Bienvenido a On The Bay Condo, ubicado en el borde del océano en Old Man Bay, Grand Cayman Island. Este es un complejo verdaderamente privado y tranquilo, con una hermosa playa de arena blanca, una cala privada para nadar, una piscina y, por supuesto, el magnífico agua azul turquesa del Caribe, todo para su comodidad.

Tan impecable como es la ubicación, este condominio está a solo 30 minutos del aeropuerto internacional Owen Roberts en George Town, y a solo minutos de varios restaurantes, deportes acuáticos, snorkel, buceo y viajes en velero.

Este condominio de dos dormitorios y dos baños tiene capacidad para seis personas y está totalmente equipado para que su estadía sea lo más agradable posible. Como en el resto de la isla, un coche de alquiler es imprescindible, pero no hay que preocuparse por el estacionamiento. Una vez que estés aquí, no querrás desviarte demasiado de todos modos. Así que ven y sé parte de la verdadera experiencia de Caimán.

Yup this is the place!

Three of us stayed 2 weeks at 'On the Bay' we really liked the location the east and north sides of the island are much more relaxed than the west end (George Town). This unit is as advertised, we were very confortable in this well appointed unit. We loved the terrace/balcony with the view of the grounds and the ocean. The unit was clean and the grounds are well maintained. As mentionned in other reviews there are a couple of , not the fanciest, but really good restaurants within walking distance: The Caboosse and Island Bites. The Crystal Caves are also within walking distance of the condo. For the rest you will need a car to get around. If and when we return to Grand Cayman we will definetly want to come back here!

Wonderful getaway on oldman bay

A very nice and clean place to stay. The view was wonderful every morning with the sunrise. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook up a meal. The beds were comfortable and the furniture was very nice. It’s a very quiet side of the island but that is nice for a getaway. Restaurants were quite expensive but in this inflation economy +25% add on for the American dollar we decided to stay in and cook our own. All in all, we hope to be back again.

Gorgerous North Side Condo

Beautiful condo (better than the pictures) in a small, private complex on a very quiet part of the island. Ernie and Virgina were wonderful to work with and went the extra mile to make our first trip to the island very memorable. The only negative was the shore was very rocky except for the man-made beach at lagoon and we went had go to Rum Point when we wanted to just hang out on the the beach. Sturdy footware is a must to protect against the sea urchins in the rocks when entering/exiting the water while snorkeling.

A Beautiful Location

This property was one of the top 10 places we have vacationed. It was a well designed two bedroom unit in a beautiful location and was equipped with just about everything you would need. The grounds were cleaned daily, the ocean colors were vibrant and the unit was in a perfect spot on the second floor. Our large private balcony overlooked the pool with the ocean in the background. There were only two or three other families there during our visit and it was very quiet. I don't think you could find a more peaceful place to stay. The daytime temps were in the high 80's and nighttime temps were in the mid 70's. The pool was heated and very comfortable. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic apartment in a lovely complex for a relaxing visit!

We had a wonderful time staying in this apartment in Old Man Bay. Loved the free parking and proximity to attractions like the crystal caves and the botanical gardens without the madness of being close to the popular tourist resorts. The property was super clean, well stocked, and perfect for our family of four. The pool was clean and warm and very fun, and the view from the balcony stunning! We found many restaurants nearby and a grocery close to stock up on food to cook and eat in the home. Plenty of towels and the laundry made it easy to feel the comforts of home, and the brochures inside were helpful for ideas for activities and places to eat nearby. Loved the master shower, and having two full bathrooms was very convenient! The property was quiet and clean and perfect for our family vacation. Super fast and reliable wifi for the kids on their devices rounded out a great travel experience!

Beautiful property, great amenities, and the view!

My husband and I spent a week here in January 2024. The condo is extremely spacious. Two bedrooms [one king, one with twin beds], with a huge master bath and additional full bath, walk in closet, balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean, and all the usual amenities. The property has its own lagoon - breakwater letting ocean water spill into a good-sized swimming area with a sand beach. No waves, but clear water and a clean shore. Grounds are very well kept. the pool is heated and also well maintained. Very close to decent local restaurants and a short drive to Rum Point, which has a beach with chairs as well as two restaurants, and Kaibo Beach - similar setup, excellent food, and a Tuesday night barbecue with live music and dancing in the sand. Overall we would stay here again.

