Two days in Rome

The location is great! We were close to the metro, neighborhood is safe and there's a few shops and restaurant that the locals go to.

Nice apartment in a great location

It was awesome.

The place was great. I would like a little more hot water when showering but I guess I’m pampered. The residence is centrally located to all the major site and phenomenal food.

Perfect for what we were looking for

Really enjoyed our stay here. The property is as advertised and very comfortable. Spacious and comfortable layout, and very well functioning AC, something important when Rome is a 100+ degree inferno in summers. We also loved the location. It’s a very hip local’ish neighborhood and less than a block away there are a bunch of great bars, cocktails spots, and exceptional restaurants. A 10-15 min walk from many of the sights, although taxies are great in Rome, especially during the heat.

Will stay again!

This was a great experience. The apartment was fantastic and it felt like we were staying at a friends house rather than a rental. The amenities were all as listed and then some. I stayed here with a couple of friends and made this place our home for 1 week. The check in and out was simple. No Undisclosed fees or charges. Will stay again.

An artist’s apartment in a great neighbourhood

A charming apartment, nicely decorated, in a great location in Rome. Emmanuel did a thorough and friendly check in, although we waited 45 minutes at the door for him to arrive. Our one criticism- not enough toilet paper for a 2-night stay.

Review

Location was great with easy walking to all key sights. Lots of eating places nearby. Only issue we had was with the heating as we couldn’t increase it. Seemed to be set and locked. I didn’t contact the owner so my fault as it could have been sorted. When recommend this place to stay.

the perfect apartment

We really enjoyed our apartment in Rome. The neighborhood that it is located, Monti, is trendy and happening and very close to things like the Coliseum, the Roman forum and the Palatine. Also close to the Bocca della Verite (the mouth of truth!). And there are delicious restaurants and bars super close by. There is a great gelato place a stone's throw away, literally (FataMorgana). The place is clean, easy to use with directions for everything, a handy book that gives you tips and instructions, we had a really nice young lady check us in, and the location couldn't have been nicer. We loved it and would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

Relaxing in the Monti

The apartment was very clean and tastefully decorated. Loved the Monti area. It is near the historical sites of Rome. Nestled in a quieter area. There is a metro station right near by which is convient for traveling throughout Rome. Only problem I had with the apartment was that there were no amenities. Usually in vacation rentals there is a bit of something to cook with like oil, sugar, vinegar etc. not full bottles but enough to get by. Here there was only salt. Luckily there are food markets nearby and great coffee shops.

Lovely Apartment in a Fantastic Location

My family and I spent four nights in this wonderful apartment. An agent met us at the apartment and explained everything to us about the apartment in full detail. He was also kind enough to suggest various restaurants for lunch and dinner. The apartment was ample in size, had a partially stocked kitchen with coffee, olive oil, sugar, etc. as well as soap for the kitchen, dishwasher, bathrooms and laundry. I really appreciated having a washing machine and foldable drying rack! The apartment was located close to a number of fantastic restaurants as well a a short walk to many of Rome’s major tourist sites. One negative would be that there was a smell of raw sewage when you first entered the apartment, but you didn’t notice it after awhile! I would not hesitate to chose this apartment when visiting Rome!

Great apartment right near the Colosseum and great restaurants

The apartment was just as advertised on VRBO. It is a great 2 bedroom and right near tons of restaurants, shops, and gelato options. You could walk to the Colosseum in 10 minutes and be at the Trevi Fountain in 15 minutes. Right near a convenient Metro line at the Colosseum as well. The apartment was very clean and had all of the basic things you need for a short stay in Italy. Communication with the property management company was excellent and we were assisted with pick-up and drop off to Fiumicino Airport which is handy for a family. I gave 5 stars as the apartment was as advertised and the communication was excellent. My only minor points for the landlord/management company to consider would be to buy new mattresses for both beds and to provide a few amenities like coffee, tea, small thing of milk for new arrivals. Overall I highly recommend this property.

Monti is the perfect neighborhood for travellers exploring Rome & this apartment is too ...

