La casa de Papaouli Beach se encuentra a menos de 50 metros de la playa más hermosa. Nuestra casa de dos dormitorios y 3 baños completos tiene capacidad para 6 personas. Nuestro dormitorio principal es un concepto al aire libre con un lanai privado, cama queen y jacuzzi. La planta principal tiene una gran sala de estar, futón hawaiano de la reina, comedor, cocina completa, lavadora y secadora, ducha a ras de suelo y sauna. El segundo dormitorio tiene dos camas individuales, a pedido se puede convertir en un rey, TV y un baño completo con ducha a ras de suelo. Experimenta fabulosas puestas de sol desde nuestra terraza. No necesita irse para disfrutar de todas las actividades oceánicas porque están a solo unos pasos de distancia; bodyboard, SUP, kayak, largas caminatas por la costa, relajarse bajo el sol y mucho más. La casa de playa Papaouli se aleja de la carretera principal en un tranquilo camino privado. Esta casa de dos pisos tiene capacidad para 6 personas, cuenta con 3 baños de tamaño completo, una cocina totalmente equipada, lavadora / secadora, jacuzzi, sauna, dos televisores, cable básico y wifi. Aunque estamos sentados fuera de la calle en un camino privado. Este dúplex se encuentra frente a la playa y tiene un paisaje bien cuidado que se puede disfrutar con amigos y familiares junto con una barbacoa de briquetas compartida. Las vistas del océano y las montañas del oeste de Maui son impresionantes. Menos de 50 yardas en el Southside es un complejo de condominios. El paisajismo entre las dos propiedades brinda la privacidad muy necesaria. Disfrute de los exuberantes jardines, barbacoas, puestas de sol y cócteles. The beach view was unobstructed. Exactly as described and pictured. I loved the location. Quick walk to Nalus, coffee, and more. We saw several whales breaching, several turtle's sunning on the beach or swimming in the water. The house has the cutest Hawaiian charm. It was incredibly clean. Not a speck of dust and the cleanest linens. Love the back screen door. Love the personal touches. Marti was easy to talk to so easy to. Would stay here over and over again. Loved our trip so much.

Beautiful Lipoa sunsets

Wonderful time on Maui! The beach is beautiful, turtles come on shore almost daily, perfect whale watching from the deck, and can’t beat the sunset location. Would definitely stay here again. The house is well kept, comfortable, and all you need for a Maui vacation. Property owners were responsive and helpful.

This home was even more fantastic than we could've imagined! From the pictures, I couldn't tell if the beach was literally RIGHT there or if it was a bit of a walk. Either way, I knew the beach was close. Let me tell you...the beach is literally RIGHT there. We traveled with a toddler, so it was incredibly convenient to set up the beach chairs and be able to go back up to the house quickly to make lunch, grab snacks, change diapers, etc. The house itself is so charming and well-stocked: lots of hangers in all closets, a pack n play, games (we love Rummikub!), TONS of towels and extra linens, and more. When you open the back doors, you get the most terrific breeze and feel like you're outside, even though you're inside. It also feels SO private. You share a common wall with the unit next door and their are lots of other rentals in the area, but the hedges and trees give you the utmost privacy. I thought the beach would be more crowded than it was, as we went during "ski week." Each day, it was almost all ours. In many of our pictures, it looks like we're on a private beach! Marti was a fantastic host. Extremely communicative and concerned with our happiness. I'll be telling friends and family about this place. Such a gem! Oh, and last thing: there's a liquor store down the street that sells poke and rice. It sounds weird to buy poke from a liquor store, but it was the BEST—and also much cheaper than other nearby places!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Kihei. The house has a true Hawaiian charm — cozy, laid-back, and full of character, with thoughtful details that make it feel like a home rather than just a rental. Being directly on the beachfront made our days feel incredibly special. From morning walks by the water to sunsets right in front of the house, it felt like living inside a postcard.We were also touched by the lovely welcome basket filled with local products — such a heartfelt gesture that immediately set the tone for our stay and made us feel warmly received.The location could not be more convenient. Everything is just a short walk away — grocery stores, cafés, restaurants, surf shops, even a doctor and pharmacy if needed.Although we never met the homeowner in person, communication was always smooth and attentive. Whenever we had a question or needed something, she responded quickly and kindly, which made the whole stay feel easy and well taken care of.This stay gave us exactly what we hoped for: slow mornings, ocean days, and an authentic sense of Maui living. We loved every minute and would return without hesitation.Highly recommended.

We Will Be Back

Our family loved this home! The location can’t be beat! Steps from a beautiful, walkable, swimmable beach; short drive (or walk) to amazing food and shopping, but you get to return to a peaceful getaway. The home is beautiful, warm, and filled with Ohana. The lodging next door appears family oriented and was never loud or intrusive. Whale watching every morning off the upper deck (end of March) and sea turtles every day on the beach. Great alternative to a condo rental. We will be back!!

