Convenient location and comfortable place!

The house was perfect for what we needed. We were there for a conference and the location was very nice. The hosts were extremely easy to work with and helpful, and the house was comfortable! We would definitely stay there again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a very comfortable, no frills stay. Keep in mind that as several have noted, this is NOTmodern house, but has a lot of quaint charm to it for its age.I really enjoyed so.e of the architecture of the home and was weirdly intrigued by the collected of antique door handles everywhere (yes, i am goofy that way).Temperature controls were easy to follow and the well document house details were a good touch.Again, no extra frills here. Single tv in the family room, but it made it much easier to keep the family together rather than each of us wandering off to our rooms to watch tv there!

Everything felt so close! No matter where we needed to be in the Springs, it was onlyMinutes to get there. The house has everything needed to maintain the comforts of staying at our own home. Great communication with the property managers. Highly recommend.

Long COS weekend.

Great house - it was clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, and our group of 4 and sometimes 5 had plenty of space. Nice location - close to downtown, Colorado College, and Old Colorado City.

Great Stay!

We had an excellent stay in this well kept house. Clean and conveniently located just five minutes from downtown and close to many attractions. Check in/out was easy. Plenty of space for a family of 4 and room for more. Very quiet and and a great stay overall. We appreciated the k-cups and tourist magazines that gave us ideas to fill in between sheduled events. We would definately stay here again whne in the area.

We stayed at the house for a weekend and was exactly what we expected. We did not have any issues with checking in, finding the house or with anything in the house. It was very clean inside and everything worked great. We would stay there again

Girls Trip

This house was very comfortable, had plenty of space for the 3 of us. They had tons of amenities in the kitchen, more than any house we have ever stayed at. All bathrooms were well equipped too. Lots of extras! Seems they have thought of everything. We where very pleased with our stay.

Had a wonderful time!

Stayed for 3 nights and the house worked great for our group. The first floor bedroom/bath was awesome for my elderly grandmother since she can’t do stairs, and the smaller room off the bedroom upstairs was awesome for our little one. Like 2 blocks from where my family lives. Super convenient and comfortable

Perfect Weekend!

My family all came to Colorado Springs to celebrate my grandmother's 100 birthday! This was the perfect location for Garden of the Gods and Downtown Colorado Springs. Beth is an amazing host and only a call or text away if you needed. This house is very unique and clean. We enjoyed making many meals in the kitchen, time together playing games, and exploring Garden of the Gods.

One of my best VRBO experiences!

I've stayed at a number of lovely VRBO's over the years, but this place is one of the best! The owners were friendly and responsive, the house is beautiful and everything was clean and in good working order. Beds were comfortable, towels were fluffy, and the pantry was stocked far beyond what I have typically seen. The neighborhood was older, quiet, centrally located and convenient for the things we were doing. I would definitely stay here again! Thanks so much!

So-So

I really wanted to give this place a great review but I can’t if I’m to be fully transparent. There is basically zero yard, just a tiny front yard that’s very exposed to Bijou street and the back drive area is open with zero privacy and not appealing at all. The house is absolutely adorable and we did enjoy that very much. Beautifully decorated and mostly clean. Every accessory and kitchen utensil you need is there. There was unfortunately a lot of mouse droppings in the bottom stove drawer, which we didn’t see until after we had already cooked our meal. We did alert the owner in which the response is that “its an old house” Well…I also live in an old house and do NOT have mice. Sadly it is in a higher homeless population area but that’s no fault of the owner, that’s just the unfortunate de-evolution of Colorado. I would say, if you aren’t going to be there much at all, it’s perfect. Maybe also really good during the winter and Christmas time. As long as the mouse problem is taken care of. I would Not want to stay there in the summer since there isn’t anywhere to enjoy the outside.

I utilize reviews when searching and am compelled to add my own

The good...the location is great. Close to a lot of things to do and places to eat. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need with some staples added in like salt, sugar, etc. The beds are super comfy. There is a great little coffee shop 2 doors down. The bad and why I would not stay again...the homeless population is high in this neighborhood. The homeless guy that popped out of the bushes across the street was very unnerving. This didn't feel like a very safe area. The 4th "bedroom" is a little misleading. There is no air/heat and the beds are more appropriate for younger children. The air conditioning for the house is not sufficient to cool the upstairs. The folks that slept up there complained of it being to hot to sleep comfortably. Last but not least..we had a clogged/slow to drain toilet. I notified the owner immediately. His response was for us to go buy a plunger and try to unclog it ourselves and if he had to send a plumber and found it was because of "misuse" we would be charged for it. Wow..I was shocked. Not the response I was expecting. We were leaving the house at 7am going rafting for the day and would then need to take care of this when we are done? I expressed my displeasure but said we would handle it. He finally conceded to having a maid stop by with a plunger and fix the issue before we got home that evening. The owners response really was not acceptable and I think there are better places to stay.

We own and operate 3 rental properties in the Colorado Springs area, and take great pride in providing 5-star experiences for our guests. Beth is a licensed REALTOR in the Colorado Springs area and John is a mortgage broker - the two of them make a pretty great team in more ways than their family unit! If you're thinking about moving to the Pikes Peak region, they are a wealth of helpful information for all things real estate.
