With 120 meters of uninterrupted beachfront, no neighbors on either side, and expansive dune-top views, this private sanctuary offers a peaceful, old-Mexico-inspired escape that’s as breathtaking as it is serene. Accommodating a carefully limited number of guests each year, The Escape is ideal for couples, families, and executive retreats seeking quiet, restorative time together in a truly private setting.

The Location
Las Dunas is a 30-acre gated enclave of five lots, quietly tucked about four miles south of El Cardinal and two miles north of Punta Pescadero in the remote Las Tinas region. The Escape is the first and only residence within Las Dunas that contributes to its rare level of seclusion and privacy. A short drive brings you to the charming village of Los Barriles (about 12 miles south), and to the vibrant resort developments near La Ribera (about 10 miles further). With a new wave of luxury developments to the south, this area has grown, yet The Escape remains a peaceful haven rooted in the feel of old Mexico—while staying conveniently within a 90-minute drive to San Jose del Cabo Airport.

The Property
The Escape represents thirty years of dreaming brought to life through four years of careful planning and construction. Set within the gated 30-acre Las Dunas, the property consists of a 4-bedroom main villa and a 2-bedroom separate casita that sit on elevated desert dunes about 40 feet above the sea, offering almost exclusive vistas and a natural sense of privacy.

Main House

- Four bedrooms: two master suites with king-size beds with direct access to the pool deck and uninterrupted views of the Sea of Cortez, plus two additional full view bedrooms (one king size bed and one queen size bed) that share a bathroom. All bedrooms offer spectacular views.

- Open living space with a fully equipped gourmet kitchen. A 35-foot wall of glass opens to the pool deck, outdoor kitchen, and fire pit, dissolving the boundary between indoors and outdoors and framing endless sea views.

- Sliding beach-side doors on the main house collapse the wall to create a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience, perfect for sunset moments and entertaining.

Casita

A northern casita sits just steps away from the main house, designed for privacy and convenience. It features:

- Two master suites (king size beds) opening to the Sea of Cortez with private baths

- A full kitchen and a living area

- Spectacular decks on both the front and back to enjoy sunrise over the Sea of Cortez and sunset over the mountains and desert landscape of Baja

- Glass walls that open to the front and back terraces, bringing the outdoors in

Outdoor Living

- Beautifully designed pool with an integrated hot tub, creating a serene focal point for relaxation and gatherings

Getting Here

We’ll arrange a local driver to pick you up from the airport in a comfortable, air-conditioned van. The drive is typically about 90 minutes on paved roads, with a short, scenic stretch on the last three miles along the beach road to The Escape. Our caretaker lives within a mile and is available to ensure your stay is seamless and comfortable.

If you prefer to maximize your time, we can arrange a helicopter shuttle to and from the airport in San Jose del Cabo. The helicopter lands at the property, letting you begin your vacation the moment you arrive.

Guest Policy

The Escape is offered on a very limited basis to selected guests to preserve privacy and the pristine environment.

This is a space designed for couples and families seeking a relaxed, restorative getaway, also perfect for an executive retreat; bachelor parties and bachelor/bachelorette celebrations are not permitted.

Pets are not allowed.
