Hermosa casa del cabo con playa privada y espectaculares puestas de sol

La casa está en Monument Beach, que se encuentra en la ciudad de Bourne. Bourne es una ciudad tranquila y accesible de Cape Cod que está "fuera de lo común" en relación con las ciudades más conocidas. Es una clásica casa de tejas de madera con playa privada. Somos dueños de esta casa desde hace 40 años, no somos administradores de propiedades.
Esta casa NUNCA se alquila en CraigsList, pero se han intentado estafas: envíenos un mensaje si tiene alguna pregunta.

No dude en solicitarnos un recorrido en persona por la casa o acceder a un video de youtube de la casa. La casa es más espectacular de lo que es posible transmitir aquí.

La casa es relativamente grande, con un porche profundo que envuelve alrededor de la mitad de su perímetro, la mitad de los cuales da a la playa. La casa fue recientemente renovada. Todas las habitaciones tienen ventanales, y tres de ellas tienen vistas estelares al agua, mientras que la cuarta tiene vista al parque.

La casa está situada en el puerto de Phinney, que es el primer puerto al sur del Canal en Buzzards Bay en el lado del Cabo del puente. Es un hermoso puerto con aguas cálidas y excelentes condiciones para niños, vela, kayak y pesca. La casa está orientada al oeste y bendecida con puestas de sol perfectamente estelares.


Adyacente a la propiedad hay un parque con un gimnasio en la jungla, columpios, una cancha de básquetbol, canchas de tenis y un campo suficientemente grande para un partido de béisbol. Una característica atractiva de la casa es su ubicación accesible. Debido a su proximidad (4 millas) al puente Bourne, es fácil llegar. Con frecuencia se puede hacer el viaje a la casa desde Boston en menos de una hora y media, incluso los viernes por la tarde. Esto significa que si no todos los miembros de la familia están de vacaciones durante el alquiler, todos pueden estar juntos al menos por las noches.

This house is spectacular! I loved absolutely EVERYTHING about this house! The location is breathtaking! And yes, the sunset was amazing!!! The house is very clean and comfy. We absolutely loved our stay here! The house is spacious, spotless, and right on the water—perfect for gathering together or finding a quiet corner to yourself. Communication with Joan was fantastic; she’s truly lovely. We caught a breathtaking sunset on our last night, and even a rainy day was wonderful—doing a puzzle in the sunroom and sitting on the porch listening to the rain felt so peaceful. The location is ideal, with an ice cream shop, bakery, Heritage Gardens, and Dunbar Tea House all nearby. Great for families, with tennis courts and a playground next door, but also perfect for a group of adults like us. Comfortable couches, plenty of dining space, and everything you could possibly need—it was a perfect getaway.

This house has wonderful views of the harbor and its associated bird life. The house itself is spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished. It was fun to walk in the neighborhood and on the sandy beach. Becky's Bakery and Whistle Stop Ice cream were any easy walk away. And the Lobster Trap which is a short drive away has great fresh fish and lobster. We also had a great time kayaking on the Great Marsh in Sandwich, renting kayaks from Rideaway Adventures. And we also really enjoyed the Cape Cod Canal Visitor's Center and the Aptucxet Museum. We only had 3 days, but we thoroughly enjoy them. One small caveat - the knives could be sharper.

Great Family Spot

We had a great time here! We are two families with small children looking to get away for the weekend. The property is ON the water, bright, clean with its own beach and a playground next door! One can walk to ice cream, a bakery and drive 5 minutes down the road for lobster rolls. I would definitely stay here again. If for nothing else, the front porch and the sunsets.

All in one

It was wonderful. I have 4 grandchildren , ranging from 1-4 years old. It was so nice to have the beach at our doorstep and the playground Nextdoor. Children are all on different sleeping schedules so it was easy to do this without packing up stuff to go to house.!! Plenty of room to spread out! We would definitely do it again!!

Family celebration for 80th Birthday

8 family members and a new born gathered to celebrate our mother’s 80th Birthday. The house was perfect for the occasion. Roomy,clean, updated, great kitchen supplies and fully stocked with bed linens and plenty of towels. Water views were beautiful and the wrap around porch facing the water was beyond picturesque. We spent much of most of the weekend on the porch catching up, relaxing and playing games. It was also where we gathered for dinners ( from the delicious lobster trap) while watching the beautiful sunsets. The brother who lives next door was so friendly and popped by the first day while we were on the porch to answer any questions and to be sure we were set. We left feeling like we had found a hidden gem which made our time together and celebration all the more special. We hope to return in the future!