The ultimate peace and solitude

The condo is in a small complex of 12 units. The complex is very well maintained, primarily due to the efforts of one of the owners who lives there 6 months of the year. The pool is heated at a constant 89 degrees Fahrenheit. There was always more than ough chaise lounges available. The unit we stayed in on the second floor has an excellent view of the ocean and pool. The unit was very clean and the owner was very responsive to any questions we had. There were a couple of non working ceiling fans and and missing drawer pulls that would have to be fixed after we left. Renters should be aware that the swimming lagoon shown in most pictures of the complex is currently having issues with sargasm( seaweed) like a lot of other areas in the Caribbean and was not swimmable during our stay. However, one of the best beaches on the island at Rum point is only 10 minutes away The condo is on the quiet part of the island but is within an easy 30-45 minute drive of any part of the island and within 30 minutes of the airport.

Can't wait to go back

We spent a little over a week in this apartment in Old Man Bay and we had a fabulous time. It's a great set up for small children (we have a 6 year old with a physical disability and it was perfect) and the beachfront location is awesome. We were there over easter week and the beach was nearly deserted whereas every other beach on the island was packed. I cook a lot and the kitchen was well stocked and ideal for cooking three meals a day. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was impeccably clean. The washer dryer was super convenient, as was the cable TV. The view from the balcony was really wonderful. We liked the location - not touristy but easy to drive to Morritt's and Rum Point. We also went to the botanic gardens which are amazing. I recommend Hurley's grocery store over Foster's especially for meat, fish and produce. Definitely bring water shoes because there is a lot of coral on the shore. The snorkelling right in the lagoon was pretty impressive and perfect for our 7 year old to snorkel on his own. The lagoon is also great for swimming laps and the roads out of the apartment are safe for running for a woman alone. Ernie (the owner) was very responsive and helpful. We almost never go to the same location twice on vacation, and we are already planning to return . Cayman is fabulous and this apartment is the perfect getaway. We are all in withdrawal!

A week in paradise

We had an excellent stay here at On the Bay. The combination of the pool and beach are unmatched and it’s hard to beat the view from the balcony. We appreciated the hard work from the landscapers to keep the beach looking beautiful. The condo was stocked with the basic necessities and there are groceries stores nearby for other needs. We really enjoyed Tukka and Over the Edge for dinner. Close to great snorkeling while being far enough from the hustle and bustle of the cruise ships to make it feel like you truly have your own slice of paradise. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Stay!

What a perfect condo and wonderful stay! The location was quiet, the view was beautiful, and the condo was exactly as expected and portrayed online. We didn’t need to purchase a thing the condo is well equipped - check in and check out where a breeze! Communication was also excellent. Not one suggestion other than to allow lots of time if you’re heading into Georgetown during morning or evening rush, but that would be the only heads up! Love the second floor location with a balcony right at the ocean. Lots of great restaurants in the area to choose from.

The Apartment is stunning, clean and has everything, the location is great, the pool is warm and wonderful and we had the best time and did not want to leave. Also we run into some self made snag in the first day and the owner was super responsive and nice. I would definitely recommend to stay in the apartment and we would love to rent there again.

Great Stay Old Man Bay

This was our second time in this condo and we enjoyed it. Not only the condo itself but we really like the north side of the island. Not as busy, the private beach and cove are great and the local people are so friendly. We never felt unsafe and had great conversations with some of the locals. Our favorite spots were Island Bites, best malts ever; and Italian Kitchen has the best pizza I've ever tasted!! The condo was clean and comfortable for our 12 day stay. Ernie was very responsive to all our questions before and during. Thanks for a great stay! Hope to be back someday.

Enjoyable Stay

The Old Man Bay location is invitingly quiet, but the various beach activities of Rum Point are within an easy drive. Easy access to restaurants/eateries: Over-the-Edge, Rum Point Restaurant, Run Point “walk-ups”, Caboose, & the nearby “taco” truck. Well-appointed condo with mask, fins, snorkel, beach towels. Condo is in excellent condition. Friendly grounds crew. Barbecue units are available, although we did not use. We enjoyed the well-kept grounds, sitting by the pool & on the beach.

