I’m very sorry that these issues affected your stay. Regarding the pool, I understand your disappointment. The pool is not heated, and that is not listed as an amenity. Many guests ask about whether the pool is heated before booking and deciding whether to rent the property, because if that feature is important to them, they generally ask in advance. As for the fitness center, when the VRBO ad was created, the amenity selection included yoga mats and yoga blocks, which we do provide. Unfortunately, that appears to have been connected in a way that suggested there was also an indoor gym. We understand how that created the wrong impression, and we are actively working to correct the listing. Because of that misunderstanding, I also offered to cover the cost of a gym membership for the week. With respect to the outdoor shower and beach equipment, I was not aware there were any issues. When I checked the property two weeks earlier, those items were in working order. Had I known during your stay, I would have arranged to address them right away. The same is true for the ants and the garbage. I was not aware of the ant issue, and I would have taken immediate steps to resolve it. The garbage was likely related to debris blowing from a nearby construction dumpster at my neighbor’s property, but if I had been notified, I would have had it cleaned up promptly.
