Very nice house over all.

House is very nice. I expected to not even use the ping pong table but we played daily. The hot tub works really well and the view from the tub is phenomenal. The only critique I have is the owners left their family pictures up. It made the home feel like we were just staying at someone’s house instead of a vacation home to enjoy. It could have also been cleaned a little better, and the Christmas decorations were still out. I’m all for festivities, but it’s June.

Beautiful house in need of maintenance and deep cleaning.

The house was full of dust and in need of a deep cleaning. Vacasa offered to send someone to clean, but it was at a level that it would take a couple of days to clean it and we were not willing to give up our vacation time in the house to accomplish something that is expected at this price point. My family and I decided to clean the most used areas ourselves to make our time in the house more pleasant, but we encountered several instances where we inhaled dust when opening unused areas. Animal hair was in counters and bedding. Main living room couch was uncomfortable and dirty. TV remotes were broken. We couldn't use the Roku stick in the basement TV because it needed an update consent and we couldn't do it without the remote, which was broken. Roku is the only way to watch TV in the house. Ping pong balls were broken/dented, paddles were in bad shape, and some light bulbs need replacement. The house is in a good location and has great views. The hot tub was clean and nice to have after skiing. The house could be brought back to it's past glory with a little love and a lot of cleaning. Just wished someone would have mentioned it before our trip so the owners could have rectified it before our arrival.

Hot tub was great, views were terrific. However, the kitchen and bathrooms were not very well stocked (minimal towels, no dishwasher soap) and cleaning was subpar.

Ski trip

The property and house were beautiful. Great location. My issue is with Vacasa. We were told check-in time was at 4. We got to the property right at 4 and could not get in because the house keepers were still cleaning. Which was frustrating since we had been traveling all day. We got in 30 minutes later. The other issue was one of the bedroom doors got locked and there was not a key to unlock it. We went to the slopes and I called vacasa and asked them if they could get a property manager out to unlock it. They said yes. When we got back from there slopes it still had not been unlocked. 2 of the people we were with had all there clothes in the room and they could not get in to get dry/clean clothes. I called vacasa back and they had to contact the local management of the property. I was then told someone might be able to get it unlocked today if not tomorrow. They would not give me a contact for local management. After a hour we went to Lowe’s and got a key. We called vacasa back and told them we got it open that no one needed to come out. They did not take any of my information this time. A hour later we got a call saying that they were still trying to get someone up there to unlock it. We told them they didn’t need to do that anymore. A hour after that someone showed up to the property to unlock the door which we already unlocked ourselves. I was really disappointed in how vacasa communicated.

Nice house, HORRIBLE experience

The worst experience we have ever had with a rental property. We stayed for 5 days and only had 1 trash bag, 6 bath towels, no jacuzzi towels and no laundry detergent. We spent hours and hours on the phone during our stay and nothing was resolved. Also, the driveway does not get groomed and is very steep. It is impossible to get a 4x4 vehicle in or out of it and is extremely dangerous for children. We had to park on the street and get a ticket. Again, they did nothing to accommodate. The extra linens and blankets were filthy, we were unable to use them. I couldn’t even wash them if I wanted to because they did not provide any laundry detergent or cleaning supplies. Will never stay at a property that has this management firm.

Warm and cozy with beautiful views

Our family of 4 enjoyed staying at The Mountain Jewell. There was ample space with a separate living room area for the kids. They enjoyed the ping pong table and hot tub. The radiant heat though out the house kept us feeling cozy when the temps were extremely cold outside. The kitchen was well stocked for the breakfasts that we made each morning. The drive to downtown and the slopes was less than 10 minutes in the snow. Thank you for sharing your “Jewell” with us. We had a marvelous time!

Amazing Views!

Second time we stayed and we love this home!!! Perfect for our family, very clean, close to slopes and downtown. Comfortable beds, private hot tub. We love the open floor plan on the first floor. Only issue was no heat on second floor (we did find a space heater) and we could not get the fireplace to work. Called Vacasa and they said someone would contact us to resolve and never heard from anyone.

