Tigh-Na-Mara | Winterton Cottages

Tigh-Na-Mara - Gaelic for 'house by the sea' or 'beach house' - is a compact two bedroom chalet in a prime position on Winterton Valley Estate, with amazing uninterrupted sea views. Inside, the open plan living area includes a comfortable sofa, TV with Sky and a DVD player, as well as a dining table with seating for three. The well equipped kitchen area includes an electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, Ninja air fryer, kettle and toaster, as well as washing machine. Bedroom one has a standard double size bed, and uninterrupted sea views. Bedroom two has an adult size bunk bed. The bathroom includes a shower over the bath, wash basin and WC.

Tigh-Na-Mara has electric heating, WiFi and has parking behind the chalet. Up to three dogs are allowed at Tigh-Na-Mara, but must be kept on the lead in the chalet park - Tigh-Na-Mara doesn't have an enclosed garden area. Dogs are very welcome throughout the property, but if they join you on the furniture please provide throws. Please note it's park policy that dogs shouldn't be left on their own in chalets in case they bark.
Winterton Valley Estate is a short walk from Winterton village, and is open from the end of March until the end of October. There is no clubhouse or amenities on site and the chalets are very well spaced out, so the estate offers a peaceful and relaxed environment to enjoy your stay.

Amazing location

I have visited Winterton many times this is my favourite so far. The Chalet is so comfortable, quite and cosy. All the equipment provided are great quality. Having the Ninja air fryer, washing machine are a great asset. I will absolutely be returning.

Super views & walks right on your doorstep. Pleased to have a double bed & two full size bunk beds & everything you need for a comfortable stay. Close parking & very well maintained site.

Lovely chalet!

We just love this chalet. The sea view is amazing and as there is nothing between the chalet and the valley, you can imagine that you are the only people there! We have stayed there before and this time it was as good as ever. There was a problem with the cleaning and some surfaces obviously hadn't been cleaned for a long time. I alerted the owner about this and she is going to look into it.

Fabulous chalet!

5th stay in this chalet Perfect seafront setting Fully equipped kitchen .Lots of dog amd children's toys Table and chairs outside perfect There is a windbreak provided. Tracy is great at communicating Perfect place for dogs amd children. There are steep inclines to and from beach .

Excellent chalet - very comfortable and welcoming and views to die for! We enjoy the nautical touches too. I wondered if it might it be an idea to have a 'visitors' book' where guests could write in recommendations of places to visit and places to eat, etc.

Wonderful week

Our 5th time here , we keep returning because of the location- it’s stunning! If dogs could choose their own holiday this would be it! The chalet is very well equipped and we want for nothing.

Lovely stay.

Lovely place to stay. Great beaches within meters. short walk to village. Chalet has all the amenities+ you need for your stay. My only suggestion perhaps, would be to replace the shower, t has lost a little force as all electric showers do over time,

Holiday at Tigh-Na-Mara.

Lovely chalet if rather small. Excellent location although it would be helpful to know that you can’t get your vehicle close to the chalet to unload. We are pensioners and my husband is disabled so it was a little difficult but wouldn’t stop us going again. All in all a great place for a holiday and excellent for the dogs

Lovely place

Lovely position, right on the front overlooking the dunes and the sea. Very comfortable stay. All the amenities one would hope for. Free parking within easy reach for loading/unloading. We have stayed at this sight for many times over the last four decades, both as a family of four, and more recently, as a couple. We hope to book again for next year. My one criticism is, I think the shower unit could do with replacing. It has, as all electric powered showers do, beome weak as they wear out. Perhaps it's time to replace the bath with a shower cubical and new power shower. That is my only issue and did not and will not spoil my stay.

total chill out

second time at tighnamara but still enjoyed it as much as the first time .tighnamara is an ideal place were you can totally relax and unwind and watch the world go by but it is also suitable if your a dog owner as you can walk your dog for miles winterton is a lovely quiet village with a pub,shop,chipshop and postoffice/cafe if you want it a bit more busier then you can go to hemsby which is about half an hour walk and has numerous attractions like fair rides,amusements and numerous food outlets we all enjoyed our stay at tighnamara especially our new dog and hopefully we will be back again another time

Been many times, always great!

Tigh-Na-Mara is a lovely dog friendly chalet in a nice quiet location close to the beach with wonderful views. We have stayed a few times over the years and always had a lovely time. Tracy the owner is really friendly and replies quickly if you have any queries and the site the property is on is well maintained.
