Macon Memories @ Lake Gaston es una hermosa y lujosa casa frente al mar bien construida en una popular cala principal del lago que ofrece un gran espacio para vacaciones grandes o multifamiliares.

Amazing stay!! My family had an awesome time over the Thanksgiving holiday. The house was well stocked with everything you could possibly need plus more. Warmly decorated and very cozy. The host checked in and made sure we had everything needed. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Beautiful Home

Great place to stay with a beautiful view. Dock deck was the perfect space to hang out all day and enjoy the lake view.

This is a great place to stay. Best equipped kitchen of anywhere we have stayed at Lake Gaston. Home is just as described. House is very warm and inviting. Host kept in contact with us to ensure everything was okay. Patricia Warner

Family vacation

Beautiful, spacious home with a well appointed kitchen. Nice cove; paddle boards and kayaks were a lot of fun. Fire pit and corn hole also available.

Macon Memories, a Great Place to Stay

We stayed at Macon Memories for a week at the beginning of July. There were 10 of us between the ages of 10 and 80 years old. It was very clean, had a very well stocked kitchen, a comfortable living room, lots of games, and on a desirable area of the lake. Bill, our host, was immediately responsive to any questions or needs we had. Only slight problems I would mention - the internet often was slow, both because there were so many visitors on the Lake over the July 4th week and that internet is hard to get all over the Lake (we had trouble with it in a different house last year). Bill promised that by next year that problem would be fixed. There also is no bathroom near the "loft" bedroom. But, both the kids and the adults had an absolutely delightful time because there were so many activities. There were many steps down to the water, where the kids loved jumping off the upper deck of the dock and swimming. All of us played ping pong, pool, and several board games in the comfortable downstairs area. We rented a boat, behind which we skied and tubed, and a jet ski, both of which we enjoyed immensely. Getting the 4 cousins (between the ages of 10 and 17) together is always a treat since it only happens about twice a year and they get along well. The adults relaxed, read, and played with the children. All in all, we had a fun-filled vacation with 10 people!

Best on the lake

Olde Ferry Estates has been the best to date for our lake vacations, everything was as described, or better than advertised. Two families with infants, young adults, teenagers, and adults spent the week, and were not disappointed. Plenty of beds, bathrooms, and space to accommodate all. The kitchen is well stocked, better than most stores, plenty of pots, pans, coffee makers, and even a waffle maker. the pool table kept the kids busy when not in the water. the upper deck was definitely a hit with everyone, even the geezers ... bill the host was extremely responsive and checked in to ensure everything was ok. hands down, this is the best overall experience to date

Annual lake family vacation

This was our third stay on Lake Gaston and by far the best! The Connell’s home was perfect for our three families with more than ample room and to quote my young granddaughter, “very pretty!”. The counter top ice maker was a game changer and all of our great meals were prepared in the well stocked kitchen. We also enjoyed the lake along with the provided kayaks and paddle boards. We rented a pontoon and still had plenty of room for our boards and floats. Everyone agreed we would like to return next year.

Teacher Vacay

Five teachers and their families stayed at this amazing property for a week. The house was the perfect size for all 5 families. Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, and space to accommodate all of us. The amenities (dock, jump off dock, fire pit, paddle boards, kayaks, and pool table) kept us all busy and entertained all week.

Fabulous Celebration Week!!!

This property in Olde Ferry Estates is incredible and you will not regret choosing to stay here. Our group was celebrating 65th birthdays, a 40th birthday, upcoming retirements, a wedding anniversary, and a graduation. Drinks, Food, laughing, enjoying friends and making new friends was our focus. The house is very well appointed and the kitchen is stocked with everything you would ever need. Most of the people in our group were experienced home/professional cooks and every kitchen tool we needed was there - and everything in the kitchen was fairly new and very well maintained. We have stayed in a lot of lake houses in this area and the kitchens never quite had everything we needed but this house exceeded our expectations. We were all able to relax and enjoy this spacious house. The house was super clean and we did not have any issues with anything. The double decker boat house was great. We rented a pontoon boat for part of the week and kept it at the boat house. We even caught a few good size fish which we returned to the lake. The owner checked in on us a couple times to see if we needed anything and it was reassuring to know that if we did need anything that they would respond quickly. A great great well needed time of celebration with friends. We would undoubtedly choose to stay at this house again in the future.

Fun and Relaxation!

