It was ok

We are PP usuals (PH) but this year we stayed at this condo on the third floor in the tower. It was ok, it was mostly clean I enjoyed the remodel kitchen and master bath. However, water leaked from the bottom of the shower leaving a huge mess. Secondly, there was a larger black fuzzy mold patch and water spot on the ceiling above the master bed. When I contacted the leasing company they suggested to send maintenance out to fix it. We declined, I didn’t want to wait around for someone to come fix a problem while I’m on vacation wasting my time nor did I want a stranger in there without us, what would they had done sprayed chemicals on it? Then we’d have that spray around the master bed to breathe in plus that was an internal problem, their suggestion was a cover up for the visible eye. That’s unacceptable, obviously a long term problem that needed major repair! There was only a few washcloths too so we bought an 18 pk of cheap ones, left it there for the next family. Ok so the furniture— it wasn’t comfortable at all, the couches sink in and you could feel the springs. The satellite didn’t work upstairs, no overhead lighting in the rooms or ceiling fans!! The beds were awful, the master bed mattress is very noisy and rock hard with springs being felt, headboard was very loose too, any movement would wake myself or husband due to how loud the bed was. I’ve never slept in such a horrible bed before, it’s VERY OLD. The guest room twin was just as bad. The fridge is so loud too

Nice, but needs some updating and maintenance

Love the kitchen peninsula instead of table to give extra room. Twin bed in second bedroom was convenient. Views are great- we love Pinnacle Port!Updated bathrooms were nice!Great price!!Things to address:Freezer fan is LOUD and freezer never made ice. Couches need to be replaced. At least three lamps didn’t work so there was very little lighting. Also, 3 out of 4 bulbs were blown in upstairs bathroom vanity light. Sheets didn’t fit full size bed in second bedroom. Hard to cook on stove with large microwave above. Like I said, we LOVE the property ands amenities. The staff is excellent, the restaurant at the pool is great, and the location is quiet and family friendly.

Great Stay

Room was ready a couple hours ahead of check in time. Everything as advertised. We have stayed at Pinnacle Port for years and this is the first room we have had that overlooked the pool. I didn’t think I would like it, but it was better than expected. If you have ever been to Pinnacle Port, you know how the elevators can be a slow process. This room is on the third floor, so using the stairs was not a big deal and saved us time. The only negatives I have would be we could have used a couple more wash rags and towels. We had four people and had to do laundry daily. The listing also says there is a gym but after not being able to get into it and sending the owner a message, we found out you have to be an owner and have a code to get in. Overall, we liked the property and would stay again

Vacation time

The place was dirty. Bed sheets dirty and there was sand on the floor everywhere like they didn’t clean at all , the toilets were dirty as well. Not planning another stay here. I did see the reviews before doing the lodging about this property and I thought they were probably exaggerating but no it was true. I did send an email to the manager to please have the apartment clean, but still didn’t matter to management

This property needs major attention…

Let me first say we have visited Pinnacle Port for over 20 years. We love the location and the beach and common areas. This review has nothing to do with Pinnacle Port as a whole; the concerns expressed are about our lodging accommodations. The visit started with me having to clean sand and someone else’s hair out of the fridge and freezer. Disgusting! I had to go buy extra cleaning supplies to wipe down the kitchen. As far as renovations go, the master bathroom and hall bathroom are the only thing updated in this condo. The furniture in the living room is so worn out that it is uncomfortable to sit on it to watch tv. (When the satellite actually worked.) The headboard in the master is propped up against an old, dirty stained box springs standing up against the wall. Watching tv in the master required numerous trips up and downstairs to deal with ongoing satellite issues. We didn’t expect the Ritz Carlton but definitely did not sign up for a rental through VRBO that would be as dirty and dilapidated as this one.

A room at the beach

Check in process was easy. We stay at Pinnacle Port every year. Our room was ready early, and we got the code 2 hours before check in. Upon arrival, we noticed the fridge was wasn’t cool. We put our waters in it, went to dinner and got groceries, and when we got back it still wasn’t cool. I tried contacting the after hours number, but got no answer. We decided to purchase a mini fridge to keep our groceries cool. I contacted the company again, and received no answer. I emailed them back from our checkin is ready email, and received immediate attention the next day. The mechanic came out and told us it just needed to defrost, which it had because we turned the fridge off since it was smelling fried. There were only 2 washcloths for 7 people. Plenty of towels. There was no kitchen rag for the dishes and only 1 hand towel for the kitchen. The beds needed updated. I sleep on a firm bed, but this one was so hard, my hips hurt from sleeping on it. The master shower door opens into the water so you’ll spray water everywhere if you’re not careful. The kitchen is stocked. The living room furniture has no cushion left in any of it. Those were all honest reviews of the place, but… I left a very expensive item. I know, my fault, I’m not blaming them. I contacted them when I realized it that evening. I pestered them to get back with me, and the housekeeping ‘didn’t find my item.’ Which means they didn’t thoroughly clean the unit or they took it and lied.

