Homes required running dehumidifiers in rooms that were on slab as the moisture from the high rains produced high humidity. I am very sensitive to musty. I am at the home now and it does not smell musty and . Because of the this June, we have installed continuous draining dehumidiers in case we have a situation like this again in the coming years. There are some guests who have an unusually high intolerance for insects like occasional spiders etc. that are part of the Maine environment in clean and well maintained homes. Yes I am sure that if I hunt I will find a spider; generally a Daddy Long Legs. We have smoke detectors. We did change out the dryer that is a small laundry room after this guest. The black feet is apocryphal. I am walking all over the same space and do not have black feet. The guests broke into a locked mother in law and owners space that is not used. Given the extreme response to that which is normal, these guests, honestly, are ones to which we would never rent to again.