My adult children and I, along with my best friend's family enjoyed an amazing week at this spacious, clean home. We especially appreciated the very well equipped kitchen, as we love to cook large family meals! There was more than enough room for everyone to spread out, inside and outside. The dock was a huge hit - tons of room and seating on the roof! We rented a pontoon boat for 2 days and loved being able to come in and out whenever we wanted. There were many yard games available, but we were so busy with the water that we never had a chance to use them. Everyone kept thanking me for booking this home - you can't go wrong!

Memories Were Made

Macon Memories was the perfect spot for our group! The house was beautiful, the lake was beautiful, we had everything that we could need and more (the nugget ice maker is AMAZING!). The Connell’s communicated so well and made sure that we had all that we needed. We had an amazing stay! 10/10 stars!

Perfect family reunion/Thanksgiving vacation

Beautiful and clean home. Great floor plan and layout for multiple families to gather. Too cold for swimming (Thanksgiving), but we enjoyed the kayaks, fire pit, pool table, kitchen, and just hanging out. Nice decks.

Enjoyable and relaxing

We used this place for an annual planning meeting. The house was large enough that everyone had plenty of privacy. I would come back for a vacation and would definitely bring a boat next time. Very clean.

Wonderful lake getaway

We had a great time at Macon memories! There was lots of space for everyone to hang out. Very well stocked kitchen. Fire pit was fun to hangout at every night. Only thing I would recommend would be lounge chairs on the top deck of the boat house.

Great week at Macon Memories

Our group of 16 had a WONDERFUL time at Macon Memories! 9 adults and 7 boys ages almost 2 - 13 had wonderful cousin times. Adults enjoyed time outside after the boys went to bed. Bill was EXCELLENT and prompt in communications.

Fantastic Family Vacation

13 of us stayed at this beautiful house. There is plenty of room for everyone! The kitchen is very well stocked! Extra fridge and freezer in garage came in very handy. Bill made communication very easy. The high speed internet was down while we were there and Bill went out of his way to ensure that my son (who had a college exam) was able to complete his exam. Only thing i would change is to have some kitchen cabnet space available to store the weeks worth of groceries.

Perfect lake getaway!

Macon Memories is an outstanding property. We do an annual vacation with 3 families of 5, and this place was perfect. It is very well laid out and easily accommodated our group of 15. We never felt cramped, and it had all the necessary amenities needed to enjoy the lake life. The beds were comfortable, and the seating throughout was plentiful and of great quality. The grill and fire pit were also top notch. When we weren't out boating, our kids enjoyed swimming, fishing, and jumping off the docks upper deck. The owner was great at communicating with us, from the start, and checked to insure everything met our expectations when we arrived. I highly recommend this property! A great experience!

Macon Memories is a fantastic getaway!!

We shared this wonderful house with another family. Kids age range from 9-13 all had an awesome time jumping off the dock, kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming. The upper deck on the dock was perfect for relaxing and watching the boats go by on the lake and the fire pit was fun for s’mores and hanging out in the evening. House was awesome and had everything we needed. Boat rentals are close by and easy for pick up and drop off. Can’t go wrong with this house and location!

Bill, Audrey, Julia(21) and Jeff (19) live in Cary, NC outside of Raleigh. We love all kinds of outdoor activities, but lake activities are by far our favorite! After 10 years of towing our boat from Raleigh to Lake Gaston and dreaming about owning a place here one day, in 2017 we made our dream a reality! We hope you enjoy the house as much as we do!

This property has all of the luxury amenities you deserve on your vacation. The home is big enough to share with another family or two and you can bring your own boats or jet skis. The dock is perfect for jumping in the 10 ft+ of water for the kids or just sunbathing for the adults. All of the kids can easily be seen from the house deck while they are playing. The water at the dock is calm for docking the boat, swimming, and fishing but yet the main lake is right around the corner! There are no bridges to navigate to get out to all the main lake fun! The focal point of Lake Gaston, Eaton Ferry Bridge, is right around the corner about 1 mile by boat where you can visit marinas or restaurants by boat. Enjoy!

Large Luxury home with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Beautiful views of the lake from the house and deck. Outdoor shower, beautiful hard-scaped path to the dock including a fire pit! Double dock has plenty of boat parking on either side. On top is an expansive sun deck with jump gate for kids and sunbathing for adults while enjoying gorgeous views of the main lake only seconds away!
