Somos arquitectos / diseñadores de interiores, y nos dimos cuenta de esta hermosa suite en lo que solía ser una capilla construida en el siglo XVII. La capilla es parte de nuestra propiedad, una típica villa toscana. Nuestra familia es una gran familia y nos encanta invitar a nuestros huéspedes a tomar una copa al atardecer u ofrecer cenas especiales. Tenemos bicicletas de montaña para alquilar, baloncesto para que jueguen los niños y muchas sugerencias para darles a nuestros huéspedes que vivan Florencia como nosotros. En su suite, sin embargo, puede tener total privacidad, puede cocinar en la cocina y descansar al aire libre para tomar una copa.

Esta suite romántica y prestigiosa diseñada con estilo toscano, en la colina más hermosa con vistas al centro histórico de Florencia, se encuentra en el famoso y exclusivo Borgo de Pian de 'Giullari.
La suite tiene 30 metros cuadrados y cuenta con baño privado y cocina. Es el anexo de una villa renacentista, única en su género, y tiene las características arquitectónicas de una antigua capilla del siglo XVII, con fragmentos de frescos, un baño con ducha en pietra serena, una cocina totalmente equipada, un patio privado. con glicinias y una antigua paulownia secular. Una combinación de confort y encanto asegura una estancia romántica e inolvidable, ideal para parejas que quieran pasar una o más noches en silencio pero cerca del centro de la ciudad, con un jardín y estacionamiento. Bien comunicado por transporte público, a diez minutos del centro de la ciudad, ideal para paseos panorámicos y trotar hacia Piazzale Michelangelo y Poggio Imperiale. En el pueblo de Pian de 'Giullari se encuentran el restaurante tradicional Omero, el Observatorio Arcetri y la residencia del famoso Galileo Galilei.

This property is amazing. Everything in the photos is exactly as shown, but even more stunning in person. The property is a little harder to get to so keep that in mind. We aren’t in the best shape, but good enough to walk downhill to Piazelle Michelangelo for the sunset. And daily walked back into Florence. We took taxis back at night because I would not have been confident enough in the dark. There are bus stops right near the house, but we didn’t attempt that. One advice, if you need a taxi in the morning from this property, book it the day before! As we did not do that and ended up walking to multiple bus stops on the way back down the hill towards Florence with our luggage! Until finally a taxi on the app responded and picked us up.Back to the property. The views are amazing. The accommodations are just beautiful and comfortable. I wish we stayed longer. We are huge dog lovers and Loved the two dogs on the property. I looked forward to my greetings and walks on their property with Uva, their young dog! Remember, ‘via’ as this means away! She is very happy and loves greeting people. But she listens well.Francesca, the host was very friendly, gracious and informative. The housekeeper is a gem. We loved her. The place has a small kitchen and fridge that is ready if you want to cook. But, we decided to take the breakfast option. So, we were invited into the family house to have breakfast at their dining room table. This was a very special part of our trip. So welcoming!

Very lovely property for our stay in Florence. The space was beautiful, comfortable, and very quiet which was great for a good nights sleep. The grounds of the estate were equally beautiful. We loved the neighborhood and it was very secure. Our hosts were very friendly and communicative and made our stay a pleasant one. It was nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of the city center, but just a short drive away, and we found it to be the perfect jumping off spot for our many adventures in the area.

Les environs et la maison sont superbes, le parking sur place est aisé et sécurisé.L’appartement est fonctionnel et la petite cuisine bien équipée.Les propriétaires étaient absent et l’accueil fut sommaire, la personne ne parlait pas l’anglais, communication difficile. Pas d’entretien de la chambre en 6 jours (poubelle pleine, essuie et draps limites).Les deux chiens de garde sont gentils mais ils sont envahissant voire effrayant si on a pas l’habitude (sautent, aboient).Taxe de séjour mal renseigné dans le prix.Au final rapport qualité prix un peu limite. Attention aux moustiques et autre insectes, nous avons été dévorés.

Beautiful Spot in the Countryside

The Cozy Nest is a gem of a place nestled in a small village just minutes outside of Florence. My wife and I chose this location so we could have the first couple days of our holiday to adjust to the time change and detox from our busy lives. The Cozy Nest was exactly what we needed. The host went above any beyond and was kind enough to allow us an early check in on Easter Sunday. Their property was absolutely beautify and a perfect spot to watch the sunsets. My only regret is that we didn't spend more time there before moving on to stay in busy locations within Florence and Rome.

A great and quiet place to stay. We stayed here during the 2nd half of October. Francesca and her family are great hosts. The house is well equipped and there is a great garden to relax and enjoy the marvellous view.

