We loved the Gearhart condo. We saw whales from the balcony and searched for sand dollars on the beach. our unit was quiet and our vacation peaceful.

Awesome, easy, clean beautiful stay. Great location that’s tucked away from the hectic crowds of seaside. Awesome beach access.great staff. Definitely will come back here for another fun stay.

Amazing view and clean!

The view on this property was even better in person than seeing the listing! Property was just great. We only wish it had A/C but we opened the doors and windows for a nice ocean breeze!

The condo unit is good and the view is outstanding. However, it is full of beach kitsch and outdated tourist magazines (2016!). The place needs a deep clean & paint (done by a professional) and a kitchen inventory - (pots with no lids, assorted and unmatched glassware, dinnerware & cutlery. It would be improved with proper curtains, not decorative panels. It could be much more than just OK. The owners should come take a look at their own property.

Listing was accurate. Responsive staff. Clean condo, but dated with a few VHS and DVD options. Beds were small and uncomfortable. Sofa bed isn't functional for sleeping. Bring your own seasonings if cooking

Comfortable stay with beautiful view of the ocean. Can see full view of beach towards SW although can’t see the sunset from balcony, due to the direction of the view. Bed was way too soft for us, and woke up with back pain both morning, but otherwise was a beautiful stay. Our activities included clamming and beach combing so wanted a place with kitchen. Nothing fancy here, but met our requirements 💕 Thank you

Family vacation /Soccer in the sand tournament

Everything was good, my kids love the pool, is only 10 minutes away from Seaside but the only downside was the checking in process not a lot of information given in the description.

Nice Loft

We really enjoyed our stay and there was plenty of room for all of us. The location is great with easy access to sightseeing. Beach is close the sound of waves so relaxing. Pool is heated. Maybe needs some updates regarding checking in, logs etc. It appears to be written generally and didn't quite match the listing. Needs better kitchen lighting. Other than that it had everything for home cooking. We would visit again.

Family vacation

Was very nice. Nice ocean view, a short walk to the beach. Wifi was a bit spotty at times, but other than that was a nice place. We enjoyed the pool and spa as well.

Beautiful Weekend at the beach

Great view. Easy access to beach and clamming. The only downside was no cleaning or fire log for the 2nd night due to Covid restrictions. The kitchen light stopped working. Other than that it was great.

Great location and staff. Unit was super comfortable and clean.

Our unit we stayed in checked all our checkboxes for what we wanted in a stay. The sound quality (never heard neighbors) and view was my favorite part. It was comfortable and felt like I was on vacation. A couple things were funky. The stairs to the loft are super steep and painted concrete. The main bed on main living area creeks, the loft bed was soft and quiet. The refrigerator makes the most noise in the unit for sure, that we all talked about the noises from the refrigerator during our stay. The stove malfunctioned somewhat, low seemed to be high and the other burner barely got hot to cook our scrambled eggs. Kitchen items are there yet need some love and refreshing. Dishwasher was complicated as dishes don't fit in the sizing and awkwardness of it. If you don't find the right place for something it will not shut. Wine glass do not fit in d/w. We used the couch as a third sleeping place and it worked great. The shower is low. I'd suggest to the owner to put a hand held shower head in there as I am 5'1 and it worked well yet my 5'5 daughter had to duck to get head wet. Lol. My stars came down also as the hot tub was super cold and the pool was barely warmer than the hot tub. Yes the pool was warmer than the hot tub. Location was amazing. You can drive onto the beach next to building. Quiet neighborhood and it was just off the main highway yet close enough to shopping and seaside. Note to others who want an affordable easy snack etc, order off the kids menu hummas plate mac and cheese etc from the Mcmenamins next door. Overall I'd love to stay at Gerhart by the sea again!

Great Views

We really enjoyed our stay here in October. The area was nice and quite and the views from our 4th unit were amazing. We would stay here again for that purpose alone. The kitchen was sufficient for our needs. The shower head is very low so tall people beware. Wifi was really hit or miss, and I would plan in the future to just use a hotspot and not bother with the Wifi. The beds were ok but not what I would be returning for. The loft was fun to have and I could see it as a highlight if you have a single adult or older child in your group.

Fantastic Spot!

This property was exactly as advertised. It had a beautiful view of the beach from the balcony, extremely comfortable beds, a decently stocked kitchen. The loft made it a perfect place to stay with our adult daughter. Definitely would recommend.

Our stay was fine, not exceptional, not bad. Outdated everything. Bathroom was pretty tough shape. Mold and mildew around shower, toilet, cabinet, floor. We were there to pretty much sleep, so was ok, but could be so much more...was an awesome location.

Great location

This listing was perfect for 3 adults + 1 teen. It was clean and comfortable and we really appreciated the luggage carts. It would have been nice to have had more than 1 dishcloth and dish towel. We ended up using more paper towels than I would have liked. Good Assortment of pots and pans but no decent knives for chopping. In the future I’ll bring my own. Would definitely book again.

Lovely, comfortable little perch

I loved this space. I wish that I had come better prepared to cook on site. It was well equipped for a self-catered stay and I cook so much better than McMenamins! ;-) "Next time!" Somehow I was under the impression that this space was only a one bedroom. I wish the description that I read originally made it clear that there was the little loft space. Maybe I missed it somehow. My friend (who decided to join me on this trip late in the game) got a different room because I was under the impression #700 was a one bedroom. Realizing that we could have stayed together was a bit disappointing. "Next time!" I look forward to coming back to Gearhart and I would specifically seek out and request #700 if it's available. Thanks very much for the opportunity to enjoy my stay in Gearhart.

Weekend stay

This property is just a short walk away from the beach and has a wonderful view from the balcony. Check in is at the mcmenamins across the street and is quick and friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our girls trip at this property and are looking to stay again at a later date!

A short trip to Seaside but far from the noise and crowds!

Perfect location. Walking distance to the beach, a beautiful view from the fourth floor. Everything we needed in the kitchen. We loved it.