Great spot!

My family (including two teen boys) and I just ended a wonderful week vacation in Maui. Incredible views with the beach and ocean right out the back door. We saw turtles in the ocean out front every day. The beach towels, beach chairs and beach blanket that were provided were perfect. The sauna and hot tub were nice to have available. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook a nice meal including utensils, pans, spices and oil. We enjoyed the ease of walking to the store and nearby restaurants. Anytime we had a question, Marti was quick to respond. We can’t wait to come back!

Dreamy Authentic Hawaiian Hideaway

This has been our best VRBO rental by far. The house had everything we needed down to a full array of spices, towels, chairs, welcome basket etc…I could go on and on. The views are nothing less than spectacular. We had a full moon our entire week and felt like we were going to bed gazing out on a scene straight from the play South Pacific. Nothing short of magical. We saw sea turtles sunbathing on the beach, whales offshore and had the privacy you only dream of. Even the grass is divine…lush, soft and spongy; my daughter was surprised she could walk out on the path to the beach without getting “stickers” as we call them in the Carolinas…AKA sand spurs! The design of the house and the decor is definitely old school Hawaii and harkens back to a simpler time. The large wooden French doors opening to the lanai were stunning and let in the Hawaiian breezes that kept the house cool all day.

What an extraordinary spot for a honeymoon!

We were in heaven! We arrived to the sound of surf and cool breezes blowing through the floor-to-ceiling windows. There, on the kitchen table, was a wildly generous gift basket of fresh fruits, chocolates, cookies, jam, and coffee. The kitchen itself was perfectly equipped, including coffee, tea, and spices. The house ... I can hardly describe how wonderful the house is -- the big decks, the upstairs bedroom with its Jacuzzi tub and surf-and-sunset views, the comfy living room, the privacy-protecting landscaping, and the well-kept lawn that stretches all the way to the sand dunes of Kihei's sweet little beach. It also came equipped with everything we needed. Beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, and more. We truly felt more like guests than like vacation renters. Thank you, Marti, for your gracious house and your gracious self. I would just offer one small caveat; If you have mobility problems just know that this house has a LOT of stairs. Its three+ levels are part of its charm, but we got as much exercise walking around inside as we did from walking on the beach.

Nice house on the beach

My wife and I stayed here with our two sons (3 & 2). The house is in a great location in Kihei and essentially on the beach. I saw some other reviews that knocked the beach, but I don’t agree. The beach is beautiful for a swim or reading a book. We saw many turtles swimming around as well. The kitchen was stocked with the essentials and they left a nice welcome package. Beach amenities including chairs and umbrella were included. The views from the deck and balcony were so beautiful (perfect sunsets). I would not stay here in warmer months, as there is not air conditioning. When we had multiple days above 85F, it was challenging to stay cool even with all the windows open. This made it tough for our youngest to nap at times, but we all adjusted and still had a great vacation. I would also suggest they replace all the pillows. They really weren’t comfortable (flat, no support) and there weren’t extra anywhere we could find. Marti was accommodating to us and allowed us to add an extra adult a few weeks before our stay. Communication was smooth and we had no real issues. They also provided a nice pack n play for our toddler. Our kids loved all the little geckos running around the house.

We had a great time in Maui. The positives: Great location--Convenient to get to the west for sight-seeing, the south for the beautiful beaches, the volcano for sunrise, the airport for inter-island and mainland travel, and of course Hana. We were steps away from the beach--watched nearly every breathtaking sunset. The Manager--very responsive. Marti made every attempt to prepare the place for our stay and even ran an errand within the hour for something that went missing in the kitchen. Amenities--the place had everything you will need for your stay! Only 2 downsides: We were not originally aware it was a duplex. Not a downside--but good for future renters to be aware of--didn't notice the neighbors that shared the wall. The only issues we had were the lack of privacy due to the beautiful upper loft (master bedroom) not having a door. It would not have been an issue if it were just the immediate family, but the stairs are above the main bathroom/part kitchen and laundry area. There was lots of noise leading up the stairs. Also, there is a shuffle board, grill, and pool that belong to the neighboring complex situated within feet of the property line. The foliage gives privacy, but the noise was the biggest issue. Having to keep the windows open at night, we were kept up till well past 11 listening to the noise. Not great when getting up early for activities the next morning.

