Summary:

CURATED PROPERTY PRESENTS: Situated on a quiet street above a traditional London Tailor's, this 3-bedroom duplex flat is a quiet oasis away from the hustle and bustle of London. The apartment has fast wifi and is renovated to a modern standard with a lot of the period features of this Victorian building restored. Fitzrovia is an ideal place for travellers on business or tourists looking to explore all London has to offer. It is ideally located close to Goodge Street tube station.



The Space:

This contemporary duplex occupies the second and third floors of this restored Victorian terraced building with a communal front door entrance. As you walk through the door you will be welcomed by an inviting open-plan living room and kitchen. The living area has a corner sofa, which doubles as a very comfortable bed with a clever coffee table in front that transforms to provide dining table for 8. Plenty of light floods this room and it makes for a useful conference room for business meetings or just family get together's. The corner kitchen has solid granite surfaces with intelligently designed units and comes fully equipped, suitable for cooking large meals. There is a smart TV mounted on the wall.



On the same floor there is a double bedroom, that has a large sash window looking south away from the road with a view over the backs of the surrounding houses. The bedroom is equipped with a comfortable double bed and ample storage for clothes. The bedroom also features a flat screen TV.



Up one floor, we have the double master bedroom with views north over quiet Windmill street and plenty of morning light and more storage. This room benefits from a large and quiet reading corner and again a wall-mounted TV. The third bedroom is above the first, so has same views and similar set-up, but also has an office space with a desk for working at with nice views south east. TV also included, and ample storage again. On this floor there is a WC, as well as the second bathroom with shower, bath and toilet.



As you can see from the photos the large sash windows flood the apartment and each of its rooms with plenty of natural light. The apartment has comfortable, soft carpets throughout and has been decorated to a modern standard, with neutral light colours creating a bright and homely environment.

Guests will have sole access to the entirety of the property.



The Neighborhood:

Wedged between Bloomsbury, Soho, Covent Garden and Marylebone, Fitzrovia is a haven for foodies, art lovers and shoppers alike. You'll be rubbing shoulders with stylish local architects, gallerists and other artsy animals every evening from 6pm onwards, either sipping a cocktail in a glamorous bar or having a pint in one of the many historic and characterful local pubs. The weekends are a bit quieter when the local workers disperse, which is a good time to stroll up to Regent's Park, marvel the glories of the British Museum or head to the shops on Oxford Street.

The flat was as described and the location was great. Lots of great pubs and restaurants nearby and easy access to buses and the tube to get around London. The owner was also very helpful in letting us drop luggage early before check-in. Everything was perfect for a family stay in London.

Stay at 7 Windmill street

The photos online for this Duplex definitely appear to make the unit look nicer than it is. We had some concerns regarding the cleanliness of the duplex. Also, the doors to each room were extremely heavy and needed to be propped open with a chair or hard object, which made it difficult to navigate the tiny space in the duplex throughout our stay. The first couple of days during our stay in London the weather was very hot, and it was near impossible to sleep since the Duplex had no air condition and limited airflow even with the windows open. On a more positive note, the location of the Duplex is fabulous, and right on the border of SoHo and near Oxford street which was extremely convenient. The property management was also very responsive and helpful throughout all of our stay regarding all of our concerns, which isn’t always the case with. VRBO rentals. Overall the Duplex offered a good value for the money paid, solely based on its location. Just don’t expect any extra amenities, and beware of staying during summer months when it can be very hot.

Great for long stay

Stayed in the apartment for two months and it was great, lots of space and in a great neighborhood where it was super easy to walk to a variety of restaurants and other things to do in central London. The host was super responsive and informative.

Great spot

This was a wonderful option for our family with two teens. It was in a great, lively neighborhood with lots of food options and easy access to the subway. Clean, furnished with Ikea-like things, it had everything we needed.
