Great Time in Perla Marina

We had a great time. Kids took full advandage of the pool, we've enjoyed horseback riding at the nearby equestrian center, delicious food at Natura Cabana and gorgeous sunsets at the community beach. Jose, the property manager was very nice and responsive whenever we needed him. Overall, a very positive experience.

A beautiful place to be

The villa is ideal with small children - including the super pool. The villa is very spacious and the whole neighborhood is very quiet - apart from the occasional dog barking. It is very close to a beach and Cabrete is just a few minutes' drive away.

Tranquil and relaxing location

The house was a short walk to the beach and we enjoyed the two restaurants that were within walking distance. We didn’t need a car because we hired a taxi and we speak Spanish so it was easy to get help. The pool was very enjoyable.There wasn’t condiments like we have found in other Vrbo. We did have an issue with the safe and the owner said he would replace it.

Home away from home

It surely felt like a home away from home. The community is extremely safe and guarded. The private beach is a 5 minute walk. Very tranquil and beautiful. Great vacation stay for those with kids. Thank you for opening up your home to us…we will be back soon!

As beautiful as in the pictures

We loved our stay at this property - great comfy beds and air-conditioning made sure we slept like babies - good showers (feels great after the beach) - beautiful outdoor area with clean pool - great communication of manager and owner - the gated neighborhood felt safe - only a short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen would recommend highly!!!

Great house and property

My husband and I rented Bob's house for 3 months. We really enjoyed our stay. The house is very spacious and comfortable and the covered outdoor eating/sitting/BBQ area and pool are lovely. Having use of a cooler and the beach chairs were a nice treat. Bob and his property manager, Jose, were very responsive to any questions and/or concerns. Thank you for a great stay!

Enjoyable stay

Very spacious villa. Had trouble finding the property and none of the staff that I asked knew where it was located nor could follow the directions given to. Water in pool was only warm on first day.

Was there for 7 weeks, nice place could use some updating

Bob's place is in a good location. The villa would be better with some updates but was very livable. Beds were comfortable, having a pool was great for the grandkids and us on warmer days and nights. The backup for power outage was essential as there were outages almost every day, thanks for having that available. The walk to the beach was easy and the amenities around Perla Marina were great. Italian and BBQ restaurants had good food. Jose the property manager was great to deal with. Overall was a good stay

2022 DR trip

The house is vey nice and accomadating. We had two adults each with our own suite and had plenty of room for more. The house is located within walking distance of Ceiba (a great restaurant) and the beach. The only negative was the construction next door. Jose the property manager was very attentive and checked in on us several times during our visit. We will definitely consider it again on our next trip.

Beautiful Villa !

We had an excellent trip, Jose in charge of maintenance was always helpful and had many great suggestions. We hope to visit again some day, the location was ideal right in between Sosua and Cabarete minutes walk from a beautiful beach. The villa was large and spacious great for a family or a group of friends. The garden was beautiful with large palms and coconut trees. Great pool for cooling down after a hot day on the beach. Definitely will visit again. Thanks Bob for sharing your villa with us. Liz and Steve, from Canada.

Great place near Cabarete

Bob's house in Perla Marina was the perfect location for our family vacation to Cabarete. Perla Marina is a closed neighborhood that is private, quiet, and very pretty. It is also only about a 5 minute drive to Cabarete and 10 minutes to grocery stores in Sosua. There is a small, nice beach in the neighborhood. It's not great for swimming, but other bigger beaches are within a short drive. The house was spacious and comfortable for seven of us. We loved relaxing on the back patio and by the pool. We will definitely try to return!

Overall Beautiful Property

My family and I stayed in Bob's Villa over a week. We visit Dominican Republic on a regular, but this was our first time staying in Puerto Plata. The villa has everything needed for a long or short stay. Bob had great communication from beginning to end and Jose the Property Manager was always readily available when needed. There is a pizza parlor around the corner which we enjoyed and a small grocery store next to the pizza parlor. My family and I felt very safe in the neighborhood. There is security 24-7 which is a relief. We will definitely be visiting again, and Bob thanks you so much for such great hospitality!

My Happy Place!

I have stayed in Bob’s Villa many times and each time there are beautiful improvements! The bedding, towels bathroom and kitchen always clean. The washer and dryer new. The beach within a 5 minute walk, just stunning! I’ve always felt safe walking there at night to watch the sunset and grab a bite or beverage at Natura Cabana! I’ve come to love this piece of paradise. Bob and Jose always quick to respond to my questions or concerns! I will be back and thank you mi amigos❤️

The place itself is clean and beautiful, but it needs to have its own backed up generator. It seems that the villa gets its electricity only through the state electrical grid. as a result, almost every day of my stay I spent a good portion of the day without electricity

We are sorry about the electric issues during your stay. Our house has solar panels and back up electrical batteries so your review is misleading as the lights, tvs and appliances were functioning. Unfortunately the Dominican Republic’s grid can be sporadic at times and they don’t give us notice. We are sorry about the inconvenience and if we have continued disruptions we will look into a backup generator.
