A private Nirvana

My wife and I needed a week just to unwind and this looked like the ticket. Check-in and checkout was seamless. The single bedroom condo was very clean as were the bedding and linens. The location at the end of The Pools is very private. You have your own beach with snorkeling right out the back door and we made good use of the small pool under the lanai. A nice little bar and restaurant, the Kaibo is 1 block away and if you want to cook Chisholm's grocery is a 10-minute drive.We could not have asked for a better experience. Will definitely recommend to friends and family if they want a very private, quiet, couples getaway.

Beautiful quiet condo on the beach

This is a beautiful quiet condo with it's own private pool. If you are looking for busy night life this would not be the condo for you, if you are like us and want a quiet peaceful vacation this is your type of vacation.I would suggest paying tje extra to heat the pool. It is bigger that it looks in the pictures we thougjly emjoyed our time on the popl

Enjoyed the Caymans, but Vrbo fell short of expectations

We were excited to travel to Grand Cayman! The easy access and private pool were great! It was a quiet part of Grand Cayman and we loved our beach. Unfortunately there were some things that made our Vrbo stay not 100%. Including quite a lot of “clean” dishes that had to be re-washed when used due to old food/stains on them, only 1 washcloth in the entire place (there were 2 of us staying), only 1 cereal sized bowl in the whole kitchen, dull knives, difficulty moving the kayaks to the water (as they weighed over 200lb), and on our last night there was a water main leak, leaving us with no water for hours. Overall, it was a 3.5/5 stay!

Super clean, provided everything, and in a great location!

My husband and I love vacation rentals, and I have to say this is the cleanest one we've ever stayed in! The managers clearly put a lot of care into making sure the unit is ready to be a second home, making our 5-night stay very comfortable. The location was perfect for us—away from the touristy areas, yet super accessible to fun spots. We kayaked from our "backyard" to Starfish Point and the floating Pirate Grill Bar, where we relaxed in the soft, sandy water while enjoying freshly made food. Kaibo Beach Restaurant is next door, and it's good for a drink but not much else. We did eat there, but it's too expensive to justify a return visit. The service was friendly and the food was fine, but not worth the high prices. Instead, go there for a drink, put your feet in the sand, and enjoy the view. For dining, visit the Czech Inn about 30 minutes away—our favorite spot. Also, check out 1981 Brewery! Tip: When you leave the airport, stop by Foster's at Camana Bay for groceries before heading to the North Side where Cayman Kai is located. Next door to Foster's is Blackbeards, where you can pick up beer, wine, and liquor. For additional items, there's a small store called Chisholms with limited options—good in a pinch. Enjoy The Pools!

Starfish Point Paradise

Staying at The Pools #1 was absolutely heavenly! We loved the laid back north side location. The beachfront bay is shallow with lot of seagrass but we brought water shoes and waded in the super warm waters with beautiful starfish. We rented snorkel gear from Red Sail at Rum Point. Snorkeling the area to the right of the Rum Point pier, we saw a lot of fish and sea turtles! Kaibo Yacht Club was great for catching the Cayman Ferry to Camana Bay and getting to Stingray City with White Sand Sports, that was the best experience ever! The kitchen was nicely equipped for making all our meals. We were pleased with the selection of food and drinks at Chisolms grocery store nearby. We had meals on the patio and swam in the lovely pool every day. We enjoyed the kayaks for a trip around the Kaibo bay. The king sized bed was comfy, the unit was stocked with an abundance of linens and beach towels. We wished the managers had provided a binder or folder of unit + local information but we got by preparing ahead of the trip and using the internet. We had a wonderful experience staying at The Pools, thank you for having us!

Awesome stay!

Quiet side of the island. We loved the location and enjoyed our walks to get morning coffee and to starfish point. A quick drive to rum point for a relaxing day on the beach. The pool and condo was awesome. Just what we were looking for. We saw lots of starfish and fish on the dock right outside the condo. Thank you for sharing your lovely place with us!

3 Nights of Relaxation

We stayed for 3 nights prior to our flight to Little Cayman. Everything was great. Comfy bed, warm private pool in a screened in porch which we used every night. Kitchen is fully equipped but we chose to eat out at Kaibo just a short walk away on our first night, Tukkas on our 2nd and Over the Edge on our 3rd for breakfast and dinner. Rented a mustang convertible from Marshall’s for fun touring. Wish we could have returned for a week after Little Cayman but it was booked. Quiet neighbourhood, beachfront and enjoyed watching the boats go by. Hope to return.

Great location away from Cruise Crowds

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay; the home is very clean, quiet, comfortable, attractive, and very nicely appointed. The location is perfect for anyone hoping to enjoy the most tranquil and unspoiled area of Grand Cayman. Our only minor disappointment is that we were unable to enjoy the private pool because it is so well shaded from the sun that it never warmed up enough to get in. There were no notes/instructions in the house about a pool heater; if there is one, having that information along with other notes left for tenants would be a good addition.

Needs updating

We arrived shortly after 3:00 on the first day of our rental. The key wasn’t in the lockbox, and the door was locked. I started to phone the property managers when my husband decided to ring the bell. An HVAC worker was inside working on the AC. He said he was told we were not checking in until the following day. There was zero communication from the property manager that someone would be in the unit. Obviously we want the AC to be functioning, but would have appreciated a heads up that the unit wasn’t ready. He was there approximately an hour. His boss called us to say he was going to call the property managers to have housekeeping come back to finish cleaning the unit. Two housekeepers arrived at different times to finish cleaning (putting the bedroom back together, drop off toilet paper and paper towels) after he left. The floors were not clean and didn’t look like they had been mopped thoroughly in awhile. The table on the patio only has three chairs - two of which are cracked/broken and the third one is close to being broken, too, as there is a crack where the seat of the chair connects to the frame. If the unit is intended to sleep four, then just know there aren’t four chairs for the table’s height that you will be able to sit around. And the counter in the kitchen only has three stools. The unit has potential, but needs a refresh from the linens, to furniture to appliances (toaster didn’t have a handle and floor fan in bedroom was broken).

Amazing Stay

The Pools #1 is amazing. We enjoyed the pool and the beach area. Very Private. The kitchen is stocked and the bed is comfy. The beach chairs were a huge plus. We saw Star Fish right out front. "Over the Edge" is a great near by restaurant. This place does not disappoint. We can't wait to come back!
