We sat outside every day and had our lunch and just listened to the waves and enjoyed the cool ocean breeze. 10 out of 10 recommended!!!

Family vacation

This spacious house has everything you need. We enjoyed a memorable time together in the open living/dining/kitchen floor of the house and yet each had their own space on the other floors. We had to drive down the hill to the beach trail only because we weren’t sure if we could make it back up the hill after doing the trail. It’s easy enough for younger stronger hikers probably.

Enjoyed all the amenities, beautiful view, location to beach Lovely furniture and lots of it… Would have liked food wrapping supplies. Aluminum foil or plastic bags. Saran Wrap. Seamless check in and check out. All in all we had a Fabulous time..

Stay for the view and the space

This large home is all about the views and the ability to spread out with nice space and high ceilings. Super clean with comfortable beds. If you are a light sleeper, the nightly hot tub recharge at 11:10pm will wake you, along with the water pipes noise from the drip system that comes from the laundry room /shared wall with primary bedroom. LR area has super comfortable and newer couches. The other furnishings and outdoor furniture are older and could use some attention and they could ditch all the personalized decor that takes up table space. You can hear the waves at night, 2 blocks to the ocean. Super location for hikes at Fiscalini.

Reviewer Comments: Beautiful house with amazing views from living room,decks,hot tub and 2 bedrooms.Great neighborhood within walking distance to beach and preserve.Bedrooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. Tile in master shower is very slippery, so use caution. There were no operating instructions for the fireplace, which was very disappointing. Driveway and garage are not suitable for larger SUVs or low ground clearance vehicles and street parking is not permitted. The dining room table could use a good scrub around the edges where people rest their arms.

Favorite rental by far!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family regularly rents homes, and this home is one of my favorites. We stayed here over Christmas. We spent our entire stay sitting on the couch enjoying the view of the ocean. My ten year old did not complain once that he was bored either. The beds were extremely comfortable and the house was very clean. We loved the living room because it was so big and open. We read some reviews about the driveway and we didn't understand why one would complain about a steep driveway. Yes, the driveway is short and steep. The downfall with the driveway is if you don't backup at an angle, your backend with scrape the street. You will see many deer roaming the neighborhood. The neighbors were very friendly as well. We will be booking this house again. I highly recommend this house for a family vacation.

Nice stay but a few issues..

Reviewer Comments: We had a good stay but there are a couple of items others should be aware of: 1) Check-in/Check-out process is a bit old school and clunky (you have to go to the rental agency's storefront in Cambria to get keys, sign paperwork, and return keys), 2) There was a fair amount of bird and bat or rodent feces covering the upper back deck which made being out there a bit unpleasant and a no go for our 7 month old. We liked the house, views, and location overall though.

It was clean, well appointed, had fantastic views out of every window, and was close to Fiscalini Preserve and town. We cooked in the fully furnished kitchen and watched movies with plenty of seating for everyone. We also enjoyed the hot tub on the deck overlooking the scenic coastline. We saw many deer and even a pod of whales swimming and jumping in the ocean! Our only complaint was that the neighbors are doing construction and the noise woke us early. We’ve never had that problem on prior stays here.

Terrific Value

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We go to Cambria several times a year for the past 15 years. We always stay down closer to the ocean but this time wanted to try up the hill a bit for a more expansive view. We definitely got the view! We also loved being so close to multiple access points to Fiscalini Ranch, really enjoyed that. Also being up further from the water you see a lot more wildlife. Positives: lots of towels avble, clean, unlike some reviews we found the carpet to be clean, great views, hot tub, good kitchen. For us personally the "negatives" may not matter to some..general upkeep with the house as in cobwebs outside,random expired spices, lack of throw blankets to cuddle up with, the fireplace was basically non-existent which for us is extremely important, placemats & napkins would be nice, however...we also typically rent places that are more expensive so you get more of those type of amenities. Would we rent this particular house again? Probably not but we absolutely would rent from Scenic Coast!

We had 6 people and there was plenty of room. The house was a little outdated... the carpet was worn and stained. The kitchen could have been more modern (stove and oven were small for the size of house). There seemed to not be enough linens (we couldn’t find the bedsheets for the sofa bed), and towels were just enough for everyone with no extras. It was nice to have the 2 car garage but it was a little difficult to maneuver out of driveway b/c it was short. The agency was very organized, responsive and easy to secure the rental.

Simply Wow!

Reviewer Comments: We rented this home for a girls weekend getaway and although we are accustom to renting homes on our vacations we didn't have high expectations for this particular home or location. It was rented to solve the problem that we needed a place to stay. It was beyond our expectations! The home is incredible large and offers quiet corners for everyone or large space for gathering together. We loved the large windows with the exceptional view and the deck was a quiet retreat in the morning or late evening. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet and plenty of options for beach access and there is even a really nice 1 mile trail that takes you out on the bluff nearby. The bedrooms are large, comfortable, and the mattresses are great. In a vacation property you want good beds, great location, and plenty of room...this house had all of that. My only "complaint" is the driveway and parking. Unfortunately the garage is challenging to access and the narrow driveway makes it hard to maneuver large SUV style vehicles. I would recommend having more than 1-2 cars.

Yosemite house

We enjoyed our stay here. Check out was a little early at 10:00 and we couldn't control the thermostat inside the house, but otherwise a nice vacation house. Lots of animals including wild turkey and deer right on the property! Clean hot tub and fire pit was fun.

Cambria Getaway

We normally stay in Cambria on the other side of the preserve. This is an older, more rugged area. Very hilly with a wide array of quality of homes. This home has wonderful views. The common area is the strength of this rental. Pictures and descriptions on the website were appropriate. Could use new carpet. Also, some mold in the lower levels caused some of our allergies to rebel. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and found the rental quite livable.

Dream Catcher May 2022

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view was spectacular. The house accommodated 5 people with room to spare. It was very clean. The property management company was extremely accommodating. The spa was well-maintained. I would recommend a bin for recycling materials in the kitchen. The refrigerator has an inside leak from the top onto the first glass shelf which creates a frozen puddle. There is also a leak from the washing machine and there is some rust there as well on the ground.
