Wailea - Home away from Home

My wife and I have been coming to Wailea for 15 years. We love this property for its location and sunset views. The property has everything needed to dine in. The covered Lanai off the kitchen and living room is where we spent mornings and evenings enjoying the views and island breezes. The master suite is very comfortable and also has sunset views. Overall the property is in great condition with everything needed to be a home away from home.

Great place with fabulous views

Perfect place for our family to stay. The view from the deck was amazing - especially for sunsets. Communication with Andre was easy and prompt. The pool and jacuzzi on the property were nice after a day at the beach. We would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful views, so close to everything

The place was so clean and well maintained. We loved how close it was to everything. My girlfriend and I had trouble getting our days started because we just wanted to lay in bed and stare at the beautiful view from the bedroom. The location had everything you could possibly want. Coffee maker, washer dryer, grill, accessories for the beach. Will definitely stay here again.

Great Experience

Larry was a great host! He provided detailed and useful information before we arrived. The condo was perfect for me and my two nephews. The pictures were completely accurate. The location was also perfect. I highly recommend staying at this property.

Lovely, clean, comfortable with great view

The condo is very spacious, bright and clean with tasteful art and furnishings. Beds and linens are very comfortable. Kitchen is clean and functional with all the basics, (pans a bit aging. ) Lots of sports and beach equipment and tons of towels. Very grateful for the air conditioned main bedroom because climate change made the 2nd bedroom quite hot even with fans, but that might just be in the summer. the condo is located in a particularly lovely setting and the view of the ocean and the breeze from the lanai are outstanding.

Breathtaking views from the lanai!

We have stayed in hotels and condos up and down the coast, but the view from this condominium is undoubtedly the best we have experienced! We could have rented a place in this price range with a newer kitchen/bathrooms, but the view would not have compared. The condo is in a quiet, meticulously kept complex close to beaches, high-end shops, restaurants, and groceries. Pros: The view from the lanai! This is a spacious unit with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Well-stocked kitchen (all tools needed to prepare most meals). Excellent location. Cons: The unit does tend to get warm in the afternoons. As the listing states, there is air-conditioning only in the master bedroom. Opening all of the windows does help to create a cross breeze. Some parts of the condominium could use a deep cleaning or replacement (shades in master bedroom, washing machine, pillows, carpets). There does seem to be a sugar ant problem in the kitchen. If you leave any food out, they will be upon it within minutes. These are the small, annoying ones, not the bigger, gross ones. Put your food away every time, and it will be fine. Overall, we had a relaxing stay and enjoyed our time in Larry’s condo very much. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Great Value for price and location in Wailea

We had a fabulous family vacation at the Palms at Wailea. The view from the Lanai is even better in person and was the initial selling point of this condo. Beds and pillows were very comfortable after a long day at the beaches. Beach chairs and other beach items were greatly appreciated. 10 min walk to the local beach, though we fell in love with Wailea beach, which was a 3-4 min drive. Location is very quiet and yet close to the shops and grocery store. We rate 4star instead of 5 star, only because 2nd bedroom lacked AC. Don’t leave food out because the sugar ants get in via kitchen

Location and panoramic views are best feature

The location of The Palms is in the heart of Wailea and a 2-10 minute drive to dozens of beaches in Wailea, Makena, and Kihei. The unit is mostly as advertised and the panoramic views are definitely the best feature. Loved the big lanai too. The kitchen, master bedroom and bathrooms are more dated than pics suggest, and the master bedroom carpets and windows shades could use a cleaning, but overall the unit still felt clean and well maintained. My only complaint was the temperature. Wailea is the hottest part of the island and gets the most sun so while the floor to ceiling windows were a best feature, they also allow a LOT of heat inside. There is one AC unit in the master so temps there are ideal, but it hardly helps cool the rest of the space. I recommend activating ceiling fans in every room on arrival, and leaving them on all day, and highly recommend closing shades when you leave for the day, especially the coverings on the west walls for lanai and master bedroom as the afternoon/early evening sun drives temps way up in the evening and makes it really hard to cool before bed. There are also portable fans in bedroom closets which we discovered halfway through our trip but then we set up and used all of them for the rest of the week. A game changer! The property manager, Larry, was very responsive and provided plenty of info prior to arrival, and I loved that the condo is keyless and coded which not only made for easy access but also made it feel very safe.

Wonderful vacation

Condo is great! It is very spacious and well stocked. Dealing with the owner was very efficient and wonderful to work with. Wished we had stayed longer where we could enjoy more of the remarkable sunsets!!

Honeymoon stay

Larry's property is excellent for a stay in the Kihei area of Maui. My wife and I loved having a kitchen and open lanai for our takeout and home-cooked meals. The condo is beautifully decorated and very clean. Beach accessories - chairs, towels, and umbrellas - are provided for use. The location is a moderate walk (20 minutes) or a short drive from Keawakapu Beach and many other excellent Kihei beaches are within driving distance. Larry is an excellent host and very communicative. We will certainly try to make it back for another stay!