Beautiful

It is a very cosy and marvelous location. Parking is great direct on the property. You can leave the car and just take the bus to Florence in about 10 min. The chapel is spacious and well equipped for a short stay! The communication with the owner via Messenger in English is excellent, personally we were greeted by the housekeeper. Communication with help from deepl and google translate was no problem at all. Unfortunately the weather wasn't so good, so we couldn't enjoy the nice seating area in front of the chapel. It was a wonderful stay and we loved every minute.

Florenz Besuch mit aussergewöhnlicher Unterkunft

Diese umgebaute Kapelle ist schon etwas besonderes. Wir haben uns dort wohl gefühlt. Es war etwas schwierig auf das Grundstück zu gelangen. Die hier zuständige junge Dame war zwar sehr freundlich, sprach jedoch weder italienisch noch englisch. In der kleinen Küche besteht die Möglichkeit sich selber Frühstück oder eine kleine Mahlzeit zuzubereiten. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das große, sehr bequeme Bett. Gerade in Ferienunterkünften keine Selbstverständlichkeit. Alles ist geschmackvoll und individuell hergerichtet. Leider hatten wir ein paar Regentage. Die wunderschöne Aussicht und den Garten konnten wir daher nur bedingt genießen. Unser Auto hatte einen Schattenplatz direkt auf dem abgeschloßenen Grundstück. In 10 Minuten waren wir damit direkt in der Stadt. Vor dem Grundstück befindet sich jedoch auch eine Bushaltestelle. Der Bus fährt mehrmals täglich. Das ganz in der Nähe befindliche Restaurant Omero möchten wir nicht weiter empfehlen. Hier passt das Preisleistungsverhältniss nicht und der Service war sehr unfreudlich, arrogant und hochnäsig. Als Gastronomen können wir dieses sehr wohl beurteilen.

Chapel in Florence

This location was our favorite on our 10 day stay in Italy. I loved the Architecture and Interior Design of this renovated Chapel/Apt. With beautiful views of Florence and the close proximity to the city's center; this is a relaxing, and tranquil place to get away. Communication with the owners was wonderful. The son met us at the door with the keys and showed us around. The owner showed up shortly after and was very personable and full of information about the surrounding area. We would stay here again, most definitely. Thank you.

Our arrival process was difficult. The owner was not present but there was a kind woman who did not speak English who met us a few minutes after we arrived. It was not clear which entrance to use. Once we were in we had to send pictures to the owner which took a very long time until we were able to connect to the WiFi. We had a rental car so had to move that from the side entrance to the gated driveway. We drove back down the hill to the gate which would not open and had to be reset. Finally after nearly an hour or so we were settled in the converted chapel. The space itself was lovely. Bed was comfortable. Kitchenette complete and thoughtful though we needed only for drinks etc. The bathroom is quaint but small and the shower itself did have some moldy spots and a yellowed curtain. The bed is a step up so at night we had to leave a light on. The location is not bad;if you have a car you can park at Porto Romano. We took the bus successfully one day. It is very quick and cheap and takes you right to Porto Romano. What was not communicated to us was that the Tour de France which was to happen after we left caused the roads to be closed and the bus service to stop for two days. Overall it is a beautiful spot, the bathroom could be cleaner and the communication and check in process needs improvement. I got a rude message when I asked for a couple of supplies. Definitely dampened by opinion of the place despite the stunning views.

AMAZING PLACE AND A TRUE TUSCAN EXPERIENCE

My husband and I spent two weeks at this property recently in October and it was fantastic in every way. The studio apartment is a separate building with a private entrance situated in the courtyard of an historic villa. The Villa is located in an exclusive neighborhood in the hills of south Florence where other beautiful villas adorn the area. Galileo, the astronomer, lived his final years in a villa just a short walk from here. It’s so cool to think you’re walking the same streets as Galileo did over 375 years ago. The apartment is very comfortable and modest and in my opinion an historical gem. It was the former chapel of the Villa before it was reimagined and renovated by the owners who are both well known architects in Italy. You can feel the history within these four walls with the stained glass windows, carved wooden doors, arched niches, and original ceramic tile floor. They even preserved a part of the original fresco painting on the ceiling and wall. The bathroom and kitchen are studio sized with all the modern conveniences and very adequate for two people. If you’re a couple looking for “robe and slippers” luxury accommodations I would suggest one of the 5 star hotels in Florence but if you’re looking for an authentic Tuscan experience this is a perfect place. Thank you Francesca and Ghigi for sharing your home and hospitality with us. Your children are delightful and we loved Lola.

