Siesta River Cabin, Riverfront, fabulosas vistas G. W. Bosque, jacuzzi, chimenea

Update: 10/8/23 This cabin has been fully remodeled August 2023. New hardwood floors, new roof, new kitchen appliances, new hottub. View is outstanding. Opened up view of river. Now has internet. Date: June 2019...Upon reviewing this extremely incorrect post, we reached out to this guest. She was totally unreasonable, rude & hung up the phone for absolutely no reason. Her public post of the cabin description is beyond inaccurate. We have been in business for 20 years for a reason. In response to her plethora of lies are the following accurate descriptions of cabin. 1. This cabin is located directly on the river with lots of beautiful mature hardwood trees which add to the ambience, plus steps down to the river for easy access. Not sure why she didn't see the steps in front of her face. 2. Decks are swept between guests when cleaned. Possibly a storm came thorough during her stay & there's a broom on the deck. She could have called me, but did not. 3. Not sure why she was focused on a power line when she had full view of the river & George Washington Forest mountain range across the river. 4. This cabin has a land line for emergency calls only as most people have cell phones. Many cabins do not have phones at all. Most guests' cell phones work but if not, guests are told to bring/buy a $5.00 calling card for long distance. 5. We do not advertise that we have internet as we do not. We have tried petitioning different companies to bring in internet but our area is so rural that it has not happened yet which is also one of the big draws, the remoteness. Guests can always drive over to office and use our wifi plus most restaurants in the actual town have wifi including library. 6. The air conditioning unit is a wall unit, not a window unit which cools the entire cabin but apparently she did not know how to turn it on and off, plus it has a thermostat for setting it at a certain temperature, I suppose she did not know how to set the temperature either. Need to be bright enough to know how to operate appliances! 7. The couch is a beautiful new floral designer couch bought from a local designer. Not sure why she was sleeping on the couch, unless she brought more people than she was suppose to. Maybe the weird smell she is referring to was her own sheets that she brought which may have needed to be laundered. Couch is new and doesn't smell. 8. There is a new smoker/charcoal grill there with an ash catch. Again, maybe she just didn't know how to operate cleaning her own ashes out of it after she used it. Go figure. I would not recommend renting to this person. She's a problem waiting to happen.