The location could not have been better. A few steps from Piazza Zingari where our favorite gelato place happened to be located, and in the middle of the coolest neighborhood in Rome. There are so many unique shops, great restaurants and cafes, coffee bars, ATMS, and several markets to pick up apartment supplies with ease. The most difficult task was to choose which restaurants to try during our 4-day stay. A nice problem to have. :) The space was comfortable for our 4 girls travelling together. We walked everywhere! There is a lift in the building, which is helpful to those of us recovering from knee surgery. Nicely decorated. Free WIFI was nice, too. I would highly recommend this space to any group of girls looking for a nice place to call their temporary home during their stay in Rome.

Great property and location

My family of four spent 5 nights in this property and found it to be a great location to stay in while visiting the sites in Rome. The neighborhood was a fun trendy area with great gelato, restaurant and transportation options nearby. The apartment itself was great. Air conditioning worked well when the weather was 95 degrees all week. Kitchen was small but sufficient, as we ate out most nights but had room for snacks and cold drinks for when we wanted them. You could cook there if you desired. The apartment was clean, bathrooms as well. Comfortable dining/living space. The master bedroom could use a new mattress, but the second bedroom was fine. The washing machine was not working when we visited, but an accommodation was made for the inconvenience. The management company was helpful and professional, an asset when renting this property. I would recommend the property and stay here again when visiting.

Excellent Rome Location

Wonderful stay in the heart of the Monti area of Rome. Our contact, Marta, was a joy to work with. She was EXTREMELY accommodating and offered us excellent advice as first time visitors to Rome (by the way, Da Valentino was one of the best restaurants we visited during our 2 week tour of Italy). As for the flat, it was exactly as described with a funny airline seat furniture piece which was ironic after a 11 hour flight! The amenities were suitable and even had a clothesline (which we actually used - bring your own clothespins). Location was excellent but at the top of a large hill which we got used to. Coffee shop and pizza very close by and excellent! I agree with a prior reviewer to avoid the car service - it was a shabby car, with a rude driver that left us off with all luggage on a nearby vacant street that required us to climb down extraordinary stairs and then up the hill to the flat (he could have dropped us at the front door and I feel he purposely didn't). All in all, a fantastic stay with great service. I highly recommend and hope to be back next year! Thanks again, Marta!

Location, location, location!

This apartment is small, but despite it's tiny size slept 5 comfortably. Our family, including three teens, knew we wouldn't be spending much time at the apartment, so we went with location and economy. This apartment was the perfect fit for those goals. It is very close to Coloseum and taxi stands to launch to other destinations in Rome. Our visit was in July, and it was sweltering. Air conditioning was great in the apartment and it was so nice to come home to a cool apartment after our adventures. There is a small elevator to avoid dragging luggage up to the 4th floor. Decor is cute and includes some "kitchy" pieces like airplane seats and antique sewing machine tables. Check in and check out were easy. manager was responsive and helpful. Master bed mattress was comfortable. It was nice to have access to the little washing machine to get some clothes washed before we departed to our next stop in Italy. Overall, a great stay. The only small recommendation I would have is to provide some napkins and paper towels in the apartment, as we did buy some fruit to eat for breakfast. I would recommend this cute little apartment.

Living in Rome like a local

The property was as shown in the photos. Interesting decor. It clearly is/was someone's home. The location is great. We really felt like we were living in Rome like locals. The apartment hasn't been modernised for a while, so some of the electrical sockets didn't work and the bathroom was a bit "tired" (the detachable loo seats were a feature we could have done without). And being someone's home the beds are not hotel quality. The second bed is too small for two adults (unless a couple in first throws of love), so we had to use the sofa bed too. The sheets were clean, but the duvet (without a cover) seemed a bit grubby. The doorbell didn't work, and we only had one set of keys which caused logistical problems when you have 4 independent minded adults. It wasn't clear in the ad that it was on the 4th floor. There is a lift, but sometimes that was stuck off the ground floor because the doors are a bit flakey and need to be closed by hand. There was nothing supplied to eat/drink in the kitchen Tea, coffee, and bottled water would have been appreciated because we arrived late after local shops were closed. (Offering a welcome pack of basic foods and extra loo roll for an added price as is done in other self catering places where we stayed would be a great additional service.) The agent who met us was welcoming despite the late hour of our arrival (after 11pm) and when the hot water went off the next day came round promptly to fix it. Overall, happy with the stay, but some little tweaks would have made it even better (esp. having more than 1 set of keys).
