The neighborhood is safe and family-friendly with plenty to do on your doorstep. The apartment is located next to Entença metro stop, right by Eixample district, the city centre of Barcelona.

The Space:
Welcome to this 70 m2 spacious apartment in a building located just a few steps from Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes. Barcelona’s iconic Eixample is a must-see for art and culture enthusiasts, since it houses some of the city’s most famous landmarks and museums.

This apartment has a comfortable living room with a dining table, opened to a bright balcony, ideal for sunny days in Barcelona!

The apartment can accommodate up to 5 people and is divided into two bedrooms:
- Bedroom 1: 1 Double bed
- Bedroom 2: 2 Individual beds
- Living room: 1 Double sofa-bed

The Neighborhood:
The Esquerra de l’Eixample, or Left of Extension in Catalan, is separated into two sections: old and modern, which is where Entença is located. The style of Old Left Eixample is largely Neo-Romanesque, and visitors are encouraged to take a stroll through the neighborhood to observe the wonderful architecture. The Universitat de Barcelona and the Plaça de la Universitat, both of which are only a few minutes’ walk from the flat, are good instances of this. They will also come across The Mercat de Sant Antoni, the Ninot, where they may purchase some goods. New Left Eixample was built in the 1930s and is more of a Monderisme style. Close by are the Casa Batlló, the Escola Industrial, the Modelo Prison, and the Escorxador Slaughterhouses. These structures, on the other hand, were built before the neighborhood was even conceived.

Getting Around:
The closest metro station is Rocafort (Line 1).
The quickest way to go to the airport would be taking the bus "Aerobus" at Plaça España. The cost is around 4.5€

Other Things to Note:
*** TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS ***

- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small fee of 6.25€ per guest (over 17 years old) per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. This cost IS NOT included on your reservation.

- National and International police demand that each guest, prior to their visit to Barcelona, would send information of their IDs or passports. This is mandatory, as it is stated in Catalan Law, and all legal touristic establishments are required to do so.

- This apartment uses a self-checkin system via the Chekin platform that will allow you to register all guests on the reservation
and pay the mandatory tourist taxes before your arrival.

*** CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT ***

Check-in time is at 17:00 hrs
Check-out is at 11:00 am (non-agreed late check-outs will incur on a 100€ charge per hour late)

*** HOUSE RULES ***

1. Parties, drugs, loud noise or any kind of disturbance towards the neighbors are completely forbidden, with a penalty of 400€ and possible eviction
2. Please observe quiet time between 10pm - 9am.
3. Respect your neighbors and be respectful in common areas (hallways, entrance, elevator, stairs).
4. Loss of keys will have a 100€ charge per key lost.
5. Smoking on interior areas will have a charge of 100€ + all cleaning fees involved.
6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities.
7. Please leave the apartment in a respectable condition.

Not following those rules will incur on a monetary sanction and the full responsibility of any fines from the local administration or authorities.

Barcelona bounty

Our place was delightfully located near buses and metro stations. Walking around town was easy. The place is self was comfortable. We are grateful for the washing machine and fans.

Terrific apartment with spotty WiFi and difficult entry door.

Entry to the building requires an app accessed with a data plan or wifi. THERE IS NO WAY TO ENTER THE BUILDING WITHOUT USING THE APP. To enter the apartment itself there is a code that can be used without the app. The app worked when we first entered the building and apartment but when we left the apartment to buy groceries, the app did not work when we tried to get back in. There is an emergency number but you need phone service to call and it is not available using WhatsApp. I do not travel with phone service as my US provider charges $12/day for phone service. I did have to resort to turning on my phone (being billed $12) to call the emergency number at about 11:30 at night when we were locked out with a non-functioning app. Someone came and used a master code to let us in. I showed him the non-functional app and he said "that's not possible", yet when I opened the app, all I got was a blank screen. That was not the end of our issues with entry to the apartment. The door handle has to be revolved several times to unlock the apartment door. Even with the app functioning, the handle was not always responsive and we had to use the app several times to get the door to open. During business hours I could text with the manager and get help with the door but it was very frustrating not being sure that we could enter the apartment every time we went out. The other issue we had was that the wifi was spotty. It would come and go and we could not depend on it.
