Wonderful experience all around! Host was very accommodating when a blizzard made travel impossible on our intended arrival day, and we shifted the reservation forward a day! The house itself was so charming, comfortable, and impeccably clean. Our girls loved the third floor room with two twins and adjacent TV room with space to hang out and play games together. The whole house is bright with natural lighting and beautiful antique pumpkin pine floorboards. The gas powered wood stoves in the kitchen and living room created such a nice ambiance along with providing an extra toasty way to warm up after a wintery day in downtown Portsmouth. Our pup Oberon, a boxer, loved that he was able to join us on this vacation. He especially enjoyed watching the neighbors and their dogs walk by on their way somewhere. We will definitely book here again the next time we are visiting Portsmouth!!!

What a beautiful home!!! Michelle is a wonderfully accommodating host. The beds were so comfortable. The home is very clean and in a perfect location to walk in the great town of Portsmouth. Cozy fireplaces add to the splendid ambiance.

The location was great, the house was well stocked with pots/pans/glassware/etc. The bed was comfortable and the main bathroom was very nice. I did find it strange that there were no window treatments in the kitchen/dining area, it was a little strange since the street has a decent amount of foot traffic. It also meant the kitchen was pretty chilly.

This location and house offer a family room to stretch out and be very comfortable with sleeping and bathroom needs. We would book again if needed for a stay in Portsmouth.

Great old house on a quiet street close to the action of downtown. The house was decorated incredibly tastefully and the kitchen appliances were all new and in great shape!

Michelle was welcoming, supportive, and communicated well. The house was clean, nicely furnished, and well-equipped. It was also great to be such a short walk to downtown!It's mentioned elsewhere but just to point out again for awareness, since the house is old, the stairs to the upper levels are pretty steep and some of what looks like the original flooring was not entirely level and even. Not a problem for most, but something to consider for someone with mobility issues.

This was our second girls’ weekend and the house is as charming and accommodating as we remembered! There is not a single thing we wondered about or looked for that Michelle hadn’t already taken care of. The one caution continues to be the very steep stairs to the additional bedrooms and bath - our group handles it but something to keep in mind. The location is so centrally located - this time we enjoyed Kennebunkport’s Christmas Prelude. Can’t wait to visit again!

The time away was wonderful for several reasons. One reason was because the house was so warm and so comfortable and had everything needed. It is an old New England home with character totally updated however.I felt safe in my surroundings there.Michelle the owner was gracious and quick to respond to a question that I had. I would go back to the house just because of Michelle too.Portsmouth, NH is a walking town with many shops and restaurants - the house was a perfect location to walk or take a 5 minute car ride. It would be fun to go back!

This property was wonderful! So clean and comfortable. We were in Portsmouth for my niece’s wedding and this was the perfect spot. It is so close to downtown. I honestly wish I had more time to explore the surrounding area. Highly recommend this property!

There were 4 of us women in our 60s--left the pets at home--what a cozy, comfortable home! We walked to shopping, food and historical sights. We even enjoyed the beautiful beach right outside the kitchen door. Thank you! We would definitely stay again!

Convenient location. The highest level bedrooms would benefit from having curtains so people can dress more comfortably and sleep more soundly. Very steep stairs to climb so people with mobility issues would have difficulty navigating higher floors.

The house was immaculate and contained everything you will need for a comfortable stay. Beds were very comfortable, and we really enjoyed the outside deck and back yard. Michelle was extremely responsive to any questions we had. We were close to downtown and were able to walk most places. We had dinner reservations both nights but decided to drive and both restaurants were close by and delicious. All in all it was a great stay. There were 3 of us.

We love staying at this lovely VRBO in Portsmouth! The host is a great communicator, the location is great for walking into town and venturing to Maine and Massachusetts. This VRBO is quaint and well equipped. We look forward to returning next fall.
