Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This small condo was just right for the 3 of us. Perfect location on the water. Easy rental to work with when it comes to codes, access to unit and communication. I will say however, this unit has some much needed TLC. The 2 blue chairs in the living area are about to bust. I told my 75 year old mom to not go near them or she'll end up on the floor. No hooks in the bathroom for towels, and some cabinet updating would be wonderful! The linens and unit were very clean upon our arrival and it had the basic things we needed to start our trip. If your a hand washer like me, you will want to bring your own hand soap as they only leave you with body bars. There are not lounge chairs on the lower patio like pictures show. The golf was WONDERFUL & the resort in general was very upkept and clean. The rental company was very quick to respond and very helpful with any questions we may have had! We ate at Dewey Destin & the Back Porch. 5 stars for both place!!! The Whart was fun to take the golf cart to! A map of how to navigate over there would have been helpful, thankful for friends for who were staying across the way and came and got us to show us how to get over there.

Reviewer Comments: Overall this place was a mixed bag......Positives include a beautiful westward sunset view and great location at Beachside II in Sandestin.Negatives were the place was quite dated and needs upgrades - peeling paint on drawers, stained and peeling ceiling paint.Also, there is a private sun deck but no lounger as was depicted in the photos. The deck also needs a cleanup from the construction debris.

We enjoyed the stay

Didn’t like the people from other condos using our beach area. It way over crowded our beach access and area. The cost of renting an umbrella was way overpriced.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Cabinets need fixed. There was a bag of garbage left and there was a bra pad under the sleeper. The Bed was comfortable. The shower door wasn't very clean. The lint catcher in drier needed cleaned out and fixed. Its a wonder that it hasn't caught something on fire. The Door Lock was messing up and had to be changed. I will say that maintenance did promptly get that fixed. We have stayed in many Condos in Beachside II and this was my least favorite.

Condo needs a lot of attention due to wear and tear.

The condo was nicely decorated but the kitchen & bath cabinets were not in good shape. They definitely need replacing. One of the utility doors to washer/dryer was broken. One dresser drawer was also broken. Very limited bedroom storage as the closet is being used for many household items. Owners should also address the issue that housekeeping/maintenance staff should only use the freight elevators and not the guests elevators. It’s a long enough wait without getting bypassed regularly bc elevators were full of staff and/or their cleaning carts. We were not prepared for the beach chair rental to be so high. We did not pack chairs as we planned to rent them again. It was inconvenient to have to go shop for chairs rather than rent this year. We were told property owners wanted more benefit from the chair rentals so the cost to rent went up from last year. Property rental companies should list the beach rental prices in their listings. Many people are traveling from far away and do not have the luxury to bring their own chairs and plan to rent. We certainly did not budget $420 just for beach chair rental. Fortunately we had some spare space to pack our new chair purchase for the trip home. We came prepared to use the fitness center but was told it was no longer available bc of building renovations. This should have been omitted from the property listing. Lastly, the balcony furniture was in really bad shape. The legs on all the tables and chairs were terribly rusted out. Most were unusable. It was concerning that so much rust debris was constantly being spread on the floor every time a chair or table was moved. Patio door also would not lock. We did not contact management as all these issues would not be resolved during our visit. On a side note, we were shocked that so much ocean seaweed washed on shore throughout most of or visit which kept many beach goers from using much of the shoreline. Would like to know if this happens often and if so is there any sort of beach maintenance that is in place like we’ve seen on other beaches visited to grade the shoreline to remove it so people can utilize the beach without fighting through so much debris? It was very messy and had a bad oder after a few days. We enjoyed our vacation but we expected the property to be in better shape.

The cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom were peeling and unsightly. Some were covered in duct tape making them sticky. 2. Light switches - The bedroom switch did nothing. Hard not having a light that you could turn on from the door. A light switch in the entryway did nothing??? Possibly for a non-existent light in the living room?Lighting - The light over the table is a statement piece, but gives off little light. Couldn't play cards under it in the evening. The living room had 2 little table lamps - couldn't see well enough to do any reading in evening. Needs a floor lamp or 2 by couch. The bedroom was always dark - the lamps didn't do the job. Windows - Lovely view obscured by cloudy patio door pane. Bedroom window - also leaky- with mold between panes?Furniture - Overall nice and clean- one chair had repaired leg that looked wonky so never used it (safety), desk chair legs need super tightening. Bed great, bottom drawer under TV -didn't use because we didn't want to break it.Closets - Need to organize tiny entry closet. More space if hooks were used. Need wall hooks by front door as there is no place to hang coats. Bedroom closet - so full of crammed in extra bedding and pillows on shelf and on floor that there is hardly room for clothes. Remember, this is the only place to hang coats too!Loved little bench outside of door. Saved us from tracking in a lot of sand.Kitchen - Everything worked well. A cookie sheet would be nice. A working can opener (or directions for use) would be nice. A few more water glasses needed.Patio furniture - LOVED the deck areas! Furniture did the trick, but legs all rusted out and wobbly. Chaise Loungers- some bolts near breaking, hose thrown in a pile. Parking great! Landscaping great!Would LOVE if allowed dogs! Wishing for hot tub, better exercise area. Learned Pickle Ball!

Loved our Beachside II condo

Rented from Platinum Vacations on a 5 day getaway to SanDestin. The unit was perfect for the 2 of us in the 1 bedroom, 1 bath . Decorated nicely and well stocked kitchen…the Blender did not work and a replacement was promptly delivered to the room. Easy, direct access to the Beach. Definitely will return.
