This is a stellar location. Most of my stay was sitting outside watching ships and wildlife on the St. Lawrence River. Apt 3 is a bit dark and the location of the bathroom in the the main bedroom is a awkward (as noted by other reviewers). I had a problem with the toilet which was quickly resolved by the owner. The property managers do an excellent job with the yard.

Picturesque exterior with inferior interior

Overall, our experience at the shared house fell short of VRBO standards. While each unit offered private space inside, our particular unit lacked a front door (replaced with glass sliding doors), had no BBQ, firepit appeared on the last day, and the front lawn and dock were monopolized by other renters. Unfortunately, the behavior of neighboring renters significantly impacted our stay with late-night noise disturbances and confrontations with neighbors. Although the outside property was aesthetically pleasing, with a patio table (albeit with mostly broken chairs), the inside of the unit was noticeably outdated and lacking in amenities. Basic dishware was provided, but only one wine glass was available. We purchased and left a new box of glasses in hopes of improving future guests' experiences. Furthermore, the absence of essentials such as salt, pepper, cooking oil, and toiletries, combined with uncomfortable beds and a lack of additional bedding, left much to be desired. Lance was responsive; however, we did have to reach out well past check-in to obtain check-in information. Ultimately, while the location was convenient for our needs, the overall value did not justify the cost. The quality of our stay was heavily reliant on the behavior of neighboring renters, making it a risky choice for future stays. If you can overlook the basic interior and potential disturbances from other guests, the outdoor space does offer some charm, despite unavoidable goose poop.

Hello Joanne, thanks for the review. I sent you message to you early next day morning, asked if you need anything from me and if everything is fine there but I have never gotten a reply from you. there are more wine glassed in the upper cupboard, the sliding door is from original, I didn't change the door, BBQ is right at your patio, which is for your own use. Yes, due to the beginning of the season and low temperature, we had not set up the firepit till temperature is allowed, I don’t want my guests to catch the cold, that's why we set it up on next day when temperature was high enough. For the salt, pepper, oil, body wash and shampoo, we do not supply it, which is also mentioned on the VRBO website, it is because of the different guest’s allergy issue. You also complained about missed bedding, it is in the closet. You are party of two, and there were two beds with bedding on it and only sofa bed's bedding is in the closet, I didn't know you need three beds. Regard to the noise from other renters, and dock were monopolized by other renters; I thought you were joined along with others. All above issues were because of lack of communications, you had neither replied my email nor contact me till I see your review. Please don’t be shy to contact the owner, all these issues can be resolved very easily and quickly. I feel sorry to the above such many misunderstood. I hope you will have good communication on your next vacation, that will turn the problem to a happy time. Thank you again for letting me know now, I will try my best to improve the facility. Lance

Location, location, location! Au cœur des Mille Îles, avec plage et quai pour notre bateau. Site parfait pour nous et notre chien. Par contre, le logement #3 n'est vraiment pas chic! NB La seule sdb est dans l'une des 2 chambres. Donc, pas idéal si vous louez à deux couples. Le propriétaire communique bien.

Well located

Apartment well located in Gananoque on the riverside of the St-Laurence River with a private beach. Lance is a very attentive host. The only negative point is that the bathroom is in one of the rooms. Really not pratical for the occupants of the second room

Nice spot only

The outdoor and the view are perfect! It is a house with 3 appartements in it. Ours was not clean enough and lot of things were missing. Only one glass for a family of 4, the cafetiere were dirty and broken, no wine opener, no cisor, wifi problems, had to ask 3 times for paper toilet. It is old with old tapis….The oven was dirty so smoke went everywhere. Etc. But the view is very beautiful and you have plenty of space outside, chairs, table, place for a fire. A beautiful private beach, a new dock for the boat. Noting negative to say about the outdoor.

Hi Valerie, thank you for your review. these three separated suites are indicated on the website. Sorry, my cleaner didn't check utensils but she brought all you need right next day, and she delivered three time toilet papers to you each time you called, she put two rolls in a clear bag outside of your suite total three times, hope you got it. Low end to qualify for VRBO

Not up to VRBO standards. Had to contact owner the morning of arrival for entry code. Aggresive dog challenged us on arrival. Curtains very thin and missing hooks. Could not close properly to give privacy. Connecting pocket doors between bedrooms had stained glass windows. Bathroom tap only had a trickle flow of water pressure. Spider webs on baseboard heating. Flimsy door lock. Curtain across patio door was not wide enough.
