Lack of information

The property was excellent. My dissatisfaction is with VRBO, we were not informed that there would be daily construction happening at our property and that the pool bar would be closed during our stay. Almost every day of our vacation we had to endure the excruciating sound of chain saws, we would leave the resort daily to avoid the construction. Also lack of response, Prior to our vacation I sent three emails to the provided email address asking for advice on water taxi’s and golf cart rentals and received no responses. Very disappointed with VRBO, not at all impressed.

Loved all the amenities

This was a comfortable cozy stay. With many wonderful extras. The location was far enough from the busyness of San Pedro but still within golf cart accessibility if you desired to go there. If you snorkel, go to the end of the dock and enjoy the snorkeling ( angel fish etc) . The pool was a nice addition also

Entire property was extremely clean,staff were readily available for the minor problems ( tv ) . Totally relaxing,unit was outfitted with all things needed for our stay .If ever staying at Amburgus caye again would not hesitate to obtain lodging at this resort

Gladiolus #30 is the only place I’d stay again!

This condo was perfect. Close to the pool, convenient parking at the bottom of the steps, great air conditioning, nice TV when it’s too rainy to go outside and all the appliances you’ll need! The neighbors we met were so nice and it was always so quiet and peaceful! I highly recommend this condo! Plus, it has a washer/dryer combo which was fantastic! I loved the balcony too!!!

What an awesome place!

Perfect combination of relaxation and convenience

Just me and my husband for this trip to San Pedro. Rented a golf cart to get around for our five day stay, it’s a must and worth it for the location of the condo. Did a snorkeling adventure with Suya tours located super close to us. The condo was stocked well for kitchen needs, plenty of things to use. Really close small convenience store for basics so you don’t have to go into town. AC units runs well to keep you cool at night. Laundry unit was very nice to have. Got lucky to find a small sewing kit in the kitchen drawer when my bikini strap came undone our first day there! We loved having the pool, palapa, cornhole and ocean right out the front door. Also took king walks each morning in all directions on the beach and the road. The neighbors are nice and it’s a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere at Caribe Island.

Great off the beaten path resort

Property is fully stocked, dock on the sea, great pool, kayaks, beach clean, safe area, quiet relaxing hammock on beach. We were here a month and enjoyed our stay, had golf cart to get around, road is under developed but that's on the government.

Just what I needed

I spent one night here & it was just what I needed -- a clean, quiet place with amenities such as AC, kitchen, towels, etc; even a washer/dryer which I did not need for my short stay but definitely handy. Sylvia was very helpful. Would come back & recommend to others!

Wonderful stay in a relaxing resort

We stayed in Gladiolus #30 and it was a beautiful apartment. We're so glad we chose to stay here for our 9-day stay in San Pedro ... it's a very quiet, calm and relaxing resort with not many other guests. The pool is lovely, and there are hammocks on the beach. Very tropical! A golf cart is absolutely essential for getting around as it's too far to walk to downtown and there are limited options nearby (but that doesn't detract from the resort - we loved it!). The apartment had everything we needed. I'd thoroughly recommend staying here! Our only gripe was that staff communication wasn't great. It was a bit stressful trying to organise with the local manager about taxi service offered through the concierge service, the check-in time, arrival, etc, as our emails and WhatsApp messages would go read and unanswered, and I'd need to follow up a couple of days later, each time! If it weren't for the poor communication, I'd have absolutely given 5*.

LOVED the condo & the Covid testing at the AIRPORT (winner!)

Hi! I visited as an experienced solo black female traveler celebrating my milestone 40th bday, on a first time trip to San Pedro Isle (but not Belize). I did not have a good experience with the property manager, Ana Lausen. I received her contact info months in advance for my trip. She barely responded to my email communications until the day before I was to arrive, after arrival, she repeatedly told me on Whatsapp about how expensive my requests were (personal chef for my bday dinner, solo Mayan pyramid tour) I never requested her financial advice & expressed that I had no problem paying the excursions/experiences I requested. I found our interactions flakey & insulting as she would offer substitute activities that were cheaper & not in comparison to my requests. Nothing I did was scheduled through her. The ONLY thing Ana did for me was setup my golfcart and have Michael meet me to show me the condo & how to navigate from the airport. Everything after that first 12 hours of arrival, & I completed on my own. I read the condo manual, ordered freshly baked cinnarolls & booked a massage with Ocean Essence Day Spa in town (an ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL experience, ask for Shaila).. about the condo, the location is perfect, only 10min ride (golfcart) from the center of town. You are in walking distance from several restaurants in South isle & a grocery store. The Beach is walled off for the tides and there are stairs into the water, and the docks are right in front of the pool. There is a lot of sea grass at this end of the island. This Condo was CLEAN & THEE BEST stocked vacation home I EVER stayed in (& I travel for work in the US). There were supplies for cooking, seasonings, pot & pan options, snorkel gear, laundry & A/C, comfy full-size bed and queen futon (living room) & even thought it was just Me, that place could have comfortably fit 4 ppl. I would highly recommend this location & have already started making plans to visit again! When you visit, PLEASE check out Ocean Essence Day Spa (Shaila is THE BEST for a deep tissue/full body scrub over the open water), Felicity Sailing (amazing family owned catamaran for snorkeling, day sailing to HolChan/Caye Caulker, and swimming with the sharks, ask4Sara & Captain Horace), Happy Island Beach Bar & Grill @ BEAUTIFUL Secret Beach (north isle, ask4Eric-bartender), Island & Sea Adventures for excursions(by Gill-E's PourHouse, Ask4Maya). I had an amazing time & made friends! Tell em Mel Sent Ya!

Bargain

Very clean and well manicured. Everything we needed. Amigos Del Mar even came to pick us up at our dock for our two days of diving. We rented a golf cart for the week. A little store just south of the property was handy.

Caribe Island Resort

Very quiet and relaxing. Sylvia is extremely thorough and professional. The complex was a bit more out of the way than I realized, but that is excellent if you are wanting to be alone. The condo was very comfortable.

Our honeymoon in San Pedro was terrific. We had many great adventures that took us all over the island and beyond. Coral Reef Condo #30 was an excellent place to stay. The location offers a relaxing atmosphere away from the bustle of town, yet remains close enough to enjoy mostly everything the island has to offer. Fine dining, exciting nightlife, as well as quaint markets and shops are but a short ride away. Our condo was cool, cozy, and complete with pretty much all we needed to feel right at home in the tropics. We sat poolside, cooked out on the grill, and enjoyed many nights hanging out among the island's friendly, wonderful people all while in absolute comfort. If San Pedro is your destination, we would recommend staying at Coral Reef Condo #30.