Aloha Quinn, Thank you for your feed back. It’s very helpful. I was unaware of the noise that late next door. I’m notifying the resident manager. Regarding the master bedroom, it’s an open air concept (not for all I realize) we do not plan to install a door anytime soon. I am purchasing a Shoji door for a little more privacy and we’ll discuss with family about a plan for a door in the near future. My apologies ahead of time. I was positive I advertised we are a duplex. I will have my website tech make the corrections and get that wording on our website right away. Mahalo again, Marti

Great stay in Kihei

We had a wonderful time at this home. We loved the beachfront access and ease of getting everywhere we wanted around Maui. The location can’t be beat!! Marti was a wonderful host providing information and communicating in a timely manner. The house is set up with everything you need for cooking meals and for spending time on the beach!! We loved the afternoon/evening breeze which really kept the house at just the right temperature when we were there.

Great stay

We had a really great time here! The place was well stocked with everything we needed. They also left a wonderful welcome basket with local treats and fruit. The fans in addition to the breeze were enough for us that not having AC wasn't an issue. Wonderful proximity to the beach, and the view is fantastic. There was a minor power outage for a few hours one night but we had excellent communication from Marti to help locate flashlights. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent on multiple fronts!

First off, the host of this property was far more generous than other rental owners, in my experience. They provided so many basics/extras (think laundry detergent, welcome basket with treats, plenty of beach towels, etc.). I felt they genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay vs simply make money. LOCATION: so convenient! Close to grocery, so many restaurants, several beaches, yet we felt tucked away, secluded with privacy. NOISE: several other reviews mentioned the resort next door being a little rowdy. This wasn’t our experience at all. It was near silent 24/7. Ironically, the only time we were a tad put off was by our “duplex-mates” who lacked a little social etiquette, but such is life. NO A/C: It might just be luck of the draw and maybe our weather was warmer than usual, but this was an issue for us. Since hardly anyone else mentioned it, I have to assume we might be a little more sensitive to heat but wanted to give an honest perspective. Yes, the afternoons are breezy. But that’s also when the setting sun is pouring into the windows. Each night of our stay the breeze literally STOPPED at 8pm for the next twelve hours. I’ve never seen palms so still. If you have no issues with this, great. But wanted to let folks know since it could be a risk if you’re heat averse. Overall, this place and the host are awesome. An A/C window unit in the upstairs bedroom would’ve made it perfection! Thank you!!

Beautiful Ocean Front Duplex

Beautiful views from deck and master bedroom. 2 decks to enjoy the sunsets. Lots of room to spread out. Kitchen is well stocked. Lots of stairs, so great for exercise, but if mobility challenged it would be an effort daily. Short walk to great beach!

Fantastic place

This is one of the best VRBO places we have ever stayed in. Location is ESCELLENT, steps away from the beach and very close to groceries, restaurants, etc. Also easy to get to Wailea beaches and south (5-10 minutes), Maalea and North (5-10 minutes), and about 30 minutes from Lahaina and 45 minutes from Kanaapali. The property itself is outstanding, with comfy beds, modern appliances, beach chairs, towels and umbrella provided, sauna (which we did not take advantage of), wonderful porches for watching the sunsets and whale spotting, and quite private. Yes, there is a small resort (screend from view by the trees) next door, but it was very quiet and we felt very secluded, especially for being in the heart of Kihei. All beds were comfy, bathrooms were large, just a great, great place. We hope to stay here again (if we ever make it back to Hawaii).

Amazingly Gorgeous Property!

This property is absolutely amazing! The photos online are beautiful and they don't even do it justice. The sunset views are some of the most amazing we've ever seen. The beach, which is about 30 feet from the door, has soft sand and the water has lots of beautiful sea turtles. The water isn't ideal for snorkeling because the visibility isn't great but you are 5 minutes away from many other great snorkeling beaches. The house itself is great! Off street parking is great. Plenty of space. 3 bathrooms, one on each level. Nice size living area with a nice TV. Full size kitchen with all the amenities and plenty of counter space. The master bedroom on the top level is spectacular. Spacious, Jacuzzi tub w/shower, and the most amazing view you can imagine. There is a lanai off of the master bedroom as well that offers even better views than the main floor lanai. Great place for morning coffee or sunset cocktails. The location is pretty good as well. Kihei is a resort/tourist area but the house is in an area secluded from most of that. The benefit of a resort town is that there is plenty of shopping, dining, etc. within walking distance. The only slight downside is the condo/resort next door. It is separated by large hedges so privacy isn't a problem. You are completely private. Sometimes it can get a little noisy next door but it seems like a family oriented resort so after dinner things are completely quiet. The proprietor, Marti, was awesome. Quick to respond to any questions I had through the VRBO site. Even gave us some suggestions on things to do on Maui. Overall this is an amazing property, with an amazing location, and an amazing proprietor. We would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking to visit Maui. We can't wait to return!

The perfect spot!

This was a wonderful place to stay. The house is perfect, with the beach just steps away from the porch. Not crowded, easy access to other parts of Maui, quiet, amazing view from the balcony with our coffee in the mornings. Marti was quick to reply when we needed, and very helpful and generous! We're rebooking for next year!
