Annual Family getaway!

This house was perfect! The kitchen was well stocked and very large...great for gathering while cooking. It was perfect for our family. The property owner was amazing to work with! We will definitely will be staying here again!

Great house for multiple families! Great amenities!

The house was large enough for 3 families of 4! Loved the front deck, large kitchen, and living room! Kids loved the bunk room and pool table! Resort access was amazing- beach, playground, outdoor pool and lazy river, boat rentals. We will definitely be booking again!

Great Thanksgiving Stay

My family and my sister’s family got together at this property for Thanksgiving. It was spacious and allowed the kids to play and the grownups to relax in another room where we could talk and hang out. Everyone was comfortable, and the resort looked fun—though it was a bit too cold for us to fully explore this time.

Awesome Place

The place was great! The only issue we had was the dishwasher was unusable due to it not draining, but we made the best of it. The location was great, the golf cart was awesome and the resort/lake are fantastic! We would stay there again, no doubt!

Family Lake Vacation

This was an excellent property for our family vacation. It was large enough that our family of 11 each had their own space & we didn’t feel on top of each other. The home had everything we needed for a fun vacation. Plus the grandchildren had so much fun. It was hard to get them out of the pool & the beach area. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location and accommodations

We typically rent cabins at Table Rock each year for apple picking but decided to switch it up this year. Having everyone under one roof was great and the house has just about everything you need to make your stay great. We did have a substantial power outage but the property owner was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay again. Thank you

Mountain house

Nice clean home in a fun resort. Golf cart was handy and the kids loved riding in it. After a thunderstorm a large tree branch was hanging precariously so we notified owner. Within a few hours it was taken care of. Thanks Tim :) We

Family adventure

Mr. Tim the easiest host I have worked with. The lovely home was spot on to everything that was mentioned.The tinder interrupted our time at the pool each day. My granddaughters age from 1 to 10 were happy staying at the house. Between board games and just having the best time at the house, the girls didn’t mind not being able to swim.The girls and I did happened to met with Mother Nature. While out riding on a golf cart me met a momma bear and her children. I do believe the bears were as scared as the girls and myself. These little high pitched screams set off and the cub took off running to run up a tree.We definitely want to return our visit with Rumbling Bald Resort. We want to return to this same home as well.

Great family holiday visit

We booked the house for us and our adult children to have a place to gather for the holidays. House was really nice. Spacious and pretty much just as advertised. Weather was poor the whole time so we stayed indoors and there was plenty of room to be together but not annoy each other. A great time was had by all. My only knock is that the gas fireplace didn't work. Tim told us that before we went so that wasn't a surprise but this is the third house we've rented with gas fireplace as a specific request and the third time it didn't work when we got there. A minor issue for sure, just a personal irritation. Would definitely recommend the place. It would be really awesome in spring and summer.

Somewhat disappointed

There were several things that made this stay less than 5 star. Several of the bunk beds had broken support boards and we did not feel they were safe to use. The queen bed had a mattress that was extremely hard. There were not enough blankets for the cold weather. Fortunately I had brought some from home. The house was not well supplied. We had to go out and find paper towels, toilet paper and garbage bags. The WiFi was not working. We had to contact the owner multiple times before we finally got some assistance from the provider. The owner didn’t even know where the modem was located. We had a great time with all of the family together, but we were disappointed in the accommodations.

Fantastic House in Lake Lure/Rumbling Bald

This property was as "described" in its VRBO Description. It was plenty big enough for our group of 9. The kitchen was large enough for a larger group and the decks and patio were fantastic. We stayed 4 nights for a Family Reunion. Other family members stayed at smaller properties close by. This house was perfect for hosting BBQ and evening activities. The only complaint we had was that when we arrived, the key code did not work. We were told in the email that it was for the keypad on the Garage. We tried that as well as the main door but it didn't work for either. When we called the host "Tim" he did not answer and his VM was full. We managed to get in and Tim eventually replied. The only comment about the house itself was that the carpeting (especially downstairs) was quite stained. The house was otherwise very clean and comfortable. Another issue we had which is totally not a fault of the owners is that when we tried two days in a row (Sunday and Monday) to remove trash on the resort disposal area as directed, we were turned away because it was full. We managed to find a work around but the resort itself "failed here." We'd definitely rent this property again, however.

Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately with the resort being so busy in the summer sometimes the garbage does fill up which is frustrating. We have been planning for six months to change the carpeting but with Lowes being so busy and the House is rented all the time we have found it challenging to schedule an entire week to get it done. The materials were picked out a year ago and we are just trying to find a window to complete that work. Thank you

Perfect for Our Group

We are a group of 10-12 men ages 27-60 that gather every year for golf and a Fantasy Football Auction. We have been doing so since 2015. This ranks at or near the top of any property we have ever stayed at. The property has several updates. The bathrooms have good water pressure and were well stocked. The kitchen was also well stocked. We normally have to bring supplies, but everything we needed was provided. The beds and furniture were comfortable. The bunk beds were even comfortable for grown men, which is unusual. The Resort was amazing. Make sure you have the passes around your neck, and you have access to everything (outdoor pool, indoor pool, wellness center, tennis courts, and more). The owner was very easy to work with and has all the information you need in a binder on the kitchen counter (might need to be updated on some things). Overall very positive experience from the owner to the property. We would stay here again.

Vacation at Moose Lodge

The property was AMAZING! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The resort amenities were great. Our grandkids really loved the beach and the pools. We adults enjoyed the peaceful location. I would suggest that you include the fact that motorcycles are not allowed on the resort grounds in the listing for the property. While it was right at the security gate and was fine, having it parked a mile away from me was quite disconcerting at first. Overall this was a great experience and the property was everything it was portrayed to be.

The boys loved it

The guys annual golf was great, even if the weather did completely cooperate. They liked the house and were very comfortable. The only negative was the ice maker didn’t work, Management was great to deal and was very prompt with responses.

Our family purchased this house almost 10 years ago with the intention of using it as much as possible since we are from out of town. We realized early on how much we love sharing our house and resort with others. With so much to do in the surrounding areas, we still have not completely explored all of there is to do.

Nestled in the Rumbling Bald Resort we found our little vacation paradise. We love the area and the amenities of Rumbling Bald Resort. For years we had vacationed in the mountains with our extended families and eventually decided to buy a property to satisfy our needs. Wish we had done this earlier.
