Happy days at Grande Bay

The location at Grande Bay never disappoints. Great views and a short stroll to all the shops, restaurants and ferry. The unit had everything could you need for vacation living. We loved the beach chairs!

This place was fantastic, everything we needed was in our unit !

Great place , perfect location close to everything. So easy to get to the beaches by taxi . Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants!! Beautiful place !!! Loved it !!!!

Everything you need is at the condo

We didn’t need to bring a thing they had it all: coolers, towels, sunscreen, fins and mask, etc. great time and great location walking distance to all the shops and dining!

Great stay at Grande Bay

The property at Grande Bay was excellent. The location is wonderful and the condo we stayed in was clean, well furnished and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom is great, roomy and the shower is wonderful. The views from the balcony are beautiful, a great place to have morning coffee or an evening cocktail.

Lovely condo

We stay at grande bay regularly and this was a new unit for us. The upgraded kitchen and bathroom were pretty and modern. The covered patio with stone bar/overlook was pretty too. A great view from the 3rd floor.

Condo Directly Above Cruz Bay

This is a cute condo and was as advertised. The furniture has actually been upgraded to better living room and dining furniture. We were there for 13 nights. It served our needs very well.

Wonderful Trip!

What a great week! You cannot beat the location of this condo- in the heart of Cruz Bay and you can walk to numerous restaurants and shops. We rented a Jeep through the condo and it was great too. Super convenient to be able to pick up the car right outside your door. The condo was clean and well equipped. They had coolers and beach chairs available to use . Laurie was great to work with as well as the staff at the complex. We love St John and had a fantastic trip — thank you!!

A few days in paradise

Great property. Our stay was 3 nights. Had a great time and love Grande Bay. Property was just as described ! Perfect location. Side note...thought housekeeping would have come during our stay to refresh towels . Not sure if it was because we only stayed 3 nights but it would have been nice to know they weren’t coming. Also needed more beach towels . Overall a fantastic rental and would stay with them again!!

Thank you so Kathy, I am glad to that you enjoyed everything. These are privately owned condos as you know. We do not supply daily housekeeping unless a guest asks for it. There are plenty of extra towels and sheets as well as laundry detergent. You should have had 4 beach towels in a studio and 6 in the one bedrooms.,I am sorry if there were not enjoy and will certainly look into it. We look forward to having you back again here on St John. Great View and Convenience

Everything with this condo was very simple and convenient. We spend very little time indoors while vacationing so this was perfect. We traveled to beaches all day and walked to dinner every evening. There were several items to use at the beach, some assorted snorkeling gear and noodles. The only negative we experienced was the beach chairs at the condo. They were very worn and were hard to keep shut while walking out to the beach. You can however rent newer chairs from several locations.

Great Location in Cruz Bay!

I've been traveling to St. John for the past 10 years and always wanted to stay at Grande Bay - it did not disappoint. The location is fabulous right in town. Very clean, fully equipped kitchen and everything you need for the beach. Bonus that the unit had a jeep to rent with a garage parking space. The property manager, Craig was great to work with and very responsive if we had any questions or issues. The one thing that was not 'as advertised' is this unit stated sleeps 4, but is really for a couple only. There is a pull out sofa bed that we planned on using (two single friends traveling together), but couldn't due to being completely uncomfortable. The mattress was so thin and you could feel the metal springs. For my fellow sun worshippers, the pool is in the shade the majority of the day so not a useful amenity for me. Would still recommend staying there.

Great Location for our first trip to St Johns

Great property located right downtown yet somehow quiet and private. The terrace overlooking Cruz Bay became our breakfast spot and where we would read post outing. We did rent the Jeep and it was a great home base for our day trips to Coral Bay as well as the Northern Beaches. Solomon Bay Beach was a modest hike from downtown and a greta option if you don’t have a car. Laurie was easy to communicate with and the unit had everything we needed - washer/dryer, AC and strong internet. Close to mini market and all the great restaurants in town. Would recommend and come again.

Great Unit

Really liked this unit! Have stayed in several Grande Bay Units over the last five years, this was by far the best in terms of layout and the quality in how it was set up. Quality throughout, great furnishings, a massive DVD collection, nice appliances. Look forward to staying here again!

Loved our stay

We loved our stay! The host was very communicative beforehand. They picked us up from the car barge so it was easy to find. Super clean and the perfect location. We sat out on the balcony every night overlooking the bay. Very convenient to everything in town and a good jumping off point for seeing the rest of the island. They even had everything you need for the beach. Also provided good parking, we chose to bring our own rental. Would highly recommend!

Great Location, OK Unit

It's hard to beat Grande Bay if you want to partake of all that Cruz Bay has to offer. Literally, everything is at your fingertips from this location. PROS Location is great and this unit sits high enough from the road that there's very little street noise. Service with Crandall was exceptional. We took advantage of the rental jeep that is available with the unit, and had a breakdown after two days. Crandall provided a replacement vehicle immediately with no questions asked. Appliances were new and worked well. Great having a full-size washer and dryer. Unit was well-equipped with dishes, flatware, towels, beach chairs, coolers, etc. CONS There were some miscommunications with Crandall in the weeks leading up to our visit and while on island. Nothing major, just seemed a bit disorganized. Be prepared to climb! Even walking up the front drive is a chore, but hey, that's STJ! Some of the fixtures and furnishings are getting a bit dated and rough around the edges. All in all, we would stay in this unit again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone interested in staying in downtown Cruz Bay.

Long weekend getaway

Laurie was great to work with through the booking process and helping with provisioning the fridge for our stay. The location is close proximity to bars and restaurants. The view to wake up to is directly over Cruz Bay. The easy access to a washer/dryer was great and further shows up to pack even less for our next trip. We did not use any of the other facilities (gym/pool) as everyday was a beach day. The condo had everything you could ask for for beach activities and such- towels, chairs, rafts, coolers. I did see a set of snorkel gear but we usually travel with our own anyways. Would highly recommend staying here!

Excellent Vacation Experience

The condo was as advertised and perfect. The view was sublime and overlooked the beautiful harbor and Cruz Bay. It had everything we needed and was a great home base. Our rental contact was so friendly and helpful with all our needs. The property management were great in helping us rent a Jeep which allowed us to explore and enjoy our trip even more. We will definitely return to St. John and will look to stay at this property again!
