Cottage Starfish encantadora! ¡Camina a la playa y al río!

Starfish Cottage puede hacer realidad sus sueños de vacaciones en la playa. Al final de nuestra calle amigable se encuentra el Océano Atlántico, con acceso directo a la playa y estacionamiento; En el otro extremo, el río Halifax! Nuestra encantadora cabaña de 2 dormitorios y 1 baño tiene todo lo que su familia / grupo de 4-5 necesitará. ¡Conduzca a la playa en 1 minuto o camine en 5 minutos! Los ciclistas son bienvenidos. Cochera para mantener su vehículo / remolque protegido de los elementos.
Durante los últimos meses, Starfish Cottage ha cobrado vida con amor. Nuevo por dentro y por fuera! Starfish Cottage es un pequeño refugio lleno de paz y belleza. Cuenta con un techo nuevo y ha sido pintado por dentro y por fuera. Se sentirá cómodo con una nueva bomba de calor / aire acondicionado y 4 ventiladores de techo. La luz entra por las numerosas ventanas, y se agregó nueva iluminación en la cocina, haciendo que toda la casa sea alegre y aireada. Inmediatamente notará los nuevos y hermosos pisos, así como la decoración inspirada en la costa. Starfish Cottage cuenta con un nuevo lavavajillas Bosch, un nuevo refrigerador y una lavadora y secadora de primera calidad para su uso. ¡Hay una ducha al aire libre para un enjuague rápido cuando regresas de un día en tu playa! El patio trasero es privado y está cercado y tiene una mesa sombrilla con sillas y una parrilla de hervidor Weber para comidas al aire libre. Puedes caminar hasta Alfie's por las mañanas para desayunar antes de usar nuestras sillas de playa, toallas de playa y bodyboards. Hay juguetes de arena para los más pequeños. En días lluviosos tenemos juegos, tarjetas, wi-fi, Apple TV (sin cable). Se aceptan mascotas por una pequeña tarifa. Una playa para perros se encuentra a poca distancia en coche, y un gran parque para perros está a menos de una milla de Starfish Cottage.

Quiet neighborhood/great location

We enjoyed our stay. The owner responded very quickly to anything we needed. It was a 10 minute walk to the beach, where there is a nice public access with restrooms,lifeguard, etc. We enjoyed the outdoor shower when we got home each day to try to keep some of the sand outdoors. There is also a dock overlooking the river just a minute in the other direction from the house also. So you can see a sunset or sunrise pretty easily :) The neighborhood is quiet and felt safe. Only one night did we hear someone up partying. The owner has done a good job finding pieces that include some storage possibilities for longer stays (there's no dresser in the twin bedroom, but is a regular sized closet, my kids put their clothes in the entertainment center drawers). It would have been nice to know that we could not let our dog out into the backyard from the house (had to go out through the carport), but I hear a new door is being installed in the master so that will be nice for future renters. The kitchen mostly had everything we needed for cooking during our stay. We appreciated the body boards, beach chairs, and sand toys also. Thanks for a nice stay!

Great Little Cottage

My husband and I stayed at Starfish Cottage for 6 weeks this past Feb/March. The house was very comfortable, including the Q bed and living room furniture. Lee provided plenty of toiletries, e.g. paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, etc. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. We cooked most of the time and found whatever we needed. There were plenty of bath towels and beach towels plus beach chairs and all kinds of gear you’d want for a day at the beach. We were impressed with so much that was provided! The cottage sits on a long street of similar bungalows, some cute and others really needing fixing up on the outside. We found the neighbors to be very friendly and felt completely safe. 10 minute walk to the beach; 3 minute walk to Halifax river where we enjoyed the sunsets!! We often sat in the back yard with our dog and enjoyed dinners of freshly grilled seafood or burgers. We definitely recommend this place! Lee was so accommodating and responsive to whatever requests/issues we brought up. Thank you for a wonderful stay! (We loved the SmartLock! No need for a key!!)

Location Location Location

If I could I would give the location 10 stars! You have water access at either end of this little street! Intercoastal waterway with a brand new fishing dock at one end and a sweet little public park and beach access to the Atlantic on the other end! You can actually hear the waves crashing on the beach from the front yard! It's close to a publix grocery store and numerous resturants (Salty Farms seafood market being the absolute best place for fresh seafood!!) Lee was very responsive and kept in touch in case I needed anything I probably won't be able to book it again because it will be too popular!! I was sad to leave!

