Close to the beach, but so little natural light

Pros: This house was spacious, had a fairly well-stocked kitchen, and great proximity to the beach and downtown Manzanita. Cons: Because of the design and the placement on the lot, it has very little natural light. Despite being there during beautiful summer weather, the house felt dark all the time. Mattresses were uncomfortably soft.

Newer house but needs a lot of work

We stayed for 4 nights over the 4th of July weekend. The house is a short walk to the beach which was nice and had a good amount of room for 6 of us. However, the house is done as cheaply as possible. The carpet isn't tight on the floor and has large ripples that older people could trip over. I saw this review from Cynthia a year ago, and we all had the same issues, so they haven't fixed anything. "While it is a newer house, it has not been well maintained. The carpeting, dishwasher, barbecue, and a broken bar stool all need attention. There is an odor upstairs that may be from the carpeting. The yard has no landscaping. The key is in an archaic mechanical box that was jammed." The odor for us was not upstairs but the garage smelled horrible, there were no chairs on the back patio, the key was impossible, the fireplace was broken, the curtain rods crooked and two of them falling off the walls. Not only is the yard not landscaped, but they are building a house very close next door and the workers were pretty much in the backyard on the edge. They were there working at 7:45 am on the 4th of July. Also, the photos shows a beautiful front of the house, but when we got there, there are construction cones and tape on the railing blocking off part of the front yard. It worked for us, but definitely wasn't a nice vacation home. We spend all of our time at the house my brother and his family rented.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was clean and the beach is just 5 minutes away. A bigger tv would have been nice.

Perfect for a Family Gathering

Our two sons and their wives gathered in Manzanita to celebrate a family member’s life. The house was perfect for six adults. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary service-ware and cooking equipment. Cozy place! As an added bonus, the beach was a short walk from the house.

Freezing upon arrival/No TV

This home has individual wall mounted heating in each room and every thermostat was turned down to 50 degrees upon arrival. When 5/42 hours of our vacation is spent freezing it is not a good thing. Also, one of the heaters didn't work at all in one of the bedrooms so that room was cold the entire time. While we were able to get internet on our devices, we were never able to get it to work on the TV. Numerous other little things wrong as well such as bathroom door handle fell off.

Great house!!

This was a wonderful, large space. We loved our rooms and comfortable beds. The whole house was comfortable! The only issue was with overly perfumed sheets. If the laundry detergent or fabric softener was less aromatic that would be greatly appreciated! The house was on a short quiet street and had an open field on one side. It was a 15 minute walk to downtown via the beach. We loved this place and definitely hope to stay again!! Great selection of games, great options on the TV, and kitchen tools and pans were adequate.

The house was quite comfortable, and the cleaning staff had clearly done a good job; however, the dishwasher does not work (it's full of mildew and did not clean the dishes; we had to wash all of them before and after we used them); and there didn't seem to be any recycling or food composting facilities. In 2022, we're still throwing recyclables in the landfill? I ended up driving back to Portland with all of our recycling in the car.

Vacation in Manzanita

We enjoyed our stay at Sea Breeze.Nice big spacious house with plenty of room for 5 adults and one child.Close to the beach and easy walk into town.We like Manzanita because it’s low key and less busy than Cannon Beach.Lots of fun!

Family getaway

Week on the Oregon coast with family and friends. We loved this house! Great location. Easy walk to the beach, husband walked to the golf course to play every day! Plenty of room for all 8 of us to sleep, eat meals together and visit. Such a great trip. And Manzanita is a wonderful little community that was an easy 10 minute walk...shops, restaurants, ice cream. Great beaches and state parks close by with trails for hiking and exploring too. This house was the perfect choice.

Lack of dish towels, tissue and washcloths

The house was great with a few exceptions, the dish washer did not work, it ran for almost 3 hours. Had to hand wash all dishes and you only supplied us with 2 dish towels. Master bathroom had zero washcloths and tissue boxes would have been nice, purchased our own. Lastly the outside BBQ is an embarrassment, seriously, gross.

Great place - very clean and nice.

We loved the place and had a great time. Definitely recommend it. Only issue was poor/missing information in instructions for the Wi-Fi and we couldn't get it to work for the first half of our time there. A maintenance tech from Vacasa came to help get it working and it was great for the 2nd half. Would definitely go there again!

Home Away From Home

This property was absolutely perfect!! It was the first time that we stayed in Manzanita and we're now hooked, we will definitely be coming back!! The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable! There was plenty of pots and pans to cook various meals, lots of silverware and dishes to eat with which made meals in easy. The house is tucked away in a little nook of an area and gave us the peace and quiet that we craved! The furniture is very comfy and added to the overall coziness of the house! Very nice and spacious!!

Not for our foursome

Sadly, the property did not live up to price-point expectations and prior reviews. Kitchen was not well appointed. Two wine glasses, limited cookware and serveware, and no coffee. This is the first property we've stayed in that didn't include at least a welcome pack of coffee. Leftover salt, pepper and oil and vinegar could be found in the pantry. A single kitchen towel and dish cloth were provided. We ended up using hand towels from the bathrooms to supplement. The house was spacious, with a very comfortable couch and great fireplace (with terse instructions to NOT use it for heating the house). Beds were as reported in prior reviews - really soft. The master bedroom had a strong odor of mold and wet dog, which made sleeping uncomfortable. Location was just fine - a 5 minute or less walk to the beach and close enough to walk to town if desired. The house was lacking that welcoming, comfortable beach house feeling that Oregon Coast vacation renters expect at this cost per night. We've rented many houses over the years, and unfortunately, this property did not leave us with a desire to return.

Well equipped and clean home.

Spacious clean home with well equipped open kitchen and updated appliances and washer/dryer and 5 min. walk to the beach. Only concerns is that all 3 upstairs beds were extremely soft and uncomfortable for all 5 guests. The outside grounds need some weeding and upkeep.

Spacious and great location

We were never at the Oregon Coast before and weren’t sure where to stay. This house was the perfect location for us. It is about a half mile to Manzanita’s downtown - a nice walk via the sidewalk or beach. It is also one block to a gorgeous beach and close to many excellent hiking trails. The house is spacious and the kitchen well equipped. The house doesn’t have any food supplies at all, but there’s a larger supermarket just off 101 in Manzanita and a smaller one downtown. You can get everything you need in these shops.
