Fantastic family get away

Exactly as represented, fantastic, quiet location, at the end of the road, surrounded on 3 sides by grass marsh. Kayaking, nature, etc was really awesome, owner is very responsive to help with all requests, and our family really enjoyed our quick getaway here

Great Stay!!!

The home was perfect and the owners are great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If you are looking for 'another world' close to society, this is the place. An amazing view of the marsh and hiking trails just down the road. The property and view are amazing yet you are still close to St. Augustine, Jacksonville and the local grocery store. The home was extremely clean and the views are unbeatable!!! The price is right too. If you are considering this property, don't hesitate - it is what it says it is! You won't be disappointed!

Perfect house, comfy beds!

Adorable house with pristine and peaceful environs. The house is on the end of a road, and from the back deck the views go on and on with not a person in sight. Heaven! Perfectly clean, neat as a pin, with all the basics you need to be comfy. Five adults stayed here quite easily, and I am super grateful for the comfy beds. My own bed is a foam mattress, so I struggle to sleep comfortably whenever I travel. All the beds in the house have VERY comfortable mattresses and we all slept great! Thanks for opening your home to us and especially for all the thoughtful touches. We really appreciated it!

Gorgeous setting, surrounded by nature...

The Marsh Inn was the perfect combination of convenient location (15 min from St. Augustine) and secluded picturesque setting. The views were amazing looking out over the marsh each morning as far as the eye could see. Although there was a house on one side the location made you feel as you were isolated from the outside world. The kids loved running out to the dock each day to check the crab traps and the setting got them playing outside more than their normal day to day life. The house was amply stocked with essentials and the owners even left a nice gift basket with thoughtful items which was a great touch. The wind was up most of our trip so we didn't get to use the canoe much, but being able to launch right from the property was a great bonus. A little ways up the road is a nice trail system for light hiking and perfect for taking the dog to explore. Overall, we were very impressed with the property and the owners are very responsive. We would recommend this rental and be happy to stay again in the future. Tommy Pun

Peace and beauty

Finding a Gem

We were thrilled with the location of this house in the marsh. Windows and porches invited us outside to watch birds, light, and tides. New kitchen appliances made cooking a pleasure. The house has a simple layout and decor - just right for us. Hiking in Stokes Landing Conservation Area, across the road from the property was also a treat. We return home with beautiful bird and landscape photographs.

Beautiful, peaceful and functional

We stayed at the Marsh Inn for 6 days and it was the perfect peaceful oasis. Conveniently located while offering a unique and beautiful location. James and Laurie were incredibly kind and helpful.

Best of Both Worlds

Our family had an amazing Thanksgiving holiday at the Marsh Inn. The location was incredible - outstanding natural setting and excellent proximity to the St. Augustine historic district. The house was exceptionally clean and exactly as pictured online. The owners were very responsive and accommodating. Really great experience!

Hidden Gem!

Everything is as advertised. Such a great home and location! You feel like you're in the middle of nowhere but you have Publix, Starbucks and restaurants just a few minutes down the road. The ride to downtown St. Augustine is quick and easy, and it couldn't be better to come back to the quiet and relaxing Marsh Inn after being around the busy tourist areas. Would love to come back in the summer when we can enjoy all of the great outdoor spaces on the property...it was pretty cold and windy during our stay. Thank you to the owners for making our stay so easy, the home had everything we needed inside and out.

Amazing Views and Wildlife!

I'm so glad we were able to stay here for a week in July. Forget the beach, okay not really, but the views from this well decorated and landscaped property are beautiful. The property is very close to downtown St Augustine and a short drive to the beaches of your choice. When you come back from an outing to the beach or dinner out, this property makes you feel like your in a wildlife paradise with its panoramic views of the marsh, the river, and the herons and spoonbills make for great pictures or just birdwatching. The home is lovely and the owner/ manager is responsive when you have questions or needs for your stay! My family and golden lab had an awesome time and we're already looking forward to staying here again.

A Slice of Paradise

This beautiful house tucked away at the end of a quiet street surrounded by scenic views is the perfect family getaway. The relaxing, screened in porch overlooking marshland is perfect for nature lovers. Kayaks and a canoe are ready to use when the tide comes in and beach necessities are provided if you choose to venture out to one of the many beaches close by. The whole family enjoyed it from my 5 year old grandson to my 85 year old father. We will definitely try to stay here again!

Beautiful sunrises and sunsets

We loved the quiet location and beautiful views. The home was clean and the bed was comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the screened patio, but still enjoyed the view from the dining area during the thunderstorms. We enjoyed board games (provided) in the evening and we were able to make a quick trip to Starbucks up the road for coffee. Publix is also very close by. Thank you for sharing your home with us and our pups!

Good, quiet getaway spot with family

Really enjoyed this location. So peaceful in the morning and evenings. Home was well stocked compared to some others we’ve visited. Enjoyed playing Battleship and Dominos! Close to everything we wanted to see in St Augustine. Publix just up the street.

Peaceful Paradise

From a beautiful, well-stocked house (lots of games and books) and timely responses from the owner to a private dock, canoes and crabbing - this place has it all. The screened in porch overlooking the marsh was a perfect place to enjoy morning coffee and the dock was perfect for fishing. House is a short drive to the beach and shops but far enough away to avoid the noise and congestion. I would highly recommend this property.

We loved this property.

We stayed here for Thanksgiving break and it was amazing. The house was stocked with almost everything needed to prepare my dinner and lots of toys for the kids to enjoy. To view is absolute perfection and the location is close to everything but feels away from everything. It was perfect.

Spacious, beautiful place; especially perfect during this time of social distancing

Beautiful piece of property, comfortable accommodations, warm hospitality. Amazing views of marsh and wildlife from every window in house. Private and quiet. Kayaks, dock for fishing, morning coffee, evening wine. Spacious house very tastefully decorated & easy shared space for family of 6. Dog warmly welcomed. Kitchen well equipped w/ basics. Quick, easy trip to grocery & restaurants. We LOVED our time here and hope to return.

Gorgeous and Fun!

Our family of 4 loved The Marsh Inn! We needed a safe and relaxing vacation after our long spring at home. The home was so close to St. Augustine that we were able to do more than we expected. The hosts supplied an amazing home and outdoor oasis, with books on the area, ideas for families, outside activities, etc. We have never stayed at a home so welcoming and will definitely come back!

Christmas vacation

This property is amazing. The views are incredible. It is in a very quiet and private area. The house has everything you need and more. It is very close to St Augustine and just a short drive to Jacksonville. The owners were very kind and helpful. We hope to return again soon!
