Actualmente en proceso de actualización, Solar Delight es una casa de vacaciones frente al lago que seguramente complacerá a su familia y amigos. Great location & spaces! Traveled with 2 families with teenagers & grandparents (12). Clean, space to spread out, kitchen a little tight but doable. Enjoyed the fire pit, dock, hot tub & game room. Lots of steps to the dock as pictured. View was beautiful! Great trip!

Great weekend stay

Solar delight was a great property! There was plenty of room for 10 people, nice wide open common area. Really enjoyed the private dock and being so close to the water. The views were beautiful!

Great with kids

We stayed with two other couples and their kids for a total of 7 kids. The room downstairs was perfect for them but we also appreciated the extra rollaway beds in some rooms for when kids needed a break from each other. There was lots of functional outdoor space and we used it all. The hot tub was great and heated up quickly. The separate heaters in the bathrooms was a nice surprise and the multiple TVs and the beverage fridge in the garage was great. The ice maker was broken so we had to buy ice, the garage door was also broken but that just meant manually opening and closing. Based on the listing we assumed we could bring a boat to dock at the dock listed as an amenity but before leaving we received an email that said “no boat slip available-owner’s boat is parked there.” I called to clarify and at first they said we would have to use a nearby marina slip but after they talked to the owner, they said there was a space available and we had no issue. I’m still unclear what the typical situation is and the listing isn’t very clear. The stairs were a lot but this was a quieter spot on the lake which was great for water sports and swimming off of the dock which was nice and deep.

We loved absolutely everything about the property itself & the ease of check in and check out! Only suggestion would be to upgrade the pots and pans, as cooking was difficult with such outdated materials.

The house was great. Looked exactly like the pics. Needs to have salt & pepper to cook and upgrade to nonstick pans. We had a good but short weekend. Would love to stay here again in the spring/summer.

Relaxing Girls Weekend Get Away

My bridesmaids and I came to stay at Solar Delight this past weekend for my bachelorette party and it was a wonderful experience! We loved the ample space, comfortable beds and couches, hot tub, and beautiful view of the lake most of all! The house was very clean, super easy to check in and check out of, and easy to contact the property owners if needed. My friends and I are already discussing our next trip to Solar Delight at Deep Creek, MD!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Description accurate and very clean and well maintained. Starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap and hand soap was fantastic. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of bath towels, pillows and blankets. Would rent this home again. Taylor Made Deep Creek Vacation Rentals was wonderful to work with.

Amazing home with amazing view!

This home was perfect! It was clean, spacious, beautiful and located in a very private neighborhood. The updated kitchen was wonderful to cook in, the gas stove a necessity and much appreciated! The layout provided privacy for those who didn't want to gather in the "hub" of the home, around the fireplace. Access to the lake was better than we first thought, the stairs, while many, were sturdy and not too steep. Amenities in the house were great...starter soaps, trash bags, paper goods. Kitchen well stocked with plenty of dishes and serving ware, pots and pans. We would rent this house again, it checked all of our "must have' boxes for a vacation home!

Thanksgiving in Deep Creek

The home was in a nice neighborhood, and had a beautiful view of the lake. However, stairs down to the lake shore were abundant and steep. It wasn't fun getting back up! The home was comfortable, though even with the thermostat set at 73, still felt cold. The basement felt like it was receiving no heat at all. The oven would not work, which necessitated a call to the rental office, a work order placed and then maintenance coming to the home to check it. Unfortunately, they couldn't fix it, and needed to leave and pick up a replacement stove and come back and install! This delayed our Thanksgiving dinner, but the maintenance men were awesome and worked as quickly as possible. We enjoyed our stay, but would not return to this particular location. Also disappointing to not have received the Taylor Made "swag bag" with a roll of paper towel, a small dish soap, etc. We understand that we are to bring these types of items ourselves, but after multiple stays using TM and receiving the items each time, it was a disappointment to not receive it (we didn't bring papertowel or a sponge because of it).

Thank goodness for good company!

We stay in deep creek at least once a year, sometimes twice when we do a winter and summer trip. The location of the property was perfect. It was right on the lake with the best view. On the other hand, there were some things that were not so great. When we first arrived, the outside of the house was filthy. Thank goodness the inside was pretty clean. I had called the property manager because we slid the entire way down the VERY STEEP driveway because it was plowed but not salted. Under the snow it was a complete sheet of ice. As more family members were going to be arriving soon, I asked them to have someone come salt before and the lady on the phone wasn’t very pleasant. Almost acted like I was bothering her. there was a plow truck that came about ten minutes after I called. He was there for literally 30 seconds. I watched him barely plow anything and only salted one side of the driveway. The amount of salt that came out was barely anything. I called again to make them aware and again the lady on the phone had an attitude and basically said use caution and there’s nothing they could do. My husband found salt in the garage and ended up shoveling everything by hand and putting salt down so our grandmother didn’t fall when she got there. By the experience we had coming down the driveway, I find it hard to believe nobody has ever slid into the house before. Besides the initial issues and horrible customer service, none of the bathrooms or bedrooms were updated, several dining room chairs were missing screws and my nephew got his finger stuck under one, the pots and pans were so old, and the oven did not work so we weren’t able to cook anything in it (good thing we brought crock pots). I didn’t even call about the oven because the property manager was useless when I called about our initial issue with the driveway. We LOVE Deep Creek and will definitely be back to snowboard and do some boating in the summer however, we would never stay in this house again. It’s a shame because the property is in the perfect area with a fantastic view! Thank goodness for good company! Would not recommend this house!

Christmas Reunion with Friends

This property was beautiful, clean, and spacious. It accommodated all of our needs and slept everyone comfortably. The view was incredible, right on the lake, up high, overlooking everything. There was plenty of sleeping and eating space, and we very much enjoyed it. The round table was perfect for playing games. We would certainly recommend this property, especially if you have a large group of people, and look forward to booking it again in the future.