Wonderful stay in Breckenridge

Our family of six - 2 adults and 4 children - had a great 4-day stay at the Mountain Jewell. The home is beautiful and very comfortable. The location is great just a few short minutes from downtown Breck. It's up a windy mountain road and the views from the back of the home are amazing. Our kids loved the hot tub and sitting in the hot tub enjoying the spectacular view was definitely a highlight of our trip. The living room and fireplace were warm and cozy. The TVs were new and easy to use. The beds were great and there was plenty of space to spread out on three levels. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a meal. The only issues we had - and they were fairly minor - were the refrigerator wasn't functioning properly. The fridge and freezer were too warm. There was a secondary fridge just off the kitchen - perhaps because the main fridge doesn't keep temperature - but it was quite small. Just not something we would expect in a home of this caliber. Also, we found the home or more the area where it's located to be a bit loud, particularly in the evening. There was a lot of car and truck traffic in and out of the neighborhood and that noise took away a bit from the experience of being in the mountains. All in all, it's a great house and we really enjoyed our time there.

Clean and easy

Got in late due to rental car snafu, easy to check in and get things figured out. Other than having issues finding the remote for the fireplace and turning it on with a manual switch under the glass, the place was excellent! Hot tub was clean and easy to use.

Perfect place in Breckenridge

Beautiful home! The home exactly what we needed for an amazing vacation. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Plenty of Luxurious towels provided. Plenty of room for our family to relax and enjoy. The hot tub was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable with memory foam mattress toppers. The location of the home is perfect. Close enough to town but far enough away to be peaceful. Everything except the lower level cushion referred to in the previous review have been addressed and in perfect condition. We loved our stay and plan to return!

Beautiful location & quiet. Space for us to gather and have time apart. Beautiful views. Stocked well. When we called for a new Bluetooth adapter for music the property manager responded promptly and was wonderful. We stayed at the Mountain Jewell 3 years ago and were looking forward to coming back. Mostly we were pleased with the home but there were signs of it not being fully maintained. The things that are important to everyday use need help: -Coffee carafe handle is broken -Dishwasher lower rack sticks and falls off wheels every time it’s loaded -Washing Machine has no fab softener dispenser. -Knives are all dull - No cushions on lower level seating -Standard size pillowcases on King size pillows. The details are important.

Great Location

Big property and in a great location - close to everything. Solid property to rent - great views, hot tub and nice open floor plan. We cooked every night and found all the kitchen items we needed easily. Only gave it a 4 out of 5 stars for the little things - not very many towels on the property and we only had 4 staying at the house. House sleeps many more so not sure what we would have done if we had more people. Also what to do with the trash wasn’t clear and it took a 15 phone call to Vacasa to leave a message and they were supposed to reach back out to me with what to do with the trash. No one did and instead the trash disappeared from the garage later that day and I had the same issue 2 days later and just let it pile up in the garage. Would have been happy to take the trash somewhere if they would have told me, but couldn’t get an answer from them. Also ran out of trash bags in the house (clearly we produce a lot of trash :) Otherwise I don’t think you would be disappointed to rent this property. Breck is awesome and we had a fantastic vacation!!!

Ok

Arrived to find we only had six towels, one wash cloth and one hand towel. No dish cloth or towels in kitchen. Found the towels damp in the cabinet with a smell so had to re wash beige use. House really needs a good cleaning. Location was good and close enough to downtown.

Truly a Jewel!!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property. We were looking for a cozy, charming retreat to relax in and that is what we found. The other great thing about this home is the property manager, Ryan. He was wonderful! Any time we had a question, he quickly returned our calls and then would show up within 5-10 minutes to help us out. We had such a good time and felt so comfortable there that we almost cried when it was time to leave. We will be back the very next chance we get!

Breck Unplugged Vacation

Loved renting this home out for a friends unplugged vacation. We were able to enjoy the home and it’s features while still grabbing a couple beers in town if we wanted.

Spectacular

We stayed at this property during the summer. The property, location and views are amazing. The property itself is so well done and wonderful, such a warm and wonderful place to stay. The layout of the kitchen with the dinning and living rooms works great keeping the whole family spending time together. The master suite upstairs is outstanding. The "den" in the basement is superb for TV watching. We will be back. Hopefully for a winter visit! Small note, driving instructions refer to the street as "American Way"; the streets are only identified by county road sign (CR906).

Beautiful home & views, BEST host Ryan!

I've stayed in many host homes through multiple companies, and must say that Ryan was easily one of the best, most helpful hosts I've ever had! He was incredibly attentive/responsive/communicative, and went truly above and beyond to make sure that our stay exceeded all expectations. The house itself was beautiful inside and out (the views!) and we couldn't have asked for a better experience in Breckenridge. The three bedrooms and pull out couch were great for our group (master bedroom is beautiful and spacious!), and the hot tub was the perfect touch to unwind after a day of skiing. Was only about a 10 minute drive into town (we parked at the Gold King lot and the North Gondola lot for skiing) and Ubers were also available. Highly recommend this beautiful home and AMAZING host!