Great location, property, and host!

Our stay at The Palms was perfect for our trip to Maui. The location is super convenient to beaches, activities, and restaurants in both Wailea and Kihei. We had a few days where we had to work from the condo and the internet was fast and reliable. Larry is super helpful and responsive as a host. Would definitely stay here again!

Stay at 1202 Palms From Sept 5 to Oct 10, 2018

As a frequent traveler to Maui and a die hard resort person I was leery about switching to a condo for the first time. However after staying at 1202 Palms and dealing with the property owner Larry, all my fears and anxiety were for naught. His place is exactly as advertised. The condo has the best view of any of the units, and comes fully stocked with everything one would need to make a most enjoyable and memorable stay. The views from the lanai are what you dream about when thinking of Hawaii. Rest assured this place is exactly as advertised and I would not hesitate to recommend the unit to anyone. I am not a skeptic of condo life any longer. Larry is an awesome owner to deal with and goes out of his way to ensure your stay will be the most pleasurable one you have ever taken.

The sunset view from the lanai makes this property spectacular!

We've been to Maui several times, and this was our first time staying in the Wailea area and it was fantastic. We will be staying in this area from now on! The Palms grounds are beautiful, the pool was lovely, and the view from this unit was unbelievable. We loved the location - a short walk to the beach and a quick drive to the store or restaurants. Everything was convenient yet quiet and relaxing. This unit is nicely decorated and was perfect for our two adult children and us. We had plenty of space and always enjoyed the options of making breakfast or dinner if we want. The owner was extremely personable and communicative. We enjoyed our stay, and I would highly recommend this unit - the view is worth it!

Really Nice

My wife and I love quiet vacations near or on the beach with less hustle and bustle, but close proximity to all the amenities. This complex and condo completely met our needs as we not only had gorgeous views of the ocean from the Lanai, but the complex was quiet during the day, and more importantly at night when we sat out to watch the sunsets. We were a mere 5min walk and 1min drive to a quiet beach and then another 8min drive to yet another quiet beach where you could snorkel with turtles. Should you want to people watch, the boardwalk linking all the luxury hotels is an hour walk, round trip from condo to Fairmont, where should you like, have access to another beach close to the hotels. The condo has easy access to restaurants including those in the major hotels and close proximity to Safeway. We took a day trip to Paia, Front Street and Lahania which was only an hour away. A fantastic day trip to break up all the beach days. The condo was great. Very large master bedroom, two single beds that opened up the living space where you had a partial view of the ocean. The master has a direct view from the bed. There are plenty of chairs and umbrellas for the beach. This condo from what we could tell is only a few that have this view. Others were blocked by palm trees or were situated further back. The only wish was that the main living area have air conditioning as well, since the kids were with us. However, there is air in the main bedroom. The owner Larry was fantastic to deal with. He was friendly, patient with all my questions and very responsive.

Beautiful place

We really enjoyed our time in the condo. It is spacious and offers beautiful views of the ocean from nearly every room. Our only regret is that we did not spend enough time on the gorgeous Lanai bc we were out most days. Condo is one mile from Wailea shops to which we enjoyed walking each day. Overall great experience!!!

Thanks Larry! The place felt like home. We enjoyed the sunsets and the view at breakfast time! Spacious, easy walk to the beach and close to all the great lounges and restaurants! Place felt like a home away from home with a great kitchen and loved the windows open to the lanai. Grounds of the Palms are pristine and the pool/hot tub has a great view as well. Leaving too soon! Loved it.

Wow! Best lanai ocean and sunset views at the Palms.

Wow! What a great unit. We stayed here April 2018 for a family reunion. Over the years, my brother and his wife have stayed in several different units at the Palms and said Larry's unit had the best lanai view of all. The unit was huge in size for four of us (2 adults and 2 teens). Bonus - WIFI is lightning fast according to our teens! The owner, Larry was a pleasure to deal with. We will DEFINITELY book this unit again.

Relaxing and serene yet easy access to everything

Fantastic stay in June '17. Apartment is beautifully decorated and has amazing views of the ocean. We very much enjoyed morning and evening meals on the lanai as a family in the cooler temps enjoying the views. Apartment is spacious and very clean. Good collection of cooking equipment and base condiments as well as a few beach toys, chairs etc. overall a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Maui.

This Californian loves getting off the airplane and feeling that tropical and relaxing air of Maui knowing he will be looking at the ocean from his lanai in 30 minutes.

The Palms at Wailea is ideally located near beaches shopping eating and everything else you look for on Maui. And those that know Wailea know it is the perfect laid back low key location with the best weather and beaches on the island

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

When you walk into our place the first thing that will hit you are the panoramic ocean views from all the rooms. It's what we saw and fell in love with from day one. It's the reason we paid the highest price every paid in the Development. The vaulted ceiling in the huge living room creates a feeling of open ness and scale not found in other units in the complex. Our lanai is where you want to spend quality time whether for early morning time or for wonderful full on sunsets year round.
