Dear Vrbo Team,I am writing to formally complain about a stay booked through your platform, which fell well below acceptable standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and preparation.Upon arrival, my family and I were immediately confronted with disappointing conditions. The terrace was covered with leaves, the house was extremely cold, and it was clear that proper cleaning had not been carried out. Although the technical aspects of the property (gate, alarm, heating system, internet) were functional, the lack of hygiene made the first two days of our stay particularly difficult.We documented numerous issues with photos and videos - sawdust in the kitchen, spider webs, mouldy dishes left in cupboards, a toilet that had not been flushed and still contained visible waste, a poorly cleaned bathroom, and a baby bed sheet contaminated with rodent droppings.Despite being charged a fixed cleaning fee, we had to spend the first hours of our stay cleaning, disinfecting with bleach, and deodorising several rooms at our own expense in order to make the property usable. In addition, the house had not been pre-heated, even though our arrival had been confirmed several days in advance.I contacted the host about these issues and later sent a written complaint requesting a partial refund of the accommodation and cleaning fees. Given the clear non-compliance of the property with expected standards, I kindly request your intervention and consideration of appropriate compensation. Best