Adorable little home

This was the best place we've stayed at in Ormond. The house is beautiful inside very well kept. Every thing is new and clean. I'm jealous of the washer and dryer lol they are much better than mine at home. We didn't cook at home so I cant say to much about the kitchen appliances but I know they had several conveniences if you wanted to cook. We do hope to come back next year. Also, the owners are great they kept in touch with us from reservation to the day before we left, then checked on us when we got there to see if we needed anything. We will highly recommend this place to everyone.

Not fancy from the outside but adorable on the inside!!!

When we first drove down the street we were concerned because this street is lined with little beach bungalows in various states of repair. Some are very neglected, but many are refurbished and clearly on the road to vacation heaven. When we pulled up to Starfish Cottage we noticed how neat and well kept the outside was and started to feel relieved. When we got inside we were delighted!!!! Totally redone, neat, and clean. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook (if you wanted to), with a working ice maker and plenty of paper produces for your use. The main bedroom had a very comfortable queen bed in the back of the house and the other bedroom was small with two small twin beds.(okay for kids, but not sure about full size adults). Bathroom was clean and shower was great. There is a washer and dryer with a drying rack nearby. We liked the location since we were visiting people up and down the coast - 50 min to St. Augustine or south to New Smyrna Beach, and the public beach was at the end of the street (free parking with bathrooms). Our only issue was the TV. As Baby Boomers and being non-techno, we were unfamiliar with Apple TV. There is no cable. But after contacting the owner for help, they came over, added Sling to the menu, with the shows we watched and that solved the problem. The owners were very accommodating and anxious to help get us settled and comfortable. We would definitely rent this little place again!

This is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle.

Starfish cottage is a great place to stay. It is laid out and decorated well. The neighborhood is quiet and the folks in the area were all friendly. We enjoyed the quietness of Ormond by the Sea with Ormond Beach and Daytona just a few minutes drive away. The house offered plenty of space for our 2 year old to play and be active in. The privately fenced backyard is good to play in also. Another nice feature is the outdoor shower in the backyard which is enclosed and private and great for cleaning up from the beach. The walk to the beach is easy as well as the beach access. There is a lifeguard on duty through the day. Lee and Deb we're very gracious and checked in with us throughout our stay. Thanks for a great vacation.

Exceptionally clean & simple

This little beach house is very well decorated, simple, clean & comfortable. I love how it isn't crowded with too many things, but is just perfect for the family get away! This is most ideal for a family of 4 or less, perfect for a family with children. A short walk to the beach and the 2 small beds in the extra bedroom are great for kids! We had 2 grandparent adults (adult siblings) staying in town for our family reunion, stay here in this home, so one of them had to sleep in the "kids room". It would be nice to have adult sized beds for the 'kids room', but it worked and the mattresses are comfortable! Although we didn't have any pets with us, both adults staying here are pet owners and I would highly recommend this as an excellent rental home for the pet owner who loves to travel with their beloved 4 legged family member. Someone with extreme pet allergies, I would just be aware this is a pet-friendly home. It is so hard to find pet friendly homes that are CLEAN and very nice looking - this is by far the best I've seen that's also pet friendly. The owners are so very very kind and gracious who have gone well above and beyond to make sure we had all we needed and if we had any questions, they always responded with in 1-5 minutes which is amazing! Thank you for letting us rent your home, we are so grateful that we found it and were able to have a wonderful family reunion this weekend! We look forward to making this an annual event.

We have 2 amazing granddaughters who delights our hearts. I love hiking, walking on the beach, horses, studying the Bible, and eating Mexican food--not necessarily in that order!

Starfish Cottage is located on a small strip of land between the Halifax River and the Atlantic Ocean, an easy walk to both. We chose our street because there is direct beach access with parking and a lifeguard right across the end of it. Our little house had been neglected for several years but we saw its potential and loved its location, so off to a labor of love we went! Now years and many projects later, we just love Starfish Cottage and want you to love it too.
