La Hacienda del Sol I es un condominio frente al mar de cinco pisos en la hermosa playa libre de automóviles de New Smyrna. Disfruta de la puesta de sol en tu propio balcón privado o recoge conchas marinas a lo largo del océano. Las familias disfrutarán de la gran terraza de la piscina con piscina frente al mar, piscina para niños, canchas de shuffle board, parrillas de gas bar-b-que y casa club. Bad review

The condo was very dirty and needed to be updated. The mattresses were horrible and the water pressure was low in the bathroom. The sink was filthy and the condo had not been cleaned. The floors were nasty and the bedding was not up to standard.

Great view!

Loved the view from this condo, and everything about staying at Hacienda Del Sol was easy and fun. The kitchen could use a few more pots and pans, and the bathroom could use more light. All in all, I enjoyed my stay.

Very pleasant

Condo was exactly as shown on web site. Nice and bright, Bathroom could use an update but otherwise we loved it! Awesome view. The property was very beautiful including pool area.

Desperately needs updating

I don’t usually leave reviews but felt necessary to leave this one. First, the good. The people at the office at ocean properties were very nice. And the view was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, that is where the good stopped. This place is extremely run down. Like lamps and curtains yellowing. The screen door is broke. The place smells like a musty basement. Curtain in living room is broke preventing curtains from closing completely. Bathroom floor looks like never mopped. So much dirt in the cracks I wouldn’t go barefoot. And the bottom of my socks were dirty from walking around in them. Living room floor sandy. Bedroom sheets looked so old that I went and bought our own bed coverings and pillows. Hairdryer had what looked like toothpaste all over it. The place simply looks like hasn’t been upgraded in 20 years. Kitchen cabinets feel like they are going to fall off. To top it off there was drilling/construction next door. Even at 830 pm at night. We almost just left but stayed some of our stay leaving early. The place has potential just severely needs an upgrade.

Needs updating

Nice location.. but placed smelled and could never get rid of the smell. Towels need desperate replacement. Other things in place need updating Will be in New Smyrna Beach again, but not in this unit.

Renter beware

I have never had such a disappointing experience and have never left a negative review for any home or condo rented through VRBO. My husband and I rented this condo to be near our son and his family during the holiday season. It was apparent upon entering the condo that pictures don’t always represent the true condition of a unit. The walls looked as though they hadn’t been painted in many years. Some of the walls actually showed rust where paint had worn away. Most moldings showed deep scuff marks and doors were actually chipped. The tile floors while free of debris , showed footprints when you walked across them from dust or residue? When we arrived, the lamp shades on 2 of the 3 lamps in the living room were completely lop sided. One from the lamp being shoved against the wall and the other was just crooked. The 3rd lamp had a straight lampshade but didn’t work. But the very worst thing was the bathroom floor which was filthy dirty. There was no floor mat or rug to step on when you got out of the shower. My husband went out on day one and purchased 2 oversized floor mats to cover as much as the floor as possible. The toilet seat had a sizable chip in it. The bedroom which was tastefully decorated had 2 full size beds. The mattresses were unbearable and difficult to sleep on. The frames of the mattresses were metal. The “bonus room” which had some type of bunkbed in it was nothing more than a walk-in closet. Sinks in the kitchen and bathroom were clean of debris but nothing shone the way you would expect something recently cleaned. The kitchen was devoid of anything needed to bake and required another run to the store for disposable aluminum pans. We found one frying pan no more than 8 inches wide and had to make do. I could probably go on about how inadequately the kitchen was stocked but why bother. The outdoor balcony was very spacious and offered a spectacular view of the ocean. But once again, the plastic furniture was filthy and had to be washed with soap and water before we could sit on any of the chairs. I took pictures of everything I mentioned and would be glad to share them. The building and grounds were well maintained and this review should not reflect poorly on them. But unless major improvements are made to that condo unit it should be pulled from the VRBO website.

Fabulous view

Although the unit was only one bedroom it accommodated my family, having only one bathroom was a little tricky. We had a great time and are definitely coming back.

Vacation at New Smyrna Beach

I would give an overall review of 5 stars. We loved the location of the condo, the view of the ocean, and restaurants in the area. The property manager was very accessible and we hope to come back. We would rent the same condo again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We realized it is an older property, but it is well kept. The unit isn't really updated, but that doesn't matter to us.

Great location

A friend recommended this condo to us. The location was perfect. No beach traffic. Two pools with grass. Just near enough to town. A good view of the beach. The decor is a little dated but beachy and comfortable.

Beach get away weekend.

Over the condo could use so updating. Just to give it fresh look. The ice marker is slow making ice and it had a funny taste in it. Over all the condo is very nice.
