We were very happy to have the penthouse, I own my own business and I would strongly suggest that maintenance be done there are a lot of problems and for being a penthouse it does not look as good as it should.

Dated unit that needs updating

We had a nice stay but this unit needs to be updated from its early 2000 decor and several things need fixing. With a large living space there was only one lamp in the living area. Several light bulbs were out in the kitchen and over the bar. The light over the stove did not work. No KCup coffee pot, just a regular. The master toilet had to manually be re plugged after each flush. We had six in our group and there were only five chairs for the dining table so we had to bring one in off the balcony. The dishwasher is really really bad. It didn’t clean the load after two washes so we had to hand wash all of that and then the dishes for the rest of the stay. There are many loose knobs on closet doors and a booger on the back of the master toilet door (GROSS). Finally, this unit is on the 20th floor. The elevator went down the night prior to our departure. This meant multiple trips up and down stairs to load the cars to depart. We reached out to liquid life at 715 am on the morning of checkout regarding an extended check out time or a compensated night for the next night. They didn’t respond until 115 that afternoon that the elevator issue was being addressed which, of course, was not helpful as we went ahead and left by the required checkout time.

Decent Property

The condo was very nice in size. The laundry room was very nice as well as the large balcony. The location isn’t bad but could be closer to more restaurants and stores. I didn’t get a luxury “pent house” feel. The rugs, curtains, chairs, and couch were stained and in need of a Deep clean or a replacement. The worst was the elevators. They’re very hot, smelly, and full- you have a long ride being in the PH. Parking garage spaces are very tight.

Great place to stay.

We enjoyed the condo. The only complaint I have was it wasn’t very clean. The floors didn’t look like they were even vacuumed and the baths had hairs in them. So I just cleaned up what I could and we enjoyed the rest of our vacation, awesome location and amenities. We will definitely be booking again,

Penthouse in name only

This property needs an update - in both cleaning and basic repairs. I did report all issues with property management and let them know I did not need any of this repaired during our stay. However, I will say that I was very happy that extended family wasn't able to join us - as I would have been embarrassed by the property. The couch was so dirty that we put our personal blankets down to sit on it. The walls had so much damage from furniture scrapes and perhaps movers - not really sure because in my own home, I have never had the type of wall scrapes and large paint chips that were here. I am not sure if housekeeping is supposed to report these items or if the owners never review it. But light switches were loose, so some lights may or may not turn on. Carpets were dirty as well. It really needs to be closed for a week and have cosmetic repairs, deep cleaning (or new furniture/rugs) and painting of the entire unit. Curtain rods were loose, appliances missing pieces, broken drawer in fridge etc. The only thing "penthouse" about it was the size and top floor location. In addition, had 8 people been there - the kitchen dishes wouldn't have been sufficient. There aren't 12 of any kinds of glassware, there are enough plates, but not bowls. With over 10 years of VRBO bookings this was by far the worst appointed kitchen ever. We specifically chose that building because of prior bookings, but we needed a larger place. This had fewer pots, pans, etc. Now, I know why other places show pictures of the cupboards! The location was wonderful, and the building met our needs, but if you are looking for something special this isn't the unit.

Great location but needs a massive cleaning

Location is excellent but this unit was by far the dirtiest we have ever stayed at in Seawinds and we stay multiple times throughout the year for the past 13 years. The dining chairs have fabric hanging from some of them, the couch is horribly dirty as is all the rugs and carpets. The carpet just needs to be ripped up!

A little disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived at the condo it wasn’t obvious at first but we quickly realized it hadn’t been cleaned very well if at all. First thing we noticed was cracker crumbs on the carpet and water marks on the coffee table. I called Liquid Life and a young couple came to clean the condo. They did a really good job and we expressed our appreciation. Before they arrived and after walking around barefoot on the tile for just a few minutes we noticed our feet were black, telling me the condo hadn’t been cleaned in quite a while. Once the cleaning was complete the condo was better but still in desperate need of a deep carpet and upholstery cleaning. This was our second stay in a row in Seawind PH7 but I don’t think we’ll be back. Too expensive to be dealing with that aggravation!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Me and my family usually stay in Orange Beach but I decided on a condo in Gulf Shores this time. The condo was nice and very spacious. It accommodated me and my family well. Although, the condo was well maintained, I do feel that we would prefer to be closer to Orange Beach. The Sea and Suds restaurant was convenient for eating. However, we were unable to enjoy the beach because of the weather. That was beyond anyone's control. We can't control Mother Nature.

Large balcony with only an old rusty glass top table and only three mismatched uncomfortable chairs. Overall the aminities in the condo were minimal, not what we expected with the Penthouse.
