We very much enjoyed the gorgeous lake view and the overall spaciousness of this home. Home had a lot of movies, games, kitchen items along with plenty of towels, soaps, and bedding items! We had an issue with the thermostat and had no hair dryer. Within minutes of our inquiry, the host was there bringing us a brand newhairdryer while simultaneously addressing the thermostat! That was amazing service!However, there were a couple of pertinent issues; 1) Not ideal for older generations having to constantly manipulate 2 flights of stairs for everything, even those on the main floor had to go down a flight of stairs to find an appropriate shower for easy access. 2) Master bath had no shower and the master whirlpool tub was impossible for an older person to get in or out. 3) All but one of the showers was about a 20 inch step up in order to get in, which was also difficult for anyone, especially older folks. 4) Icemaker did NOT work and freezer leaked onto the floor the entire time we were there. 5) Kitchen cabinets were very unorganized…having them labeled would have been helpful. 6) Only 9 forks were provided in a house which sleeps in excess of 16 people. 7) Guests had to remove all their own trash upon departure!!!

Check-in was great. We were able to get in a little bit early, which was much appreciated. The Internet did show one room with a king and four doubles in the room, which was not the case. Our family greatly enjoyed the wonderful view and the extras that were there like the playground for the young kids.

Wish we could have stayed longer

This property is perfect for family gatherings. Plenty of bathrooms, plenty of eating/gathering spots, plenty of recreational equipment. Highly recommend it for large groups.

Bear Lake getaway

We loved staying at this house. It is located just east of Merlin’s with a good view of the lake and with lake access. The property was clean with big open spaces good for large groups. We loved sitting on the deck playing games.

Love the size of this property inside and out. Great lawn for games and awesome deck. We suggested a few improvements on kitchen supplies to make this a 5-star rating. We really enjoyed gathering here for a large family get-together. Great booking and check-in/check-out process. Fast response to maintenance issue.

This was a family reunion for us involving several of our children and their families.

This was a family reunion for us involving several of our children and their families. Everyone of them said they loved renting the two houses together and would love to do it again. We were impressed with the "luxury" feeling in both houses with wonderful bath towels, soft soap, and bathroom spray. The kitchens were more than adequately supplied with everything you need for large groups. We designated one of the houses as the "quiet" house for those who prefer to not have children running around and had a more serene feeling. The other house was the "noisy" house, for those who had noisy and active children. It worked perfectly for a gathering house for meals and family activities. It worked beautifully. Everyone loved space to move around and no one felt cramped. We had a wonderful experience and are looking forward to doing a repeat trip! Working with Bear Lake Lodging was a great experience. They were so helpful and easy to work with.

Super clean, Super roomy, great views, we absolutely loved our stay here. No critiques. I couldn’t suggest any improvements, we all had such a great time here. Highly recommend, especially with being so close to the water. Just wow. We’re coming back!

A good time was had by all

We had a great time. Everything was as advertised. The washer and vacuum didn’t work but I am sure they will be repaired for the next group. It was close enough that we were able to walk for a lot of our outings. The house was very nice. The rooms were big and accommodated is very well.

Bear Lake reunion

We had a great time except for a couple of hiccups. The breakers in the kitchen blew (they were repaired) and they he fire alarm went off at 3 am our last night. There was no fire, the alarm only went off for a few minutes, but it was disconcerting.

Spacious home with a beautiful view of the lake

The Beach House had 7 nice sized bedrooms and a wonderful great room that included the living, dining and kitchen areas. There was seating for 16 to eat which was very nice for our group of 16 adults and 3 children. It was tastefully decorated and had a pleasant feel. The beds were comfortable with nice linens and towels. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and silverware, pans and baking sheets. It also had plenty of counter space and a large cupboard to store food and supplies in. There were plenty of bathrooms and even a closet of games and balls to use. The huge lawn to the side and back of the house was great for volleyball and games. We had parking for 6-8 cars. We had a few disappointments though. There was only one TV instead of the 2 advertised. This was a problem for the gamers and movie watchers. One of the bedrooms was advertised to have bunks but did not. The direct access to the lake had been cut off by another property owner so we had to walk about 1 block to a small rocky beach. The jet tub did not work. We were not allowed to use the gas fireplace but the heating/AC units worked great. The house needed a bit more cleaning. Baseboards and corners in the rooms had been ignored during cleanings and outer doors were dirty. This was a concern because of the Covid-19 virus. The biggest concern was that the property was advertised as a single house. When we arrived, a new home had been built and attached to it and had a group in it during our stay. The two decks looked onto each other and so there was no privacy when on the decks. They should put up a screen. (But thankfully they were a nice family in the other house). Bear Lake Lodging was wonderful to work with however and answered our questions quickly and even came to the house to help us. We would definitely rent one of their properties again.
