The host was very communicative and responsive throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. The apartment is in a convenient location with easy access to the Luquillo area, making it a great base for exploring.The unit itself was as described, clean, and everything functioned as expected. While the elevator was out of service during our stay, we were on the second floor so it was manageable—just something to keep in mind, especially when arriving and departing with luggage.The hot tub was not a hot tub which was disappointing and we did not use the pool but there is a nice view.The only area that could use some improvement is the sleeping setup. The master bed was a bit smaller than we anticipated, and the mattress wasn’t the most comfortable for us, which made restful sleep a little challenging during the week.Overall, we had a positive experience and would consider staying here again in the future.

Hi, we read your review and we have some point I will like to respond: 1. The hot tub is not a hot tub, it was design as a whilpool 2. We have no control over the elevator because that is manage by the administration and the HOA. 3. The beds look small but those are actually queen size. Those matresses we bought to fill our needs. But we decide to list our apartment several months later.

Beautiful 3 bedroom apartment in Luquillo for Family Trips

The apartment was modern with beautiful views. This was our home away from home for 8 days. Jose was reliable, friendly and communicative. We found that there was a lot of nearby activities such as: Los Kiosco de Luquillo, Seven Seas Beach, Luquillo Beach, la Pailas (a natural waterslide), Carabali Rainforest Park for inexpensive horseback riding, El Yunque (Angelito’s trail) and so much more. We will definitely be returning to visit Jose’s home.❤️🇵🇷🏝️🐸🐴🌺

Family Time

We stay in this property for 10 days/ 9 nights and we enjoyed every minute. Very spacious for our family. After a full day of beach/excursions returning to the property and relaxing was critical. Each of my children had their own space to retreat to. Kitchen was stocked with essentials. Jose was very helpful and responded quickly. Would definitely stay at this property again when in Luquillo area. Central to everything we needed.

9 day stay

We really enjoyed our stay, the apartment was clean and had everything we needed. beautiful views .there is a Walgreens and a grocery store up the street . The only thing I recommend that there be a Keurig coffee maker. I also recommend they put in an air fryer, we had leftovers at times and microwaving frituras was like eating rubber. An air fryer would have warmed them better and kept them crunchy.

A Magical Week

We left for the airport at 1:30 am, for a 5 am flight that arrived at 9 am. Jose was kind enough to let us check-in a bit early, as we were so sleep deprived. The property is beautiful, spacious, well-appointed and convenient to everything. We used the pool, went to the beaches and rainforest. We enjoyed Grammy-winning musicians at C Note Jazz Club and BoardRiders, and delicious meals at the Kioskos (Edelweiss and La Parilla). Everyone that we encountered was warm & friendly. Recommend 100%!

Great location

Great Stay with a Few Minor IssuesOverall, we had a great stay at this property. The space was comfortable and well-equipped, making it an enjoyable experience. However, there were a few hiccups. On the second morning, we had no hot water due to a switched-off heater. While we reached out to the owners via text and messaging, we didn’t receive a response until we called directly. Additionally, check-in was a bit challenging due to unclear online instructions. The unit could also benefit from a more thorough cleaning. Aside from these minor issues, everything else was fine, and we appreciated our time here.

Okay stay

Elevator not working, not changing the code to enter when we arrived and calling us at 735pm to say too loud put a damper on giving more stars. Being “overseen”during the stay was not pleasant either.

Hi Sorry for the inconvenience, the time to check in was set at 4:00pm, I was able to allow you to access earlier no charge. Also I received complaints from my neighbors that somebody was talking too loud in my apartment. We have the obligation to call the guest if we received complaints, if we do nothing wie will pay fines to the HOA. You may knew that when you were talking to the board members and exchange phone numbers. Having this privilege to allow people using my apartment for STR, also came with the obligation to ask them to follow the house rules. Remember you may be on vacations, but the neighbors don't.

fell in love with Luquillo <3

The complex is located in a perfect Luquillo spot near the kiosks, beach and highway; and a breathless view. The elevator wasn't functioning 2 out of the 8 days of our stay, it was a bit challenging bringing the groceries through the stairs (it wasn't fun specially a case of bottle water). In addition, the entrance gate was connected to the host's phone, we had a couple of incidents returning late at night and the last 2 days the gate was open; apparently out of order. The pool area was great although the shower was out of order as well. besides those issues, Jose was very attentive and we had a good conversation on the phone. He was open with a few pointers we gave him to improve the facility for future renters. We hope to come back to the island soon, and hopefully stay at Jose's again!

