Esta es una hermosa villa de 1 dormitorio y 1 baño ubicada en el complejo frente al mar de Villas by the Sea. Camine entre los robles o dé un corto paseo hasta la playa de Driftwood. Los niños pueden disfrutar del parque infantil Pirate Ship y para los adultos hay un gimnasio. Cuando necesite refrescarse, hay una piscina para adultos y otra para niños. El complejo ofrece un restaurante completo y un salón. Cuando ingrese a nuestra villa, encontrará una sala de estar de planta abierta, un comedor y una cocina totalmente equipada. Hay un sofá cama para invitados adicionales. Hay un control deslizante que conduce a un patio con asientos. Nuestra villa tiene pisos de baldosas en todo momento y las mascotas son siempre bienvenidas. El dormitorio ofrece una cama queen size y TV.

Tenga en cuenta que hay un acceso limitado a la playa en la mitad noreste de la isla debido al trabajo contratado por la Autoridad de la Isla Jekyll en el revestimiento de roca que protege muchas de las casas a lo largo de la playa, así como nuestra costa. Además, debido al trabajo y la destrucción causados por los huracanes Michael e Irma, se eliminaron todas las caminatas privadas en la playa. Como resultado, el acceso a la playa puede ser limitado o inexistente en el extremo norte de Jekyll.

El acceso a la playa está disponible en Driftwood Beach, Great Dunes Park, el nuevo Ocean View Park cerca del Holiday Inn, el nuevo Corsair Park al lado del Jekyll Club Ocean Suites Hotel, así como los diversos parques en el extremo sur de la isla. Los parques Great Dunes y Ocean View son accesibles para discapacitados. Aquellos a quienes les gusta pasar el día en la playa también pueden probar el acceso a la playa en el complejo de fútbol en el extremo sur.

Quick visit

We stopped on our way from our house in VA to our property in FL. I have been visiting Jekyll for 50 years. It is my happy place. This condo was perfect for us and our two dogs, amazing location and well equipped. The new restaurant at the Villas was fabulous. Looking forward to returning.

Great little apartment

The unit was an end-unit 1 bed/1 bath apartment with a full kitchen. It was in a great spot and will likely stay in the same complex for similar trips to Jekyll in the future.

Nice place

Cozy but great location next to Driftwood Beach. Only thing we didn't like was the configuration of the bathroom door that is ALWAYS in the way. So much so that we just removed it and stashed it away for the duration of the time there. It would be nice if trash bags were provided, too.

Great location

This was a great location. Quiet but close to all things Jekyll Island. People on the property were kind and helpful. We had a power outage due to ice/snow storm. I was impressed how everyone came together and were so kind and helpful. We are definitely returning!

Great location

We loved walking the beaches on the island. The condo was a short walk to the restaurant which had good food. The condo was nice too.

Fantastic time

We stayed seven nights at Villa 401 and had a wonderful time. The little unit was perfect for the two of us and our two little doxies. Close to beach walkway and laundry and a 12 minute walk to beautiful Driftwood Beach. It was magical at sunrise💙. We hope to return next year.

Short stroll to the beach!

Loved the location. Our oldest is an environmental educator on the south end of the island and we booked this trip last minute to visit during spring break. Very clean throughout the entire condo, short walk to the amazing beach and beautiful pool area. We also were able to bring our dog.

Close to water, nice resort amenities

Only 100 steps to water. Resort has on site restaurant. Short walk to Driftwood beach which was really awesome. Loved Jekyll Island. Historic district was pretty neat. Resort has bikes to rent. Nice biking trail on island. Several restaurants and shops on island. Very relaxing.

Great stay for Holly Jolly Jekyll

Had a great stay. The unit we stayed in was lovely and clean. Ground floor was perfect for getting to the beach, bike riding and taking our dog out. We had an issue with the television satellite which was resolved the same day (we knew it was going to be raining the next day so we wanted to make sure it was working and didn't want to call on Sunday). Will visit again!

Hould have been told

Would have been nice if they had let us know, prior to arrival, that Hurricane Helene had wiped out the beach access stairs so there was no on property access. We left early as we booked a condo with easy beach access and management basically told us “oh well.”

Best place to stay on Jekyll Island

We have been coming to Villas by the Sea for years now. This is our Favorite location to stay for the beach access and the quaintness of the villas. It has everything you need. We are never disappointed by our trips to Jekyll Island. I will say for this specific villa we were turned off by the furniture selection. It was all very large for such a small area. We’ve been in dozens of these villas and with space the Murphy bed took up and the coffee table and large dining table it made for a very tight annoying obstacles every day to arrange our belongings with just two adults and one pet. If you were coming with kid(s) I’d say this would be a big pain taking the Murphy bed down, arranging the chairs and moving the kitchen table every day. Now we know the drill, it won’t hinder us in particular to rebook this site in the future. When we originally booked the site showed a couch yet and being in other villas it does give the best space but I understand for cleanliness the reasoning. We made it work and enjoyed it all the same

Beachfront

Great location, on the corner so no neighbor to one side. Beautiful back yard of trees with birds singing. Board walk to beach just a few steps away. Beach not great because it has a barrier and can’t get to the water unless it is low tide. Place was nice and comfortable.

Quick Getaway with the kiddos

The condo is just as described. The only complaint I had ( and I had read before we went ) the pull out bed mattress is terrible. My 12 year old slept fine in it, but it needs to be replaced. The boardwalk is great ( day or night ). We walked to Driftwood beach, which is magical. Pool is great.

Good property

The property is very good. My only suggestion is a softer bed. The bed was very stiff and caused my back to hurt. Other than the bed, the property was nice and very close to the beach. The 2nd key card did not work but that did not affect our stay as my husband and me would leave and return at the same time.

By the sea

It definitely met our needs, close to everything. The condo was updated and for that reason the new paint smell was a little overwhelming. The coffee pot was a little small but that issue was taken care of very quickly. The dishwasher did not operate properly but was being looked into! This is a great place for younger adults and children! We enjoyed our stay!

Very nice! Super clean.

Overall property was great! The only exception were the electrical outlets. They all worked but many would not grip the electrical plug. It took some effort to use the outlet. Failure to grip the plug firmly indicates poor electrical contact. This could possibly lead to overheating and potential fire. Yes, I am an engineer :-)

Would stay again, but have some thoughts!

Price was extremely reasonable. Location was nice. On-site restaurant was delicious. Check in / out process was simple! Condo was small, but plenty of space for 2 people! No lock on back door, just a stopper, but I did feel very safe. Pool is nice. Lots of construction going on, but nothing that bothered our stay! No beach access during high tide because of the rocks, but public beaches are really close!! Things I would note - would not recommend for more than 2 adults. Pull out couch is very uncomfortable! Bring your own hand soap, small coffee filters, cleaning spray or wipes, & extra towels (unless you plan on doing laundry). Small patio & not really a back yard - but lots of walkable areas if you bring your pups! Thanks for having us. Jekyll Island is dreamy!

Nice location

The apartment was clean, close to the boardwalks to the beach. Property managers are quick to try and rectify problems. There needs to be some clarification on the description, and maybe the error is mine. When it stated "Laundry" under the amenities, I took it to mean there was a washer and dryer IN the unit, which is not the case. The laundry is a coin operated facility in the next building unit (we did not bring coin). Simple items should always be in the rental such as a stopper for the kitchen sink and a kitchen towel. Potholders, in case you need to use the oven because the microwave is not working, or if you need to take a hot item out of the microwave. Wall outlets should hold items plugged in, needs new one. We felt this property could use a little TLC from the owners or managers.