Wonderful and Comfortable Beach House

The host, Joan, was exceptional in providing information, keeping us informed about changes in procedures due to Covid-19. She always responded quickly when we asked questions. The house was spotless. To reduce handling, clean linens, towels and pillows were in plastic bags on each bed. The well equipped kitchen had a Mr. Coffee and Keurig type coffee makers. Plenty of bowls, pots, dishes, glassware and silverware. Tablecloths for the large dining room table were also provided. Plenty of storage space in the cabinets for the items we brought with us. Our young grandsons loved the closet full of beach toys, and we loved the child safety gate at the top of the stairs. The closet also held the beach chairs and beach umbrellas. The photos of this house does not do it justice! The home has lots of space, so much so that we made one room the toy room. The bedrooms are a good size and although there is no air conditioning each bedroom had tower fans. The park next door has been redone and no longer has swings. It is more of a climbing playground for the 5-12 age group. My grandsons were happy to spend all their time on the beach playing in the sand. We even flew a kite on the lawn! The outdoor shower had warm water for quick shower to remove the sand each day. The neighborhood is very quiet with very limited street traffic. Parking is along the wall on the side of the house and we had enough room for 3 cars and a pickup truck. Bonus is the ice cream store and a bakery just a 5-minute walk from the house. This is a family owned home and extended members live next door and are available to answer any questions. This home was perfect and we had a hard time leaving. My 3 year old grandson kept asking if we could stay 5 more days. We told him we hope to return next summer!

Beautiful and quiet

Very relaxing and well equipped home. The home was well cleaned and cared for, provided the perfect stay with minimal fuss. The house and the views are better than the pictures, we will be back.

Highly Recommended - Amazing Location!

We had an amazing time this past week in the cape. Despite the weather being a bit cool and some rain, the location was great and the house was a perfect home base. Having the beach steps from the door and a playground literally next door, our kids were never bored.

Blissful Place for Sisters' Reunion

Perfect cottage to share with sisters who live scattered across the US. Four bedrooms plus an upstairs bath/shower and downstairs shower made it comfortable for all. We lucked out with perfect sunny 70s weather in mid-September so made maximum use of the wrap-around porch...starting with coffee and watching the birds on the water at sunrise and sharing wine at dusk. Lots of living spaces downstairs so if you had a large family there are plenty of places to hang out. Large dining table for big group meal with window looking out on the bay. Had a clean, fresh beach cottage feel with all the the amenities (wifi was good). Plenty of kitchen ware and dishes so if you wanted to cook you could. (We enjoyed eating out and not cooking for a change. Brought in take-out lobster dinner one night though from the Lobster Trap.) Pleasant to walk in the neighborhood, stopping in for ice cream....Drove to Chatham for lunch and relaxed shopping one day, visited the Aptuxent historical museum and Sandwich, MA another day. Flew into Boston and drove down to get there, so access from all over the country for a short time together worked fine. I expect we'll return. We all loved it. It exceeded our expectations (which were high).

Fabulous historic home!

Family members and I rented this home for a wedding weekend and the only downside is that we wish we could have had a longer stay and spent more time at the home. Joan and David were wonderful hosts and the home was equipped with everything we needed, even toys for the little ones. The house was in a great location for jumping on Rt. 6 to cut across the Cape or on Rt. 28 to head down to Falmouth. The house is set back in a quiet neighborhood and the residents are very welcoming. If you can look past the kelp, the bay is nice for a quick dip and there is an outdoor shower to rinse off. Mornings and evenings on the porch are the best, the playground is great if you have children, and there is both a bakery and pizzeria walking distance for a quick dip. We would love to rent this home again if the opportunity presents itself.

Amazing!

This beautiful home made for our best family vacation yet! There was plenty of room, everything you could need or want for a week at the beach is provided by the fabulous owners. We spent most of the week on the wide wrap around porch, morning and night it is the perfect spot to watch the kids at the playground or beach. We had every meal outside on the porch. The area is quiet and family friendly. Joan and Jane were so pleasant and easy to deal with. They have made this beach house the best vacation spot on the Cape!

Great home, responsive owners

Beautiful waterfront home with endless views. Huge wrap around porch with wonderful lawn extending to the water, and plenty of parking. All appliances worked, there were plenty of utensils and dishware, and beds were comfortable. As you can see from the photos, this is not a designer home, this is a great family home with tons of Old Cape Cod flare. We visited in October and the neighborhood was very quiet and private. This is a perfect place to take a step back from the hustle of life and unwind and relax.

Memorable time

quick weekend away

Fabulous location, esp with small kids. House is as described, although the 1/2 bath is a toilet only room off the kitchen. More common space than needed and amazing views! Spent more time at park than beach. Beach was very rocky with sharp shells. Any real water time you would have to walk to town beach - not far. Kitchen well equipped. Great time had by all!

Absolutely a wonderful home with great view!

Loved the house and Joan was wonderful! Great location on the Cape, which allowed us to get out sightseeing and getting everywhere we wanted with ease. Definitely recommend and we hope to stay there the next time we come up east!

Our grandfather first purchased a house in this neighborhood in 1938 and my siblings and I grew up summering in Monument Beach.

We love the quiet village of Monument Beach and have enjoyed so many family memories in this house. Our extended family makes every effort to spend at least some time here every year. We kayak, sail, play tennis and enjoy time chatting, reading, napping and watching sunsets from the porch.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Our favorite feature of the house would have to be the beautiful sunsets that light up the sky across the bay in front of the porch. If you have children they will enjoy the playground and the tennis courts adjacent to the house.
