Ma'alaea Surf, Unit G10 es una unidad urbana de dos pisos con techos abovedados. Ubicada en el segundo piso, esta unidad tiene una sensación muy abierta y ofrece a nuestros huéspedes total privacidad. Esta unidad tiene una gran terraza, impresionantes vistas al mar y vistas a la gran piscina y cancha de tejo. Las dos canchas de tenis recientemente renovadas están a solo unos pasos de la puerta trasera.

The It had a lot of extras that we enjoyed (boogie boards, sand chairs, pickleball set, snorkel equipment). I love the location, where you are a short drive to everything on the island and close to the ocean. The property is quiet and Sugar Beach is always practically deserted, compared to the very busy beaches on the west side of the island.

Perfect getaway

The Maʻalea Surf Resort is the perfect cross between a large resort and a house rental. Being right on the ocean was perfect so that you could experience the Ocean while also having access to the pool and your room. The kids loved being able to play and make friends as all the unit face the pools and other kids could be seen playing. The grounds were immaculate constantly maintained. There is an ABC store with in walking distance, or a short 5 minute drive into Kihei to go to the grocery stores.

Perfect place to stay for our family of 3. Super close to the beach, great central location in Kihei, and a great overall location as we had excursions all around Maui. Beautiful beach, super quiet condo complex. Would love to stay again!

Nice amenities like the many gas grills around the grounds. The only thing that would really make this location even better would be if the pool were heated, the water was pretty cold during our stay and the weather was quite windy so it made it challenging to use the pool.

January brings some Kona Storms so the water was brown the entire week & very little sand to walk the beach - had to go to the east side to enjoy the beach/ocean as we were advised to stay out of brown water. Condo was clean, grounds were beautiful and enjoyed the tennis courts and shuffleboard.Enjoyed the bakery/shaved ice/farmers market across the street. Also visited many sites and enjoyed meals at MonkeyPod, Paia Fish, Gazebo, SeaHouse,& Nalu's. Barbecued several dinners at condo. Need to bring spices and condiments for cooking. Enjoyed a perfect week with hardly any rain - just windy!

Wonderful Time!

Grounds were meticulously upkept, pools clean, and the beautiful sandy beach was just steps away. Appreciated the sand toys, beach chairs, and boogie board that were supplied in condo.We liked the fact that even though we were within driving distance to stores and restaurants, it wasn't an overly busy area. In fact, we often had the beach to ourselves! Bonus--a short stroll down the beach and there is a convenience store, shaved ice, and bakery.Minor complaints--there was a broom, but no dustpan. Pots and pans were old and odd sizes, making it slightly difficult to cook, as well as mismatched lids and containers to store food. The shower/foot wash on beach was either out of service or leaking.Overall, we had a wonderful time would and wholeheartedly recommend to anybody!

Returning to our favorite spot in Maui

We always enjoy the location - very well kept/clean, and the onsite staff are friendly and the property management staff is always amazing. Outside areas/common areas well cared for and tidy. This is our third stay in this unit which is lovely but the patio was quite dirty and the lounge chair pads were so filthy we couldn't use them. Kitchen utensils and cooking equipment (pots and pans) might need a few more items as it was very limited. The interior was clean and comfortable, however for a 10 day stay it would have been nice to get replacement of clean towels instead of having to do that ourselves in the laundry. Perhaps 7 days for a visit from housekeeping? The upstairs king bed is in need of replacement within the next year. As we spent most of our time in the outdoor space not a real inconvenience but just a few items of note. Looking forward to next years trip with the family!

Amazing stay!

Our stay was amazing! This property is truly a hidden gem and centrally located to everywhere we wanted to go. The beach is unlike any other we have experienced in Hawai’i with our two teen girls playing/ swimming daily and us thoroughly enjoying our morning walk beside the ocean. The pools are immaculate as is the property in general. The condo was clean, well-stocked with cooking supplies/utensils and other household essentials, and comfortable. The view from the lanai was truly incredible. Malea was responsive and friendly. She kept us updated on storm developments and property protection as well as good local restaurants. While we have always stayed at a different location when visiting Maui, we now realize the error of our ways and will only stay here during future visits!

Everything we needed this vacation to be!

This was a beautiful location for us to relax and enjoy Maui! The view was amazing, the grounds were just as advertised. The home was very comfortable and felt like home. We had 2 teens and all 4 of us had a great time. Quiet here, easy access to the whole island for our daily adventures. Loved it!

The location is perfect for us because it is away from the crowds but convenient to a local fruit market, convenience store, bakery, and Hawaiian shaved ice!!! This was our second stay, bringing three teenage grandkids. They also loved it! The managers are friendly and extremely helpful.

Our place was clean and updated appliances. Everything was close to our place like groceries and ABC store. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice unit, very clean and well maintained. It’s very relaxed and low key. Lots of older couples and families. It’s not a party scene which is nice. I would note that the master bedroom is upstairs in an open loft with very little privacy from the kitchen/living room/dining area. We had coffee every morning out on the deck and enjoyed the ocean view and took daily walks on the beach (which is just steps from the front door). This location is in a bay so the water was a bit murky, we choose to drive to some nearby beaches for swimming and boogie boarding. (Side note: There are some homeless camps a few resorts down in one direction and homeless people a few resorts down in the other direction.) It’s a short walk down the beach to the nearby bakery/coffee shop and shaved ice next to the ABC store. Both were really good!

Great place to stay with family on Sugar Beach

It was very clean with most items needed for the week. Went to the Maui Ocean Center with grands 7,9,11. They loved it and the new whale 3D movie. Drove road to Hana - kids were carsick- stopped at Garden of Eden to walk around. Never made it to the park - kids were done with it.Loved Mama's Fish House (need to make reservations about 6 months out) Did Pacific Whale boat trip from Ma'alaea dock - lots of whales to see! Enjoyed Nalu's So.Shore Grill in Kihei (serve meals all day), Down the Hatch (Lahaina), Coconut Fish (we did take out), Maui Brewing(Kihei)with nice outside seating, Sugar Beach Bakery - yummy pies, muffins/croissants and Leoda's (on road to Lahaina for pies/lunch (yummy too)Usually a 30 min. wait at Leoda's. Can't wait for us to all return so we can try the restaurants and places we missed by leaving early.

Always a great Thanksgiving family reunion spot

The construction noise drove us out of our unita few days early but we understand and appreciate upgrades to the rental units. We stayed up the beach at another condo and realize how lucky we are to have spent 30+ years coming back to Maalaea Surf!