Condo was not clean

The location is great. The pool and property facilities are wonderful for all ages. This condo however was filthy. The management company never responded once we were there. The owners need to pay more attention to their unit. I don’t have a problem with missing a little when cleaning, but the only clean thing in this condo were the sheets. Thankful for that I guess. Love Pinnacle Port, but this condo was really gross.

Disappointed

Starting with the good. Location, steps to the beach beautiful view. The pools were spectacular with the ocean view. Ample parking.. keyless entry. The ac worked very well. The guest bathroom was updated quite nicely and had a fantastic shower. However it appeared it was the only update done to an otherwise outdated condo.. Understand I'm not a big complainer. I went for the beach and I can live with most of the stuff I'm listing. Had it not been all of it. One or 2 things can be over looked. Owners may not even be aware but since emails werent responded too and towels were never brought after mentioning it I feel the need to mention it again. None of these things ruined my vacation and I didnt expect a 5 star condo. However I did expect towels and a clean room. Upon entering the condo I was surprised at how small it was. There is not enough room for 7 people in this condo. Tried to get the tv to work to occupy kids while we unpacked, it took 30 minutes to figure out not cable or satellite runs off the internet. I could live with the stained carpet. But the over all cleanliness was below my standards. The commodes had mold rings around them. The counters looked dirty. The towels and sheets however did smell clean that was a plus. But we only got 4 towels with the unit for 7 people so we had to go buy more. An expense I wasnt planning on. The cabinets were Overstocked meaning there was plenty of dishes but no room left for our food so we had to leave it out on the counter. There were light switches in every room but no lights hooked to them. Only lamps which had to be plugged in because the on off switch was missing. We had to take bulbs from the kitchen for the hallway light. And although it wasnt mentioned in the add. This is the first condo I've ever rented that did not have atleast a couple of beach chairs, some beach toys or anything at all to accommodate a beach trip. And since we forgot our chairs we had to go buy those as well. Over all for the right price I would consider renting again. For the location. But only if I had limited options.

unit needs work but great location

The unit was not clean. It had clean sheets (I think) but the toilets and showers had mold in them, the fridge had socket stuff in the bottom of it, the kitchen floor was smeared as was the kitchen counter. The carpet has stains and needs to be replaced. The furniture is also very worn. The unit needs some serious TLC. However, the location was great. Right on the beach and 5 minutes from RoseMery and 15 from Pier Park.

This property needs a lot of work

This unit is run down, dirty, neglected and in disrepair. Property Mgmt Company Counts Resorts was closed and the VRBO help line would disconnect or send us to voicemail. We were stuck. Next day we registered our complaint with prop mgmt Counts Resort 16 miles away. The lady asked we email pics (we have plenty!) and said her boss would call us… he never has! Kitchen wall ac intake vent is bashed in. Molding and doors scratched and scuffed. We swept up crumbs/dirt off the tile floor. Dishwasher filthy and won’t clean. Plates, silverware and pots/pans in cabinets felt greasy. Dining room light broken. Stairs and hallway carpet stained and dirty. None of the windows had been cleaned. Master bedroom: Door had a bad squeak. Stained carpet not vacuumed. Bedspread torn. Only 2 small lamps in the room. Loose headboard bang the wall each time you move. Balcony door missing its handle, and we had to open it by pushing the glass at the edge. We used duct tape to cover the hole where the handle used to be in order to keep outside air out. Screen door torn. Bathroom filthy, hair and dirt everywhere. 2 bulbs out over sink. Guest bath: Just like the master bath, it had not been cleaned. Neither the toilet seat nor the user can stay upright because of interference by the toilet tank. TP holder has yellow glue around wall mount. Guest bedroom: Only 2 small lamps and one has a broken switch. Both mattresses terrible. Dirty window, stained carpet. Closet door heavily scuffed. Living room: Heavily stained carpet and furniture. We covered the couches with towels and shuddered each time our 4 year old granddaughter played on the floor. Balcony screen off its hinges and torn/ripped. Round vase lamp has damaged shade; vase was glued at some point. Laundry room / half bath door can’t open fully with toilet seat down Just really gross. This unit should not be rented out until brought up to snuff. Such a shame that our stay at this nice resort was ruined by the poor accommodations. Read reviews! We suggest booking rooms directly with large properties if possible. You'll save on 3rd party fees and perhaps they'll be available to provide an alternate unit if you fall on one as bad as we had!

Would not choose this condo again.

The stay was great, but the condo was not listed as a two-story condo. We had a 21-month old and of course he wanted to climb the stairs. We had to go out and buy a gait to keep him from going up and down the stairs. The electrical system needs some work. Several outlets did not work, they were loose from the wall or only one part of the outlet worked. The light over the dining table did not work. I would only say that the only part of this condo that was renovated was the hallway bath upstairs. Also, there was no cabinet to put the groceries in. We had to put all dry goods on the top of the cabinet or bar. The ginger jar lamp shade on the dresser in BR #2 was so old the inside of it cracked when you touched it. There was a broken off light bulb left in the socket. I had to get tweezers to remove it from the socket. There were several places of damaged Sheetrock in the condo also and the door had a large damaged place in it upon arrival. We were somewhat skeptical of the electric system safety and how sturdy the entry door was.