Beautiful, picturesque retreat!

Had a great time staying in Old Man Bay. It is away from the noise & 'tourist traps' of George Town. The view was spectacular, great protected swimming area & beautiful beach. Our condo was neat & clean - had everything you would need for a temporary stay. You will have a bit of a longer drive, but this was our favorite place we've stayed on the island thus far.

Another day in Paradise...

Just got back from a week in Grand Cayman; our family of four had a wonderful time. Ernie & Virginia's place is beautiful and has all the amenities you need. It was great with two teenagers to have their own room, much better than staying in a hotel. The kids' were able to snorkel in the lagoon and enjoyed that. It was rare that anyone else with at the pool with us. We were in close proximity to many restaurants, Tukka was our favorite. My husband also really like Czech Inn! We were close to Rum Point and took a boat ride to Stingray City and snorkeling. We had planned on doing a sunset cruise, but unfortunately the day we planned was not a great weather day. We were glad we hadn't booked the cruise prior to that day because I don't believe you get your money back if you cancel, they just give you another day. All in all we had a great time!

Great location in well equipped condo

This condo was located in an ideal location on Grand Cayman if you are looking for solitude, but not too far from everything. 10-minutes to Run Point, 15-minutes to the East End and 30-minuets to Georgetown/Airport. Lots of beach towels, a couple chairs and a fully equipped kitchen made his the perfect rental for us.

Everything You Could Want or Need

Just got back from a week at Old Man Bay condo #206 - we had a fantastic trip, packing a lot of activities and beach time into our days. First off, the owners, Ernie and Virginia, have created an amazing oasis in their beachside home, filling it with everything a vacationer could want or need. The pictures really don't do the home justice - it was spacious, clean, and comfortable with great beachy decor. Secondly, the location was perfect. You are away from the crowds and traffic and close to great beaches and activities. Must dos close by: Stingray City (boats leave from Rum Point), Bioluminescent Bay kayaking (at night from Rum Point), and the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park are 5-15 minutes away. Not too far: Pedro St James Castle (ask for Stacy Eden Hurlston as your guide - he is descended from the original owners of this oldest home on GC). The beaches nearby were great - if you like beachcombing, this is a fantastic place to visit - we found sea fans, sea beans, sea glass (even some marbles!), urchin tests, sponges, coral (SO much!), and shells. Snorkeling is good, too. (We don't dive but hear it is amazing off GC.) Restaurants are great on the island - we had a car for the week so we were able to check out things near and far. We LOVED Kaibo at Rum Point, but also Tukka in East End (go feed the frigate birds at 5 each afternoon), Eagle Rays (sister restaurant to Tukka), Over the Edge (get the coconut shrimp) just 2 minutes from the condo, Macabuca at the Cracked Conch in West Bay for a sunset, Calypso Grill at Morgan Harbour in West Bay, and Sunshine Grill in the Seven Mile Beach area. Best of all was coming back each day to this fabulous home. Thank you, Ernie and Virginia for your hospitality. We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to come back!

Great place, with everything needed for a good stay

We stayed in this condo in August . The apartment layout is perfect for family with 2 kids or even 2 families - 2 separate bathrooms make it easier. This apartment has everything needed for perfect stay, owners did really a great job to provide all necessary stuff . I rented many condos and houses in Cayman , and this one is the best out of all of them. Building located in quiet part of the island , it has elevator. There is pool in the complex, and the natural pool , protected by coral reef. On North site is really hard to find any place with good water entry, thus, this natural pool is really big plus . Many Thanks to Ernie and Virginia for very good accommodation you provided!!

We are a happily married couple (1983) and live in southern New Jersey near Philadelphia. We met in college (Villanova) a long time ago!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We were fortunate enough to travel to Cayman once per year for business reasons, and quickly realized how much we liked the Caymanian people. We were comfortable anywhere we went on the island. So, we decided to look for our own place in 2006, and found an out-of-the-way gem in On The Bay. It is built much nicer than any of the Seven Mile Beach resorts we looked at...at least the ones we could afford!

We also preferred being away from the crowds.