For us, better than a Florence stay

Do not worry about the accuracy of the owners' listing: It is everything they assure you and much more. We were treated as guests by the family and even some special needs (e.g., storing our carry-ons for a last day in town before heading to the airport) were thoughtfully addressed. We would advise to make reservations at least once at Trattoria Omero, a well-known high-quality restaurant just 3 minutes walk from the Chapel. The food, service, and views are all equally amazing! One small thing to keep in mind: You should know that taxi coverage without using the TaxiMove app can be challenging. With spotty internet in and around the chapel, we could not book a taxi for one event and could not get a taxi through dispatch for an hour on the day of the outing. The hosts let us know how to use the 38-Line local bus, which met almost all of our needs for getting into Florence for connecting buses or a short walk. This was incredibly helpful. This chapel is carefully and beautifully decorated, is spotlessly clean, and is stocked for morning coffee with a kitchenette for cooking your own meals, as well. Other travelers we met who stayed 'in-town' envied our access to quiet, local charm, and the view down into Florence. Having stayed at the chapel, we understand why they would feel that way!

Accueil non fait par la propriétaire, la personne qui nous accueilli ne parlait pas français ! Pas de brochure de sites à visiter à disposition dans le logement. Environnement pas trop entretenu. On avait l’impression d’être seul dans la propriété sauf avec Lola le chien (vieux berger allemand)… Nous n’y retournons pas !

Magical Week in Florence

We checked in with the owners' children. They spoke excellent English and made the process very easy. The first thing we noticed is the view over the Tuscany region from the garden. It was a beautiful site. They shared with us the names of some of the beautiful building you see from the garden and the view from the window in the unit. Our first night we went to the restaurant they recommended that is a short walk from the property. It was so good we ate there 4 more nights that week. We even had friends from Florence come up there and have dinner with us. The unit has a small kitchen but we really only used it to store our leftover meals. There were so many amazing places to eat in Florence. After dinner the first night we walked back from the restaurant, we opened the gates to get onto the property. As we started walking up the gravel driveway with the grass in the center and on the sides, we noticed all around us were fireflies. It was like a fairytail. It was so beautiful and such a magical sight to see. My husband and I just loved the place. We will defiantly go back next year sometime. The location is perfect! We had a car so that made is easy for us to visit other cities and villages from there. We went to Florence, Pisa, Siena, Lucca, Volterra and a few others I can't spell correctly. We felt very safe at that location. I would highly recommend this property and the owners were so kind.

The chalet of a Tuscan villa. What more could you want?

This property is nearly perfect. In fact, the only downside is something you should already know before you book, so it's hard to even call it a downside. It is about a 30-40 minute walk to Florence. There is a bus that gets you close, but navigating the bus schedules can be tricky all over Italy. Furthermore, you could bring a car, but driving in Florence is no easy feat. Also, you can call for and schedule car services or taxis, but cell service can be tricky up in the hills. That said, the walk is INCREDIBLE. My fiance and I walked both mornings, and it was a wonderful start to the day. Everything else about the place is amazing. It's a truly breathtaking property, the chalet is big enough for two people with enough storage for clothing and a small but manageable bathroom. We didn't use the kitchenette, but it was stocked well enough. If you're looking for a villa experience on a budget, this is it.

Property is listed as close to Florence but in actuality you are 15mins from city center with traffic and the one public bus route does not go to city center. Parking in Florence is a nightmare so this location was not ideal for us. As far as the property goes it's listed as having wifi, TV access and bike rentals which none were available to us. Their 13yr old son checked us in and provided a wifi password but not the wifi name and thus we were unable to connect. In addition the TV system was not working and there are no instructions for that. I tried knocking on owner door but no one answered and owner did not reach out to us. Lastly the property was very musty/damp and they tried to cover up the musty smell with highly fragrant potpourri which was overpowering. Because of this dampness, everything was musty/moldy including towels provided, shower curtain and any paper products. Overall i would not recommend this property.

romantic nest overlooking valley

Every night we were home we sat in garden and watched the sunset across the valley. The host, Ghigo was very helpful.

Very nice property with wonderful views

Property was gorgeous and quite convenient getting down to the city as the bus stop is directly across from the gate. Hint hint: Take the 38 bus up and down the hill to the station. C3,C4 and 11 takes you back to the station from Florence. 38 will take you back up the hill. The area has security and they check passports upon arrival. Omero restaurant is a Michelin star restaurant and is very good. Again directly across the street. 3 min walk.

You will choose this property because it is unique, as it was a chapel the proportion of the space is perfect, hight ceiling, frescos, pietra serena details all you dream about in Florence. Pian dei Giullari is a unique place, only beautiful and historical villas and borgos facing Florence. Take a bike or walk to town, or take the bus and in 5 minutes you are in Porta Romana.. Park your car coming from Siena and you will be safe and comortable, ready for the city center life..

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The suite was a chapel, so it is in the middle of a garden, with a nice courtyard, you just see from the bed the Paulonia tree, but nobody can see you. The silence is total. There is a Pozzo just outside your door, so please remember sometime to watering the feeling not to be a tourist but a living in guest.
