bath was installed in a way that it was difficult outside of the highest pressure for it not to spray the rest of the bathroom. There was chewed gum stuck under the top bunk of the bunk beds so that my kids looked at it while lying on the bottom bunk. Some of the patio chairs were broken. The kitchen had recently been redone and looked nice. The rest of the unit was in major need of updating and new furniture that wasn’t broken. The resort itself was great. They staff kept the grounds clean. The pools were great. The indoor was perfect when we needed to get out of the sun. It was nice to have an on-site cafe and beachside bar. The beach was kept clean and the chair service was great.

Needed cleaning

The condo needed a good thorough cleaning. After one lap around the living room my 1 years Olds knees and and tops of his feet where black. The cabinets were greasy and sticky, their were food crumbs in the drawers. There was a thick layer of dust on almost every surface. The floor around the toilets where nasty, and the toilet seat in the second bathroom was broken.. with all that being said..... we called and told them our main concerns and they were there the next morning to take care of the list of things I had. The toilet seat never did get fixed however. And the doors to the washer and dryer were broken and wouldn't stay in the track.

This condo is outdated and dirty!

The Good: Wonderful beach view, Close to all the action and restaurants. The Bad inside: This condo is in desperate need of an update and clean. The condo is outdated, stained furniture, broken/metal chairs on the balcony. Pictures that have frames only (no picture). Black ceilings where the vents are located from the clogged furnace filter, sandy floors, dust everywhere especially the dining room light fixture chain, and an exposed electrical outlet in the master bedroom, Dirty grout everywhere and the master bedroom bathroom sink is clogged. The dishwasher is not secure, it falls out towards you when opened. The windows don't shut properly, the sliders don't open properly. We could go on and on and have pictures for all these items and more. The Bad outside: We were not told the main pool was under construction, if you even want to see a view of the ocean you need to go early and pay $$$ to get chairs (and hope to get front row), otherwise the chair company sets up daily and dominates the entire beach. We are not a fan of wrist bands as if we are on spring break but they are required as you come up from the beach or drive in to park your vehicle. I could continue, with all the don'ts with this condo and this entire resort but will just say, keep looking elsewhere! We called Pan Handle Getaways (the morning after we arrived), to try and move to another location for the week but were told they were booked.

We all had a wonderful time very clean everyone was friendly and polite.

Wonderful place to stay the staff and everyone staying there was exceptional we had no problems at all with anything. We stayed on the 20th floor and the view was excellent

Friendly staff and nice facilities. The Condo needs a fresh coat of paint, new bed mattresses in both bedrooms. Celling has multiple leak repairs and staining. The laundry room door needs repair. The front door could use a fresh coat of paint. Kitchen is very nice and updated.

Loved the beach.

Very disappointed in the condo. Dirty refrigerator, stained sofa and bed pillows, 3 lightbulbs out in bathroom, air did not cool bedroom, electrical outlets didn’t work in bedroom and tv did not have cable hookup, uncovered outlet in living area, needs overhaul!! Not a pleasant place to stay!

On the surface it LLC like great and has great views but the furniture was falling apart

We love the location and stayed there in a different unit last year too. This unit looked nice and had great views. However, the furniture was broken down. The chair was being propped up by a piece of wood, we were utilizing the pull out couch in the living room and it was so broken down we had to go buy a blow up mattress. The ventilation was very bad for the bathrooms and the master bedroom door stuck every time and would wake the kids. There was no safety/secondary lock on the 20th floor door so we had to keep a bar stool in front of it to keep the kids from opening the door and on day 3 my son was making a grilled cheese and a Bug as big as my son’s finger came running from underneath the stove. The space is great the condo location and views are great. This unit not so much

The property was in decent shape and the pool was nice.

We thought the condo itself was nice just not well taken care of. The mattress in the main bedroom was terribly uncomfortable and lumpy. The entire place needs a paint job. Also, the fact that the condo didn’t have basic cable or antenna channels (no ABC, NBC, etc) made entertaining the little ones a challenge. In addition, the WiFi was slow that steaming our Netflix and other services wasn’t possible. We had to call and complain the first day to get linens as the ones provided were gross and one was comforter was blood stained. Lastly the furniture in the main space was dated and uncomfortable. The rest of the property outside the condo was great! The pool, hot tub, cafe, and tiki bar were awesome. Having to pay to use the beachfront was a bit tacky as the chair rental service completely blocked the entire beach/water front. Would consider staying a pelican beach again just not this condo.

This is our second year staying in Destin, Florida. We enjoyed our time there, not only at the resort but surrounding area. We visited 5 State parks and took day trips to Gulf Shores, AL and St George Island. The condo had great views of the gulf. Unfortunately the unit is in dire need of remodeling. The furniture is in bad shape. You sink down when sitting on the sofas and the beds are very noisy.The bathroom screen and window lock were broken, 2 cupboard doors broken, don't take the mattress cover off you won't like what you see, not even a lightbulb in 2nd bedroom lamp, cheap small appliances ( toaster, blender etc...), all that is on the owner. The management company could really step up the cleaning. Just basic surface cleaning. I don't think any of the furniture has been moved or under beds swept. Ceiling fans, drapes, top of refrigerator all had heavy layer of dust. Base boards filthy. Our place last year was spotless. My expectations are usually reasonable especially for a rental in a popular area but I don't want to spend the first few days cleaning just to feel comfortable. Also the entrance door could use weather stripping when wind blows there is a loud howling noise. Place advertised dinner seating for 8 but only 5 chairs available. DVD players were not in list of amenities but were in the unit they just didn't work. Why have them then. The place has been used and abused and it shows. We already booked a different unit for next year. Don't say I didn't warn you.
