Cackleberry Roost was perfect for a friend and myself as we visited Zion Nat’l Park (approx 25 mins away). Connie and Kay were great hosts and provided juice, coffee, and fresh eggs. The Roost was quiet and spacious with a well stocked kitchen, plenty of linens and a washer n dryer. We would def stay here again!!!

The BEST PLACE we have EVER stayed!

If we could give 10 stars out of 5 we would! They were amazing! So kind! They went above and beyond in everything they provided for us. We went last week. The AC system is incredible. The homemade cookies, the juice and fresh roaming chicken eggs. The theme of the space is so fun. And the owners are incredible! We will definitely be back. We had such an amazing time here. Grateful for wonderful people that are so accommodating.

Great and affordable

Had a wonderful stay here, hosts were very nicr and communicative, they gave us local coffee and farm fresh eggs. They even brought freshly baked cookies for us before we left!

Friends get away

Came to Utah with friends for a long weekend getaway. Went hiking and riding SxS and had a blast. The house was very comfortable and clean. Highly recommend.

Perfect for families

Kay and Connie were very good at communicating about the check in process. A very good stay for families. Lots of room for them to run around. A trampoline, basketball hoop, and gaming console were a hit with our 3 boys. Easy access to Zion and half the price.

Nicest host EVER.

Property has everything you could need during your stay and then some. Neighborhood is quiet, safe, and only about 24 minutes from Zion. Connie was SO friendly and amazing - she even gave us fresh eggs from their chickens along with a couple of other special surprise treats that I won't ruin by saying, but they were such a thoughtful touch. She truly made us feel as though she was happy to have us as guests and wanted us to enjoy our stay. Can't recommend enough. Thanks, Connie!!!

Perfect place, perfect host!

This was a STEAL of a deal for what was included! Connie greeted us with a hot plate of cookies and provided fresh eggs and local coffee. She was very accommodating, quick to reply, and easy to communicate with. If you are going to Zion, this is THE place to stay. We will absolutely be back!

Very nice place! I would highly recommend staying there. There were comfortable beds, it was very clean, a stocked pantry with staples, juices in the refrigerator, the air condition was comfortable, had washer and dryer, convenient to Zion and restaurants, parking was great. The owners were hospitable with sending fantastic chocolate chip cookies.

Cackleberry Roost is just right!

So amazingly priced, provisioned, safe, spacious, positioned. What can I say but perfect. We all enjoyed out stay. Hosts were great. I wanted to adopt them.

Great Location for National parks and St. George

My wife and I stayed in La Verkin earlier this year and found it to be a great starting point when visiting some of the national parks in the area. We returned again at the end of the summer with our kids and wanted to be in the same area. Kay and Connie were great hosts and made us feel at home. They were very responsive and went out of their way to make our stay as good as it could be. If you are looking for a place that is only 30 minutes from Zion at a much more affordable rate, this is a good choice!

Lovely place!

Perfect location for our family! The kids loved having their own rooms, and we made excellent use of the kitchen and laundry room. The fresh eggs and homemade cookies were the sweetest touches! Hosts were friendly and had a fully stocked place to use. You’ll have everything you need, from laundry detergent to a fully stocked pantry! Very conveniently located to Zion (maybe 25 minutes) and about 2.5 hours to Bryce or North Rim. Highly recommend for families!

My family had the best stay!

The stay at Kay & Connie’s Cackleberry Roost apartment was the best! It was clean, comfortable, and had all the components of home. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment and seasonings. The bathroom had plenty of towels and toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, and body wash). The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for all 6 of us. It was a special treat to gave eggs, apple juice, & local coffee left for us when we arrived! The location of the apartment was perfect. It is a very quick drive to Zion NP and is in close proximity to sand hollow reservoir (a favorite!) and Bryce NP. The town of La Verkin is adorable and has lots of great restaurants and locally owned businesses. There’s also a grocery store really close by. Overall, we loved staying with Kay & Connie. They are lovely hosts. We enjoyed meeting them and will most definitely return!

Wonderful Stay!!

Highly recommend this home! It was clean, well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Beds were comfortable. The fresh eggs, apple juice and fresh baked cookies were great!! Connie was very easy to communicate with, my son left his charger and she will be sending them back to us at home.

Excellent stay for a Zion adventure

Connie and Kay have provided everything one needs in their 3 bedroom apartment in the charming town of La Verkin. On a quiet, shady street with nearby restaurants and shopping, we found a clean, comfortable, and well-organized place with a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and laundry facilities. We hope to return again soon.

Like visiting family. (In a good way)

Nicely converted basement home with incredible hosts. Very thoughtful place to stay for your Zion adventures. The host thought of everything, including home made cookies and local coffee. Kitchen is well appointed with all the modern conveniences and a gas bar b que outside.

Enjoyable and fun!

The hosts were the best part. They turned what would have been a nice trip into something very enjoyable, pleasant and memorable. They were also very accommodating having everything we needed for our time there. All the necessary things we're there, available and functioning. We've done a number of vacations in the last few years, these were by far the best hosts we've met.

Comfortable place to stay near Zion

We enjoyed spending three nights here while exploring Zion National Park. It’s a straightforward 35 minute drive to the park so we enjoyed having the option to eat near the park and drive back afterwards or go grocery shopping in LaVerkin and cook in the well stocked kitchen. Connie and Kay are extremely responsive and kind with eggs, juice, and warm cookies. Everything was very clean and the old school Nintendo was fascinating for our teenagers!

Charming house, perfect host!

The house was very comfortable with 3 very nice bedrooms, 1 bath and a well equipped kitchen. The house is conveniently located near Zion as well as restaurants and stores. As the other reviews note, our host generously provided fresh eggs, apple juice and freshly baked cookies. I highly recommend this home.
