El campo de golf de fama mundial en Bandon Dunes está a poca distancia en auto por la autopista 101, y hay muchas zonas de senderismo y paisajes a poca distancia en coche.

This is a lovely house. Very well stocked with anything you may need. Close to the beach and downtown Bandon. We would definitely stay here again.

Over all the house was okay, definitely could tell it was old and been used as a rental years. Futon/couches were either too stiff or springy for couches but worked as beds. The only view of the ocean is upstairs and we had to climb on the roof to clean them to see anything. Upstairs windows were missing screens (except the bathroom) and one window wouldnt stay open and wasnt useable. We didnt use the fireplace and 2 out of 3 heater vents worked in the living room.Tons of stickers up front and caught in our dog paw, back door doesnt stay unlocked. Pre made alot of our food so we didnt utilize alot of the kitchen. I did try to make cinnamon rolls one morning but the lower oven didnt really work. I gave up and cooked them in the upper, it did burn a little but we enjoyed them. The deck in the front felt very wobbly and boards were visibly bowing in-between the weak moving joist. The ramp in the back gave alot and made aweful sounds when walking on it. I kept being told, from the first day, that someone would come look but no timeframe could be given so we didnt go down to beach as much as we wanted in case they were coming as I didn't have service on the beach. Disappointed over all.

Wasted my vacation

Charming home in great location next to the most beautiful coastline in the world

The Mermaid house feels very warm and welcoming, decorated with original art, and with all the needed amenities. We were able to walk to the incredible beach in 2 minutes, and the downtown in about 10. I loved the huge dinner table, which is great for a large dinner party, or for puzzles, games, spilling out agates found on the beach. We would definitely stay again!

Great location

The house suited aur needs. The info stated there was a fire ext. but we never found it. The tv directions were inaccureate and misleading. A call took care of the info we needed. The house leads you to believe HBO and other stations are available but you must have your own login. There were DVDs but no player. We were there for outdoor activities so this did not interphear with our stay. The games were a jumble so we did not check to see if all parts were there. The bath/laundry room shdes were very dirty so we just lift them closed. The house was good for us. Pleanty of sleeping room, hot water, and working appliances which is what we needed! Would stay again.

Nice house near the beach

The bathrooms were very nicely decorated with nice artwork throughout the house. Nice washer and dryer and very nice and well stocked kitchen. Beautiful hardwood floors throughout the living area. The bedding and linens had been cleaned with perfumed, laundry detergent and the furniture, even though still functional, is worn and unappealing. Overall we enjoyed our stay in this beautful part of the country.

Great stay in a great town - Housing for 4 adults and 2 dogs

Very spacious property for our group with everything you need. The massive table and countertops made cooking easy. We appreciated the clam knife stocked in the kitchen.There was plenty of towels in the house, though the ones in the upstairs bedroom had a musty smell to them - not sure if it's because the house can get damp or the there are so many towels, not all of them get washed regularly.Also in the upstairs bedroom, one of the blinds is jammed and only closed halfway, making it hard to sleep in on a sunny day.There are many light switches scattered across the living room/kitchen area. It will be helpful to have visible labels because it took our group a few minutes to find them behind the appliances.While the kitchen was well-stocked, we found it to be very budget friendly...notably the knives were not sharp, paper towels were not very absorbent, and the dishwashing gel made it really hard to get the suds you need to clean your dishes well. Please upgrade!Aside from all the critiques, we really enjoyed our stay. You can't beat the price for a house this large and only a 5 minute walk from a dog-friendly beach.

A great little house with almost everything we needed.

We stayed here two nights during our road trip. Pros: spacious living room and kitchen, laundry room, great showers, a quick walk to the beach.Cons: missing a few kitchen supplies we needed (foul, plastic wrap, or something similar), upstairs bedroom was missing screens and the picture window blinds did not fully go down. We traveled with our four children aged 7-12 and we all slept comfortably on the various futons and beds. We would absolutely stay here again and we were sad to leave so soon.

Gorgeous location, sweet place, a couple challenges

This place is great, and exactly as described. I went with a colleague to get a week of work and to do a beach photo shoot, and while it was blustery cold and windy on Saturday, we lucked out with gorgeous light for beach time on Sunday. Check-in was easy, and the price was right. The only two annoyances, which hopefully have been resolved since: 1) When we arrived we saw clearly the kitchen sink was in the middle of being serviced, the cabinet doors open, and everything that usually goes under a sink, out on the floor. No big deal. But then on Saturday morning, while we were in our robes and drinking coffee, a guy pounded on the door, saying he was there to fix the sink. And seemed to think we were about to check out, when we actually had another 24 hours left. We asked him if he could come back after our stay, as the sink was working well enough. He agreed.2) And then--the smoke alarms went off--twice, apparently provoked by steam from the shower? We dismantled them, but the sound was intense, & it was hard to get them down. Then we got a text message from Vacasa saying they had gotten complaints from neighbors about excess noise coming from our rental? The only thing we could think of was the smoke alarms? We were literally silent in there... as quiet as any guests could be. SO these were minor annoyances, but notable. I recommend an 11 AM or 12 pm check out time. 4 pm check in and 10 am check out doesn't give a lot of time.

Damp week

Overall it was fine, the large living area is nice. There was a leak in the roof into one of the bedrooms which made the room feel cold and woke to condensation over everything. Couldn’t get the wood stove to light, and the heat never really warmed. Luckily we were prepared for rain and had layers.

Location was fantastic! Beautiful walk to the beach. Lots of dinning area, easy to enter home ramp in the back made it convenient for my elderly mother. Nice walk in shower also helpful for mom. We really enjoyed our stay

Absolutely Perfect

We fell in love with the Mermaid House. It was clean, the beds were actually very comfortable, had great amenities and a huge kitchen. We had two large puppies with us and they had so much room to run and play. Loved that there was a carport so we stayed dry while loading and unloading. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone. Thank you for making our stay amazing!

Spacious and homey

My absolute favorite home to stay in Bandon! I have stayed here quite often. It is in a terrific location. Very spacious and close to old town. I always feel at home here and highly recommend it!

A Wonderful Week

We had a really good time. The location - just a few blocks from the beach was great. The kitchen was well stocked and there was so much room in the kitchen and dining area. The beds were comfortable. There was a need for kindling to make the wood stove easier to start.
