We arrived Saturday after allowed Check in Time. The property stil had the cleaning crew there- and they refused us entry. I refused to leave- as we had a bunch of groceries we had purchased that needed immediate refrigeration. The crew then rushed through the remaining cleaning. When they left- they didn’t leave a few things they were supposed to- and many items weren’t cleaned. The house just had the deck and a pergola built- but it wasn’t finished. The crew left a stack of 4x4’s in the driveway and a PILE of nails, screws, and tools on top of the wood pile- just thrown on top- so we picked up screws and nails out of drive more than once. We had several minor issues with the place that were annoying but not worth mentioning. But what IS worth mentioning- both bathrooms are Jack and Jill bathrooms- so if booking with another family- know there is no privacy or private bathrooms. Our AC didn’t work. In hindsight it hadn’t worked properly all week- but it was cool the first couple of days. It was one of the smart AC units- so when it stopp working- and the HVAC techs came out-it took 3 techs to find the issue, and then they said that parts would take several days. The tech said they begged the homeowner not to go with the unit, as it has known issues- but the homeowner insisted. We messaged the property manager, but didn’t hear anything back until the following day (Wednesday) which was also the HOTTEST day of our visit. Oak Island Accommodations were kind enough to scramble
