Host looking for a sucker to fix my outdated rental

When me and my family rented this home we came late and was unable to gain access at first we called the host and she was very rude and acted like her doing her job was a bother to her. House was very much outdated and looks as if someone was looking for someone to blame and fix the things that were already broken. The carpet inside the home looked as if it needed cleaning, blinds were taped back up in the windows, couch was floppy and not very steady, doors knobs were loose(reason why it was not easy getting into home initial and continued to be an issue opening and locking the door the whole stay),shower knobs were loose on all showers(host charged me saying we turned knob to hard on the first night of being in home but all shower knobs in all showers were broken or loose prior to us coming there and she was just looking for someone to pay to fix it and I guess I was the sucker on this one. The tv’s in the home were very small, furniture in whole house was very worn out spots on dressers and on tables, bathroom was very dusty and old looking, beds were very low to the ground and very uncomfortable. Host only left the bare minimum of supplies (one trash bag for the garbage cans when she promised two one towel and two wash clothes for each bathroom. The pool gave my kid an infection and had to take him to emergency room since it had not been properly cleaned or sanitized. I sent the host a message advising to go behind cleaning people and to update home as a business woman trying to spare her the embarrassment of another guest having this same experience and she just advised me to show her as if I was lying and then charged me for things in her home that were already broken prior to our stay there and she already knew were broken before. I do blame myself for not reading the reviews as I received a notice from the house I booked first that it was double booked and just needed something fast and didn’t want to cancel my daughter’s birthday trip but had I read previous reviews from other guest about updates needed and roaches I never would have booked this place. So please don’t be like me and read reviews before booking a new place and if you get to a home and it looks like the host is looking for someone to blame for her horrible unkept on her home leave and don’t get tricked.

Great place to stay, wish it would have been connected to the main resort area

Great place to stay, I just wish that it had been connected to the main area. I would have liked to have walked down the street to get to the main pool & other areas in the resort. We had to drive out of the small section where the house was located (away from the main resort area) and drive to the main resort area through the front gate to access the rest of the resort. The place was clean and the beds were nice and firm. Plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. Beautifully decorated. The check-in process was fine. The staff was extremely helpful when I called to get the check-in information that afternoon that we were checking-in. They helped get us settled with the guard who didn't have our information yet..

The house was nice more than enough room. pool/Jacuzzi neverheated up . There were roaches also

It was a big disappointment. Apex told us one thing then the Gaurd at the resort was a major butt hole when it came to getting back in the gate to the property. Note this house is in a gated section of the resort. You have to keep showing your ID or a pass which gets very tedious.

In short, it appears that the quality of this property declined dramatically over the summer of 2021, and the owners needed to address some issues. Pros: resort amenities close by, floorplan was good for privacy, garage, furniture Cons: Very long wait to check in at gate, hard for visitors to access, roaches in kitchen, skimpy supplies (only one kitchen trash bag for a house that sleeps 10, when two were advertised), poorly stocked kitchen, scant cookware, cheap mattresses, broken pool fence, not completely clean, needs minor repairs, bad cell service indoors, no internet access all weekend

Roach Motel

This is a nice spacious home, in a really nice gated community. The pool is nice, small but nice. The main this home is the roaches. Immediately after completing my walk through of the home, I went to the kitchen to put our food up and there were roaches on the floor, island and the wall!!! We killed those, only to leave and comeback to more roaches!!! I am more than sure the owners knew this home was roach infested beforehand but they still took our money with no warning! I am praying we don't have any critters in our luggage traveling home with us! We were planning on cooking a nice family dinner but with the roaches living in the kitchen area we refused to eat at the house. In addition, the Wi-Fi password did not work, our kids couldn't play their video games and we couldn't access the internet from our laptop due to no Wi-Fi. The shower in the bedroom by the pool is broken. The handle won't shut the water off, when we called maintenance they told us no one was here to fix and that we could shut the water in the house completely off and turn it on when we need it! Wow! What an inconvenience on a vacation. I will say other than the aforementioned issues the house is nice for a large family- if you dont mind sharing with roaches. Hopefully the owners fix these issues and get a pest control company to spary the home.

The property wasn't very clean. The mop in the closet was very disgusting as well as the garbage seat in the front of the house. There were also baby cockroaches that we had to kill. I wouldn't have been able to stay here if I actually saw the mother cockroach. This house has to have an infestation of cockroaches. The master ensuite was nice but the master bed was very uncomfortable. We had to buy pans to be able to make breakfast as this house is not readily equipped with the necessities to cook with. Therefore we went out for dinner every night. I wouldn't stay here again! Worse house I've stayed at in Florida.

House was beautiful

Only issues I had, the laundry room was sticky, I couldn’t get I touch with anyone about the WiFi connection, the pool was connected to the hot tub, made the pool hot as well. The rooms were beautiful and the restrooms were beautiful as well, it was very spacious 👍🏾.

Terrible Sanitation!

I was not please with the spotted up carpet, spots on chairs and walls. The pool area was not straightened up.I killed roaches in the kitchen. I don't have roaches at Mt house and I used precautions to keep it that way.I even have a video and pictures.

Four Corners

The check in was a disaster. We went to the gate to the property which did not work. After 2 phone calls finally found out we needed to go to the main gate of the whole complex. Then the guard wouldn’t let us enter prior to check in despite the fact I had been told we could go in early. Another phone call and the computer was updated that we could check in early. Still no entry unless all names had been entered on our reservations which I had provided at booking. Very limited cooking pans and utensils. Hot tub is not a hot tub. Paid to have the pool heated but never got above ambient temperature. This had been stated but assumed that was the pool only. Finally found a few extra towels and wash cloths but only 2 towels and wash cloths per bathroom. No bath mats. Garbage bins at front door of every unit was raided by animals every night. This left much trash behind outside the bin at the front door. This is what we found upon check in. We just started taking ours directly to the dumpster Despite all this grandkids had a great time!

Great location. Very clean.

This property was very clean an exactly as described in the listing. The property manager was very responsive to any questions and quick to respond when we had questions. The location was perfect for getting to Disney, and very close to grocery stores and dining options! We were very happy with this property. It was a great place to relax and regroup after long fun filled days at the park, and perfect for relaxing on our off days!

Definitely Book

Booked this place for our family vacation, place was very spacious and we had 17 people including kids staying in the house and still had space. Property Manager was very helpful and attentive to anything we needed or had concerns about. Definitely would book again!
