FRENTE AL MAR Salvo- Colonia Dr. Relájate y deja tu trabajo y te importa volver a casa. Merece un descanso, y no hay mejor lugar para disfrutar de su descanso que UNA CANCIÓN DE PLAYA. El nivel del suelo tiene una unidad de concreto, cochera, cubierta a nivel del suelo y entrada para todo clima. El primer nivel presenta un dormitorio con un juego de literas y un baño completo. El segundo piso tiene 3 habitaciones (1 reina principal y 2 con baño compartido) y un estudio que se abre a una terraza con vista al mar con sombra y ofrece un Smart TV / DVD de 32 "con películas de Netflix. El tercer nivel presenta una suite principal reina. Ambos dormitorios principales tienen televisores inteligentes de 32 "y baños privados. La gran sala está abierta y ventilada con techo de catedral, paneles de Juniper, chimenea de leña, y grandes ventanales para ver los desfiles de delfines y pelícanos. La sala de estar también se abre a una terraza amueblada y un gran porche con columpio para noches tranquilas y espectaculares amaneceres. La decoración interior personalizada, el arte original, un televisor de pantalla plana en cada habitación y un mobiliario único resaltan este hogar y lo convierten en uno que seguramente recordará.

The house had enough activities for the one rainy day! It was short walk to the beach, especially with young children. The house had enough room for all of us!

Overall a good stay

Kitchen was well stocked with pots & pans, plates & cups, but was disappointing that we had to supply our own bedding & towels or else rent them due to being there off season. House was very nice, kitchen and floors were very clean, however cleaners could do better job of cleaning the “non weekly” types of jobs like dusting the hard to reach areas and walls. Also, house did not have a very good view of the ocean.

Spring getaway

House was comfortable and well stocked. Pool was nice but needed to be vacuumed. Pool man came by and tested water and nothing else. Good location and nice view. Overall nice house and we enjoyed our stay.

NOT oceanfront

This rental has been a process from the beginning. There apparently is a $450.00 fee that was added and no one wants to take claim as to which company added the fee. VRBO says it is the rental company and the rental company says it is VRBO. So… needless to say that we had to pay the extra. This is marketed as oceanfront just because there is no house between it and the beach well… 350 yards later… This house is Oceanside at best. The check in time was 6pm! Never in 35 yes of coming to the outer banks have I had a 6pm check-in time. So at 6pm we are at the house with no text from the rental company to find that the cleaning lady is there and has been since 430 and is no where near done cleaning. So…we jumped and had to help her so we could get our small children ready to eat and ourselves ready for the week. Still with us helping clean and making the beds for her she did not leave until 730. Meanwhile an inspector came at 615 to make sure it was done and I received a text at 641pm saying the house was ready for us to check in. Not even close! Because the cleaning lady (who was super great by the way) was rushed the house was not fully cleaned. We noticed lots of other maintenance issues with the house. Air filters dirty, leaking front windows. This house has cups and cooking pans, silverware and the minimal necessities but nothing extra. There is not even a landline phone. Needless to say we will never be renting from Surf or Sound rental company again and will make sure before hitting the accept button about renting with VRBO again. Despite all of the house and rental company issues we got to spend time with family.

Pictures are deceiving

The property was not in great shape and the furnishings were dated. Bathrooms are very small, incandescent lights hanging in showers. Hammock was broken and unusable. Microwave quit working Wednesday, reported it Thursday morning, still wasn't fixed by our checkout on Saturday. Picture of beach access looks like path over dune is 50 feet from house, it is actually at least 100 yards from house and dune is very steep. Dishwasher worked but didn't do a great job. Pool and hot tub were fine. Would not recommend this house.

Great Spring Break Visit!

Our family really enjoyed our stay here. The house was great for what we needed and we like the location and the fact it is very quiet and low-key. Easy walk to the beach. There are a lot of stairs, but that was not an issue for our group. Hot tub was great, but it was too cold for us to use the pool that week. Just enough places to eat nearby, and you can avoid a lot of traffic and people if you want to being in Salvo.

Great location lots of potential

Asked before arriving about the refrigerator due to it being broken according to reviews by other renters and was told it was fixed arrived to find that it was not fixed lost some food that we had brought with us. Also the grill that was listed was in a state of disrepair and had food left in it from past renters. After reading other negative reviews about this property I was trying to be optimistic but after staying I would say our experience was consistent with other renters who had similar experiences.

Nice stay

Overall we had a nice stay. The upstairs half bath is not well-ventilated, but there are plenty of other baths to use! Our family loved the screened in porch. We enjoyed the view of the sand dunes and listening to the waves crashing. Unfortunately the fence surrounding the pool was infested with wasps and our son was stung on our first day. We called maintenance each day and each day they sent someone out to spray/get rid of nests, however, they didn’t fully get rid of all nests until our last day there. So we were unable to use the pool the entire week. Our kids were disappointed. With that being said, we were refunded for that inconvenience without any hassle, which we appreciated.

A Beach Song in Salvo

We enjoyed as much of our stay as we could, with weather being bad from "Teddy". The pictures make the home seem a lot bigger than it is, but that doesn't take away from the fact it has plenty of space. Screens on second floor master and 3rd floor porch, need repair. The dartboard, had no darts. Previous tenants had not cleaned up behind their dogs, so I cleaned up behind mine and theirs. Plenty of dust in the corners and behind doors of each room. I vacuumed them all, pretty well. Three drawers, in the kitchen, seemed like they hadn't been touched for quite some time. Full of crumbs, and one even had jelly splattered in it and on it's contents. I cleaned and organized all three. Dishwasher missing top rack. Decent cookware. Prep-ware was very random, and not complete. Wall above stove cabinets, covered in visible dark dust. Refrigerator either needs defrosting or replacing. Lost two nice roasts, A pack of chicken and a gallon of milk. Overall, the home is nice, but it needs some TLC. Roads were closed, an hour after we got to our home, due to high tides and remained closed the entire week we were there. Our realtor never told us they were closed, but we did get an email about when they'd reopen. Opening 2 days before we were due to leave and another storm coming, we left a day early.

A BEACH SONG

THIS RENTAL WAS ALMOST PERFECT. FRIDGE DID NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. IT WAS NOT COLD ENOUGH FOR SODAS, BEERS, JUICES, WATER, WHITE WINES, MILK,ETC. I CALLED MAINTENANCE AND LEFT A VOICEMAIL ABOUT THE PROBLEM WITH MY NUMBER AND NO ONE EVER CALLED BACK. I WOUND UP BUYING OVER $50 WORTH OF ICE AND KEPT ALL OF THE ABOVE IN THE FOUR COOLERS WE BROUGHT WITH US.

Wonderful Getaway in Salvo

We had an enjoyable time staying at A Beach Song for 2 weeks. The location was great and despite having neighbors it was very quiet and allowed for lots of R&R. The TV channel selection was vast - definitely something for everyone. We were surprised at how small the bathrooms were given the size of the property. The kitchen could use more bowls and there was only 1 wine glass. There is No Recycling per Surf & Sound Realty despite a sign in the kitchen listing pickup on Mondays. The new jacuzzi was amazing and the sunrise and nightsky was spectacular! Overall - 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