Wonderful experience!

We booked Jose's apartment for a week-long stay in Puerto Rico. The location in Luquillo was perfect for all the things we wanted to do. It was very close to El Yunque, and also a short drive to OSJ and Ceiba (if you want to take a ferry to Culebra or Veijes- which I highly recommend!!) My sister and I were traveling with my two teenage daughters and the set-up was perfect for us. We let the girls have the master suite as it was HUGE (large bedroom, large bathroom, closet, and balcony access). My sister and I each had our own smaller room, but it was plenty of space for us. The kitchen was well stocked, the living room was comfortable, and there was separate access to the balcony off the dining room. The girls especially liked sitting out there for breakfast. Overall, everything was well-maintained and clean. Jose was a great host, very communicative, answering all my questions. At one point, we didn't have hot water (because my daughter had accidentally turned off the switch to the hot water heater). When I messaged Jose he was concerned and called me immediately. We were very comfortable during out stay, and would stay here again. Do not hesitate to book this VRBO, you won't regret it!

Front gate is an issue

I do not like leaving bad reviews, but I also would feel guilty not warning others, so I need to write this.Let me first say that we love Ocean Plaza and have stayed here 4 times (three times at this unit, once at a different unit). The condo is great - clean, quiet and well furnished, and the location is awesome. The issue that we had was with the front gate. In the 3 previous stays, both hosts have set up the gate so that you enter the unit#, the system calls your phone, you press 9, and the gate opens. On this stay, the system was set to call the host's phone, and we were reliant on him answering his phone and pressing 9 for us. We had issues TWICE - once at check-in (his phone was on 'Silent'), and another time during our stay (he said his phone was dead). We always used the gate during normal hours (10AM-9PM). The first instance was not an issue - we just went to dinner with all our bags loaded in the car. The second time we had to call his wife, and arrange to call a neighbor, who pushed 9 on their phone to let us in. We were stuck for 30 minutes through all of this. There are 3 ways to get through the gate - the phone call method, a 4-digit gate code, or a scannable pass/tag that opens the gate automatically (but I understand the concern of this accidentally being left in a rental car). We will stay at Ocean Plaza again, but if the host cannot set up the gate to call our personal phone, or allow a 4-digit gate code, we will choose a different unit to stay in.

Our telephone company does not allow us to forward the phone, it is an existing issue on which we create a ticket. The additional pass or tag is not permitted by the HOA. You may feel free to use another host, but if the host has the same telephone company, you will have the same problem. I remodeled the apartment to make you more comfortable, but I believe that was not enough. You got better showers, vanities, newer washers and dryers, and newer doors. but that was not enough, so we received 3 stars. But thanks, I hope you enjoy your trip at least.

Great Family Experience

Our family enjoyed our two week stay at the apartment. We found everything to be just as expected. The kids (11&6) declared the pool the best part of vacation. We had plenty of room for our family of 4 to spread out and be comfortable. The best part of the experience was the quick, clear and consistent communication with Jose. It was reassuring to know he would always answers our calls and return our messages quickly with any questions. We will recommend the property and would stay again.

The place was absolutely perfect!! Waking up everyday to the sun rising over the ocean was breathtaking.. This apartment and Luquillo will always hold a special place in my heart!!! Communication with Jose was great and easily accessible.., I highly recommend this place!!!! Great Memories

This property offers an excellent location near beautiful beaches, marinas, rain forest and other attractions. It has 1,410 Square Feet and is very comfortable.

The property is a refreshing color apartment with a lot of light with a massive view of the Atlantic Ocean. You will be able to watch the cruises lines passby at the ocean every night on the weekends and the shipping lines during the day.

To the east you will be able to see the Cabezas de San Juan Lighthouse at Fajardo. To the West you may see El Yunque Rainforest and Luquillo Beach.

The condominium is a Private and residential area with great and friendly neighbors. Is a quiet and calm. During the morning at sunrise you will see a wonderful view which is different everyday.

I love this property and I know you will love it too.

Just imagine waking up every morning and see the ocean. Sit relax at the balcony with a cup of coffee watching the view. Even better from the dining room or living room those also have the same view.
