I have a large family—six kids (married) and fourteen grandchildren that I enjoy spending time with.

This home sits in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The property is away from train tracks but you still hear the train whistle, in the distance, which reminds you of days gone by when life was more laid back. The church, a block away, has chimes that play a hymn at the top of the hour. You can hear the hymn and sing/hum along while sitting on the patio with your cup of Joe. There are two parks (a train park for young children and a larger park with a splash pad), a church, bank, Mexican and Chinese restaurants, local bar, post office, all within walking distance. Cubby’s gas shop and Dollar General are local as well and are about one mile from the property. Also unique is that this town is considered a bedroom community meaning you have the convenience of being close to a large city while having the quaintness and quiet of a small community.

I purchased and remodeled this home to make it a warm, inviting place for families to relax and enjoy their get away. With an open floor plan in the kitchen, family room and sitting area, there is opportunity to enjoy each other's company while still having plenty of space. I love the fact that adults/kids can retreat to the lower level to enjoy time playing with toys, games or shooting pool, while others can interact on the upper level. Three bedrooms and three baths make it possible for three couples to stay and each have their own space. The outdoor patio is an extra area to enjoy breakfast or relax with a cup of coffee in the morning.
