Great place for a fews days from the rat race. Small, quiet, but within walking distance from town.

Would not stay here again

Areas for improvement: Shower on 1st floor had mold/mildew on caulk at base of door track. Walls above the shower enclosure wet area had paint and mud peeling/falling into shower. Multiple light fixtures either missing bulbs or burnt out. Fixtures having multiple bulbs - bulbs not all same color. Faceplate on 110 volt outlet in bedroom is missing. Safety hazard. Kitchen sink faucet is leaking. Cobwebs on light fixtures. French doors on south side top and bottom lock compromised by wood rot. It would be relatively easy to break in the doors with minimal external force. Security concern. Things we liked: 1. Spacious 2. Close to DT

The Agave Chapel is beautiful and quite spacious. Its location is perfect to walk in downtown Fredericksburg. We enjoyed the fact that we were close to great restaurants and bars that we didn’t have to drive to. We visit every year and will definitely book the place from now on.

Agave Chapel visit

This was a fantastic location! Walking distance to Main Street and shopping. The price was great and there was plenty of room for two couples.

Location is amazing! A tad loud in the mornings with trash trucks and other delivery trucks, but I couldn’t have asked for a better location.The home needs major renovations. The doors don’t have any seal left, they even have things to place down when it rains so it doesn’t leak…One of the windows seals is rotting, the bathroom downstairs is pretty old and not cleaned very well. The bed definitely needs replaced. I understand bugs can get in, but I think I found at least 7 crickets in 2 days inside the living and bedrooms. Although i would love to stay here again, I most likely wouldn’t due to the poor condition of the home.

The property was lovely and very comfortable. We loved how close it was to Main Street and shopping! We would stay here again, and highly recommend.

Charming Property with the BEST Location

We loved our time at Agave Chapel! The property was beautiful, spacious, and the best part was we could walk to and from downtown every day with ease. It's the perfect distance from Main Street to head back for a quick break, drop off shopping bags, or bring back a bottle of wine to put in the fridge for later! The parking was directly on property and there was plenty of space. The courtyards are cute and are shared with the other rentals on the property. There were lots of plants on site and we saw hummingbirds out our window every morning. Just a heads up for anyone with mobility issues - there is a spiral staircase leading to the second bedroom. We had no problems with it and loved the charm but it's something to be aware of.We can't wait to come stay at Agave for our next trip!

Agave Chapel was wonderful

It was very hot when we arrived at Agave Chapel but we were greeted by a wonderfully cool house. It was so spacious and very clean. Plenty of room for the four of us. Plenty of working space in the kitchen for my daughter in law to make some very tasty meals. I loved the terracotta flooring. Very quiet. Very convenient to shopping and the Pacific war museum. Would definitely stay here again .

Great location! Cutest house, with just a few things to note

We had a great stay here. The location cannot be beat and we loved sitting outside at the tables and talking every morning and night. Some things to note: the downstairs room is completely open in a 1 foot by 5-6 foot space at the top so anyone coming down the stairs can look directly into your bed. Also, the bedroom door does not have a handle or a lock so it just sort of sits there a little bit open and anyone in the living room or dining room will be looking directly at the bed. It was a little awkward. Also the sheets are polyester, which sleep so hot. I'd love to see cotton sheets on the bed. The AC is very strong, which helped compensate. Adding a full length mirror would be very helpful. There were random bulbs out all over the place, in all rooms. And the only place with near enough light is the upstairs bath. So my friend and I crammed in there to do makeup. I would not let these things stop you from staying here, as it was a lovely stay. Just some things that could easily be fixed. The lack of privacy in the bedroom being the biggest thing.

Charmingly Rustic Cottage

We enjoyed our stay in this rustically furnished, nicely decorated, clean and tidy cottage. Great location, one block from main street, an easy stroll to all nearby attractions. The narrow spiral staircase to the loft is steep and difficult to navigate with a large suitcase, which some folks might not like. The kitchen is ill-equipped for cooking, but if you’re eating out this isn’t a concern. All considered, we recommend this cottage and would stay there again.

Amazing property with great location

Wonderful property. Close to everything we needed with a cute pizza place across the street. The property was spacious and beautiful. Will be coming back to stay again.

Charming

The Agave Chapel was a great place and space for the four of us to stay! Old world charm, plenty of natural light, beautiful pieces of furnishings and plenty of room. The greatest part to us is we could walk to everything, located right off of Main Street!

Great place

Just want to suggest updating the silverware set. There were no formal forks in the unit, just four forks for dessert. That was the only problem, but other than that everything was great! Thanks.
