Villa Grandview is located above the city of Funchal with breath-taking views. A short walk from the villa is a bakery serving fresh bread and pastries, whilst there are a handful of restaurants and a supermarket just a short drive away. A 5 minute drive from the villa takes you to the wonderful Monte Palace botanical gardens. Nearby to this is the famous 'Monte Sledge', an exhilarating downhill ride through the streets of Funchal on a wicker toboggan, ending just a short stroll from Villa Grandview it's a fun and exciting activity. Adjacent to this is the cable car, which glides over the terracotta roofs below and straight into the heart of the Old Town.
